Site 3 - Hangin Loose in Sicamous Camp Sites

It would have been nice to have met the host to make it more personable. I know they are working at making it better, trailer gravel stalls to narrow, fire pits way to close to your neighbor. Highway traffic noise and we heard trains regularly. Indy the dog was the best! Also, I found the price for a site with no service was the same price as one with service "it was a last-minute decision" we weren't sure where to go. You are not allowed to bring your own firewood. If you have a kayak of your own, they still expect a fee. I might have been interested to pick and buy some of the grapes but again no one was there. Party with loud music on Saturday night and again no one on site. I know that it was off season, but I always like to meet the host even if they were there just a bit to meet us. Nice campsite but very loud at night with the highway and trains, so not ideal with young children. However portacabin and shower kept clean and tidy, and site otherwise a great place to spend a couple of nights

I was a little disappointed when I arrived as it wasn’t advertised very accurately. I think it’s expected for a campsite to have trees around the sites and it was just a field with picnic tables. I enjoyed the owners not disturbing us during our stay, but I wouldn’t stay here again just due to the lack of privacy. There was also no working bathroom, only a porta potty. Which was also not advertised I believe. The river view was nice, but I personally didn’t use it and tried to spend as little time at the campsite as possible. I was the only guest there in the tent sites area, and if there were other guests there I would be more upset about the lack of privacy. Not the worst, but for being the same price as the other campsites I stayed at (I roadtriped staying at campsites for only a single night) it was not worth it.

Perfect place for an overnight while travelling through for our needs. Friendly welcome, nice atmosphere. There is some road/ train noise but that is to be expected so close to the highway. We really enjoyed it for a quick and easy stopover on our way through from Sk. to Vancouver. Thanks!

We got there late. Was able to get instructions to get in and to the site (different than what we booked) we needed a place last minute. So all good. Traffic noise was heavy and also a lot of train noise. The washroom was a porta potty. But there was a cold water sink to wash up with soap. The redeeming quality was the swim in the river behind us in the morning. It was really nice.

Quiet, Enjoyable, Roomy Yurt

We booked the yurt (lot #5 I think) close to the river and my sister and I (both Queenagers) really enjoyed the experience! We had everything we could possibly have needed, from dishes - bring your own mugs & french press if you make coffee - to bedding. The king mattress (Kingsdown) was superb, the area was quiet (the trains lulled us to sleep and were not at all intrusive in noise levels) and Jared helped us when we needed a charger boost for devices. Our only note would be that access to the fast-running river nearby is almost like a ladder; not without risks for little ones or those of us hoping to kayak. That's okay - we went to nearby Flocky's Beach to put in. The nearby Dutchman's Dairy is not to be missed (more flavours of ice cream than you can count) although if you're coming from Kelowna, you'll drive past Hangin' Loose a few times before you know where to turn off the highway. Slow down if you can to turn left and find it. But again, the yurt experience (our first!) was exceptional. And way less in price than many other such offerings.

Glamping Fun

We stayed in a yurt which was spectacular hidden away in the woods. I wouldn’t recommend the regular tent sites as they’re out in the direct sun.

Host was responsive and friendly. Great views and nice to have a playground area for the kids. Sites were clean and well maintained. Loved that there was a shower and sink next to the Porta potty! The tent sites are very open so not a lot of privacy between. We felt the wood was a bit pricey for the amount you got, and had to request a fire pit. Overall a really nice stay and would come again! Thank you!!

We enjoyed our stay at Hangin Loose in Sicamous! Having a bathroom and outdoor shower to use while tenting was a bonus! The next day we decided to use the river instead of the public beach. We went for a paddle board upstream and floated our way back. The river was quiet and there was a little sand beach area that was easily accessible!

Riverfront RV Nestled in the Trees

This was the first time we’ve ever stayed here, there was 6 of us (2 adults, 2 teens, 2 older kids) we rented the puma trailer that sleeps ten. First this place is pretty reasonably clean priced considering the location and time of year. The camper was in the forest river front, although the river isn’t accessible by the camp sites there is easy, quick access very close by. The camper fit us perfectly, and had everything we needed for the 3 nights we were there. It’s the coolest spot I’ve ever camped before legit in the trees and is so peaceful and beautiful. You can’t park close to camper however there are carts to help lug your things and it’s really not far at all…. The owners were super cool, came and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. And when we needed anything they were just a short text away. We had a little issue on our last night with power (or own doing), and they came to fix it and we were back up and running. We did the river float, absolutely a must do when staying here. And if you don’t stay here a definitely do if you stay in the area…. We only did it to the half way mark (kids were over it). It took us 2 hours. And wellllll worth it. Next time we most definitely will be doing the whole float. We had our own floating devices however they have many different things you can rent from them all very reasonable priced. Again 100% worth it. All in all it was super fun and amazing. We will be returning next year! Thank yo

My children loved the new experience of staying in an RV and Mel and her husband were so super friendly and helpful even when we managed to flatten the battery of the RV, (apologises I still don’t know what we did wrong!). We went kayaking on the river there and they were really patient with my little one who struggled a bit. The RV has a shower, flushing.toilet, microwave and sleeps six. It was a little tatty around the edges, it could have done with a deep clean (it was a bit musty spelling) and an upgrade to the outside seating area but we still had a great time in this peaceful spot

Riverfront Yurt with Mountain Views

The Yurt was awesome. Highly recommend. BBQ and 2 burner camp stove provided. Recommend bringing a fan if it looks like it will be a hot stay. No fishing allowed on the campsite but you can go down to Mara Provincial Park ~15 min away for a nice day at the beach.

Beautiful spot and friendly hosts. Nice flat ground for tenting and neighbouring campers were all very nice. The outdoor sink was a welcome bonus for hand washing and brushing teeth. Was only there for a night, but would be a fun spot for playing in the river and taking advantage of their river float shuttles. Only downside was noise: right off the highway and neighbours were playing music loudly in the middle of the night (could just be random, not sure if this is a usual thing for them). Would definitely stay here again.

We spent one night here on our way back home. It was a great location- close to everything we needed and really easy to find. Our kids loved the playground and picking some blueberries. Would have preferred some trees for shade or maybe an umbrella for the table but the sun did go down at a decent time which provided the shade we needed (it was a super hot day) Would definitely camp here again. Also, Melanie and her husband were just the nicest people, which made the experience even better. Thanks for a great stay!

we are very dissatisfied with this pasture, because that is all it is. the places without electricity, without water in the middle of the sun and with an unhygienic plastic toilet cubicle that no one wants to sit in. When we spoke to the owner about it, he became very irritated and unfriendly. he suggested us to go somewhere else during the day and stay alone at night. we had booked 3 days but we left immediately. I can't recommend this to anyone.

The studio was niet and clean but it was really close to the highway. Swimming in the river wasn't possible because the water was running to fast.

Riverfront RV located in the forest

Photos are not as advertised. There are several spots nearby that are not flat parking lot style. I drove 8 hours to stay here for a week and quickly left. The host said she would refund the rest of my stay, but only returned 50%. Not happy. Would not recommend considering the volume of forested spots nearby. We ended up at sicamous resort and it was in fact cheaper, had a pool sauna and forested sites.

COMFORT camping at its best in a forest. We rented a trailer in the woods. The pictures do not do it justice so so much better. Right by the river (bring bug spray) which is incredible. We paddled down the river so peaceful and beautiful. We rented the boards from Melanie and they were great. Close to town but not walkable, it us an easy drive for coffee ice cream and fresh fruits and vegetables Highly recommend. The only downside is that my kids don't want to tent camp anymore haha
