It is a working farm so will likely have various equipment around at times as well as workers at certain times of the year. You’ll likely meet our very friendly and very energetic Bernedoodle, Bernie. If you prefer to keep him out of your campsite just let us know and we can keep him closer. The property is 2km off Highway 3, so you can count on no road noise and great views! There are many recreational opportunities available in the area. Crown land is a 5 minute drive away. Conkle Lake is approximately 50 min drive for some excellent lake fishing. The Kettle River Recreation Area is where locals go to cool down while floating the river. Mt Baldy ski area is 40 minute drive with summer activities like scenic hiking, disc golf, horseshoes, volleyball and scenic chairlift rides. There are plenty of wildlife that come through, whitetail deer, coyotes, black bear, elk and the odd mule deer. Our local snowshoe hair and ground squirrels may give guests a surprise while having coffee in the morning. Across the road is a local park containing a small lake and marsh land, frequently the Red-winged Black birds can be heard singing. With only 2 pads occupied at a time, guests can expect to have the property mostly to them selves. We do have a tiny home near by that our family uses recreationally. There is a communal fire pit where guests can gather and share their adventure stories from the day. Bring your camp chair, we have the firewood provided! If there is a fire ban, guests are welcome to use their own CSA approved propane fire pits. Some local summer events include, Rock Creek Farmers Market May-October every Tuesday and Friday at Gyro Park and Rock Creek Fall Fair is the second weekend in September. The property is a quick 20 minute drive from South Okanagan wine country! Guests will be required to provide their own toilet with septic connection and pack out their garbage, there is no garbage collection on our property. Our sites are self check-in. We are available throughout your stay via HipCamp messages for any questions or assistance. We do have on-site assistance available in the case of an emergency or utility failure. The property is 2km off Highway 3, so you can count on no road noise and great views! There are many recreational opportunities available in the area. Crown land is a 5 minute drive away. Conkle Lake is approximately 50 min drive for some excellent lake fishing. The Kettle River Recreation Area is where locals go to cool down while floating the river. Mt Baldy ski area is 40 minute drive with summer activities like scenic hiking, disc golf, horseshoes, volleyball and scenic chairlift rides. There are plenty of wildlife that come through, whitetail deer, coyotes, black bear, elk and the odd mule deer. Our local snowshoe hair and ground squirrels may give guests a surprise while having coffee in the morning. Across the road is a local park containing a small lake and marsh land, frequently the Red-winged Black birds can be heard singing. With only 2 pads occupied at a time, guests can expect to have the property mostly to them selves. We do have a tiny home near by that our family uses recreationally. There is a communal fire pit where guests can gather and share their adventure stories from the day. Bring your camp chair, we have the firewood provided! If there is a fire ban, guests are welcome to use their own CSA approved propane fire pits. Some local summer events include, Rock Creek Farmers Market May-October every Tuesday and Friday at Gyro Park and Rock Creek Fall Fair is the second weekend in September. The property is a quick 20 minute drive from South Okanagan wine country! Guests will be required to provide their own toilet with septic connection and pack out their garbage, there is no garbage collection on our property. Our sites are self check-in. We are available throughout your stay via HipCamp messages for any questions or assistance. We do have on-site assistance available in the case of an emergency or utility failure. The cabin was cute and cozy, with a warm indoor stove to keep the place warm. Lots of space with one mains bed and two small beds up top. We were there in October and we had the area to ourselves which was great, but it seemed the camping spot and Teepee were quite close to the cabin.

Site #1 had a great view of the vineyard.

Weekend Trip to A piece of the salmon valley

We were a group of 6 in 2 camper vans and a truck tent and the site by the gazebo was great. We enjoyed the views and got to wake up to horses grazing in the pasture. There was lots of space, it was flat, and there was a campfire ring right there. Good group camping spot. Ken was also so friendly and helpful. Such a great host. Charlie (the dog) came to visit as well, so we got to enjoy his company each day too. Would definitely stay here again!

Better than advertise. The Kevin was new and clean. The wood stove kept us very warm and toasty. The firepit was well stocked with cedar cut offs . Hot pool was extremely relaxing and had a great vibe. We added a canoe to our trip and fished Gardom Lake. Excellent experience, we'll be back !

Camp 1 handled our Class B. I rented both sites and our friends were introduced into Hipcamping using site 2. Their trailer a small to medium size fit easily there with a drive through setup. The two camps are closer together for RVs but further apart of tents campers. The camp property is a very short drive on a large dirt road. It is located at a 600 foot elevation above town, we decided not to ride the bikes to town due one rider uses a three wheel bike which needs more space. The condition was OK but could be checked for trash we try to pickup what was there. It was great having access to water being that this was our fourth stop on this trip. Great to be in the country with a sea of grapes and lake in you front view. We did see and hear turkeys and other wild life. The gate needed to be opened and closed it could use a tune-up.

Nice grassy place, level and clean. The camps are well spaced and is definitely the best we have been to. We have a class B so we just rotated to suit our needs and we were setup. The posting does show the camp well. If you go to town on a Sunday get there before 3pm.
