There is a small cabin and two camp sites to choose from.
Site 1 is best suited for tents and small campervans, less than 18' or so (though people with small trailers like tear drop campers have been fine).
Site 2 has a much larger flat area that can hold RVs up to 30'.
Cabin available for those that want to sleep in a cozy bed and have a warm fire :)
Outhouse on the property, which is just a pit toilet. It is a working farm so will likely have various equipment around at times as well as workers at certain times of the year. You’ll likely meet our very friendly and very energetic Bernedoodle, Bernie. If you prefer to keep him out of your campsite just let us know and we can keep him closer. Otherwise, he thinks he has the run of the place! Please check to see if campfires are allowed (live in a high-risk fire zone) and firewood is available with an extra charge. If you need anything to better enjoy your stay, just let us know!
Our property is located in Peachland, BC. Please note that there are no amenities available at the campsite. Campers will need to have a self-contained vehicle and leave no trace. We are dog friendly and request that dogs remain under their owner's control at all times and on leash.
We do not allow campfires as our home burned down last year in the McDougal Creek fire as well as a lot of the neighbourhood so we don’t allow any fires or smoking cigarettes on the property.
We will be building our new home during the summer but the build is a bit away from where the sites are so it shouldn’t be an issue. But this is forwarded as we know that this is a priority for us as so we won’t stop building even if we have campers, so we just want everyone to know this in advance!

We look forward to offering fellow nature lovers an opportunity to appreciate the benefits and peace Braeheart Nature Retreat has to share.
Whether you are seeking a more private get away or an opportunity to experience our developing homestead ideas/practices, we are devoted to meeting your desires.
We are located 2km from Harald Provincial Pk. and the world renowned Margaret Falls. Our nearest town for services, Salmon Arm, is 25km away, and is host to the annual Roots and Blues Festival. Swimming, hiking, kayaking, wine touring, and weekly farmers markets are a few of the many local activities to enjoy. The birth of Chute Lake started approximately a century ago. The combined population of Kelowna and Penticton was a mere 7,000, and the First World War was just wrapping up. A bustling new sawmill on the shore of Chute Lake had a crew of hardworking loggers thinking it was time to build themselves a place to sleep and eat.
Raw materials certainly wouldn’t be an issue, located in the middle of a forest. The crews worked all day turning trees into logs. Soon enough those logs were being hauled from the mill and up a gentle slope to the proposed location of the new bunkhouse.
A few years later, the Kettle Valley Railway would arrive, and the mill and freshly built bunkhouse would take on additional roles. It served as a water stop for the steam engines that pulled the passing trains. Enterprising mill workers would even sell some of the large fish they pulled from the lake to the dining carts.
These were the formative years Chute Lake Lodge. Cabins have been added and in the 1980s, the central lodge building nearly doubled in size. The restaurant was added with lodge rooms above. The railway that ran directly in front was converted into one of the best cycling paths in the province.

You'll be steps away from the water and listening to it lapping on the shore while having everything you need in your renovated Vintage Airstream Argosy 20 (Periwinkle). She comfortably sleeps 2 but could accommodate a family of 3-4 with small children only (max of 2 adults). Periwinkle has a full dry bath and kitchen with outdoor furniture, bbq, coffee machine, cooking supplies, linens and toiletries all provided. You will have 450' of private lakefront and an amazing lawn area for outdoor games all covered by the soft glow of yard lights magically suspended above. Periwinkle is located in a protected bay on the North Shore of Shuswap Lake next to a bird sanctuary. It is approx. 30min off of Hwy 1. 15 min from a full grocery store with liquor, full service restaurants, bowling alley and mini golf and 5 min from corner stores and a winery with the golf courses being 15 or 30 min away. There are numerous hiking trails, gorgeous waterfalls and beaches within an hours drive by car or boat. There is lots of exploring to do in the area. Bring your boat or just lie around on the beach with a great book and a cool drink.

Fluffy Bunny Farms is a private 6-acre property located only 15 minutes from downtown Kelowna! It’s the perfect place to camp near Bear Creek Provincial Park and Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park.
We have 3 private campsites with stunning mountain views perfect for a small trailer, or self-contained camper van/tent.
Guests can enjoy biking, fishing, hiking and wildlife watching all nearby. We also have a white sand volleyball court to relax and enjoy some friendly competition with your camping partner at the end of your day.
Please note that there are no amenities available at the campsite. Campers will need to have a self-contained vehicle and leave no trace. We are dog friendly and request that dogs remain under their owner's control at all times and on leash.
We do not allow campfires as our home burned down last year in the McDougal Creek fire as well as a lot of the neighbourhood so we don’t allow any fires or smoking cigarettes on the property.
We will be building our new home during the summer but the build is a bit away from where the sites are so it shouldn’t be an issue. But this is forwarded as we know that this is a priority for us as so we won’t stop building even if we have campers, so we just want everyone to know this in advance!

