A serene retreat awaits in North Kawartha. With over 300 private acres, there is an abundance of bush and waterways to explore. Whether you are looking for a waterfront campsite or a cabin with a large deck overlooking a small lake, you will surely enjoy the opportunity to experience our little slice of paradise. The cabin is a 12 minute walk in on groomed trails. Atvs can be accommodated for getting to and from the sites and further trail exploring if you’re looking for adventure. Hammock campers are able to hike the trails and choose their own backcountry site. Tent sites have been cleared in exceptional spots that are easily accessible by foot, ATV or jeep. Valet for your supplies is available, and you can enjoy the enchanting walk in the bush to your spot. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions. We can accommodate!

Cabin in the woods is a solar powered cozy cabin with a double bed and very comfortable couch. Lovely outhouse. Firepit. Tv with vcr. Woodstove for chilly nights. Sit on the deck overlooking the small lake and relax. Take the canoe or row boat around the lake to explore. Walk the extensive trails to explore the surrounding landscape, check out the beaver dams, see the nesting cranes. You can drive most of the way to the cabin and walk the remaining trail in or we can provide an escort with ATV and trailer to get your supplies back. There are two large coolers to store food and drinks. This site can accommodate a tent if you want to bring the kids or a friend. This is an exceptional spot like no other. This bush retreat is an amazing getaway and we look forward to sharing our enchanting spot with you. If there is something you need not mentioned, just ask. We are more than happy to accommodate.

Restful, picturesque and quiet
Cabin in the woods
Nestled in a serene and picturesque haven, this spot is a nature paradise, where the only sounds are the breeze and the whispers of the wild. The hosts were great, making sure we had everything we need to make our stay perfect. I can’t wait to return! The cabin was spotless, with a refreshing breeze that kept everything feeling fresh. Plus, it’s an absolute dream for stargazing enthusiasts. Very private, highly recommended!

We had a fantastic long weekend camping here. Our campsite was very private, with an amazing view of a lake/pond. We felt like we were alone in the middle of the wilderness yet the house was a short drive away and there was plenty to do in the area around their property. Pamela and her family were super kind and made sure we had everything we need. I recommend this spot for anyone looking to get away.

So much to explore! Pamela and fam were awesome hosts that booked us last minute due to a double booking at other accommodations. Amazing property with great hiking trails/well flagged. Tons of places to put a tent and easily explored. Kayaks were a plus!
