We are confident you won't want to leave the farm, but in case you choose to explore beyond our 98 acres there is lots to still see and do within only a short drive. We are located close to Buckhorn, where you can explore more lakes, pick your own berries or visit pumpkin patches, pick up groceries or enjoy the restaurants in Buckhorn.  Also, in nearby Bobcaygeon you can find world-class shopping and dining, parks, beaches, festivals, a heritage village, and even more lakes. Welcome to Cedar Creek Forest Camping! Voted second best campsite in Canada in 2021 and ranked number 2 in Ontario in 2022. I have 97 acres of very private camping. The forest is a bird watcher’s and nature lover’s paradise. I have developed miles of flat groomed trails and a 3-acre pond (plus several bush ponds). The sites are spread around the pond and are close but not right beside it. There is an abundant amount of wildlife to explore: birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects and mammals call this home. There is a small swimming hole on the island but otherwise the pond is full of aquatic life. The sites and trails are maintained all year long and the forest is quiet and beautiful. I have planted over 3000 trees with the help of the Severn Sound Environmental Association. The forest is registered as a managed woodlot with the province and habitat preservation/restoration is the priority goal. Please DO NOT bring firewood for your visit. I have large bags of cured firewood that was sustainable harvested from the forest available. Invasive insects and disease can be transferred from imported wood. Guests are welcome to quietly explore the forest trails but are asked to stay on the trail. Many birds and animals nest in the forest. My campsite is family-friendly (and pet-friendly), and 420 friendly too. Guests can easily drive up to and park at all campsites. My camp site is tolerant and respectful of all humans, animals and things. The Yurtle structures were built from Hemlock trees that were cut from this forest and processed into boards, then engineered into unique camping huts. Large windows capture the glory of the surrounding forest and sun sets, while wood stoves warm campers on those cold days/nights. It’s exceptionally quiet and peaceful—no neighbors, no road noise, and no artificial light at night. Expect stars, birdsong, and deep calm. The cabin is solar-powered and designed for comfortable off-grid living. It sleeps up to six guests and includes an incinerator toilet, a generator for backup power, and a wood stove for heat. Guests must be comfortable operating a wood stove safely, as this is the primary heat source during cooler months. Weekend Trip to Cabin In The Woods

My wife and I have been winter camping many times and this was our favorite cabin rental ever! It has been a great getaway and adventure for us and our dogs. We arrived with alot of snow and were planning to hike. Thanks to the hosts as they have snowshoes available at the cabin! We had a blast in the trails. The cabin's stove was perfect, kept it cozy and warm throughout the weekend. The well water with a hand pump was an added surprise and let me tell you how good that water is! We were both talking about it all weekend. Hosts were amazing, had fire going for when we arrived, took us to the cabin and after that it was just us. Perfect 10/10 for us as this is exactly how we like to camp. Will be back for sure.

We had an absolutely amazing weekend here, and Vanessa provided everything we could possibly need. The wood stove was easy to maintain and keep burning, and the locale was quiet and so gorgeous.