We are privileged to permanently reside on and be the stewards of 7 acres beside Shuswap Lake, Okanagan BC, in the unceded territory of the Sechwepmec peoples. We have been creating a homestead in harmony with nature over the past 11 years. We reside year round in the Post and beam straw bale home that was built in 2000. Our current project is building our “aging in place” hemp lime cottage. Once completed it is our plan to build an in ground greenhouse. Additional future plans include building for a music studio, further development of our food forest, and the offering of self development training workshops. Additional camping/rv sites will be made available in the coming years. We look forward to offering fellow nature lovers an opportunity to appreciate the benefits and peace Braeheart Nature Retreat has to share.
Whether you are seeking a more private get away or an opportunity to experience our developing homestead ideas/practices, we are devoted to meeting your desires.
We are located 2km from Harald Provincial Pk. and the world renowned Margaret Falls. Our nearest town for services, Salmon Arm, is 25km away, and is host to the annual Roots and Blues Festival. Swimming, hiking, kayaking, wine touring, and weekly farmers markets are a few of the many local activities to enjoy. Facilities on the campsite will be shared with a max. of 4 persons at any one time during the open season this year. We will be available on site, via text or in person to answer questions or meet any needs you may have. Most basic needs are provided, just bring your cooler of food and your set!

The birth of Chute Lake started approximately a century ago. The combined population of Kelowna and Penticton was a mere 7,000, and the First World War was just wrapping up. A bustling new sawmill on the shore of Chute Lake had a crew of hardworking loggers thinking it was time to build themselves a place to sleep and eat.
Raw materials certainly wouldn’t be an issue, located in the middle of a forest. The crews worked all day turning trees into logs. Soon enough those logs were being hauled from the mill and up a gentle slope to the proposed location of the new bunkhouse.
A few years later, the Kettle Valley Railway would arrive, and the mill and freshly built bunkhouse would take on additional roles. It served as a water stop for the steam engines that pulled the passing trains. Enterprising mill workers would even sell some of the large fish they pulled from the lake to the dining carts.
These were the formative years Chute Lake Lodge. Cabins have been added and in the 1980s, the central lodge building nearly doubled in size. The restaurant was added with lodge rooms above. The railway that ran directly in front was converted into one of the best cycling paths in the province.

Enjoy the outdoors at our campsite at Shuswap Lake, where you can bring your own tent or RV. Our property sits just off the main road with a view of the lake and access to the beach and forest. We have two sites that can hold up to four guests each. Pets are welcome. Nearby lakeside attractions include Shuswap Lake Marine Provincial Park and Cinnemousun Narrows Provincial Park
The property has a firepit with provided firewood, and an outhouse. The 2 fully serviced Rv's have running water, power and kitchen & bathroom facilities. Flat parking is available. For those bringing an RV, the pull-in site can accommodate up to 40 feet in length. There are no hookups, and generators are not allowed.
To the west along the lake, the communities of Scotch Creek and Ross Creek have a few shops and food options. The greater Shuswap Lake area offers a wealth of activities, from kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing, and fishing to visiting wineries and dining at local restaurants.

Camp 1 handled our Class B. I rented both sites and our friends were introduced into Hipcamping using site 2. Their trailer a small to medium size fit easily there with a drive through setup. The two camps are closer together for RVs but further apart of tents campers.
The camp property is a very short drive on a large dirt road. It is located at a 600 foot elevation above town, we decided not to ride the bikes to town due one rider uses a three wheel bike which needs more space.
The condition was OK but could be checked for trash we try to pickup what was there. It was great having access to water being that this was our fourth stop on this trip. Great to be in the country with a sea of grapes and lake in you front view. We did see and hear turkeys and other wild life.
The gate needed to be opened and closed it could use a tune-up.

Nice grassy place, level and clean. The camps are well spaced and is definitely the best we have been to. We have a class B so we just rotated to suit our needs and we were setup. The posting does show the camp well.
If you go to town on a Sunday get there before 3pm.

It's an active horse farm, but the camping spot is high up above, and secluded from, most of the activity. Super clean/new portapotty. Less than 30 mins to town. Really nice host. Would recommend.

We loved staying on Denise and Korys property and getting to stay in Periwinkle was absolutely fantastic. They are incredible hosts and the property is large with plenty of tree coverage for those hot days and a beautiful beach right at your toes. We had our dog Rundle out who couldn’t have been happier to sleep in the shade and swim every day. Lots to do and see in the area that’s worth checking out! We’ll be back!

A very peaceful spot at the top of the hill behind their horse (and goat) farm. In fact, two horses seemed to spend most of their time peacefully eating hay in their pasture beside us.
As others mentioned, there were a number of species of birds flitting around in the trees.
The sunsets behind Black Mountain were lovely.
Note: it was very dry and dusty when we were there. I am not sure what the laneway up to the site and the camping site itself would be like in rainy weather.

We loved tenting at Back Forty Vineyards. The view waking up to rows of grapevines each morning was beautiful, and the amount of stars at night around the fire was incredible.
We stayed in Site 2 which is down in a small hollow, which was nice for privacy. Site 1 is not too far away but its up on a bit of a hill so it does still feel private.
There's an outhouse not far from the site, and a water tap between the 2 campsites which is convenient. There's nowhere to shower so prepare accordingly. Daryn offers firewood for sale by the full or half wheelbarrow, which are decently priced.
Daryn was a great host. He sent a welcome message before our arrival with all the necessary instructions, and any questions I had he was very responsive to. And I can't forget to mention Bernie, the farm dog who watches over the vineyard. He's a friendly boy and likes to check in on his campers.
All in all I would definitely recommend camping here to anyone looking for an alternative experience to the typical cramped campground style. It's not every day you get to wake up, drink a coffee and eat breakfast in a vineyard. I'm sure we'll be back again soon!

Monet would have loved to paint Herman Lake! It was hard to leave.
