We recently bought this charmingly rustic old farm property and are in the exciting process of bringing it back to life. It has a lovely forest area, alongside sprawling fields that are dotted with beautiful wildflowers throughout Spring and Summer. Another delightful feature of our home is a swamp that displays a spectacular array of bird wildlife in the spring and early summer. A bird watcher’s dream! And, if you are lucky, you may even see deer, beaver, bear, coyote, Marmot, or Western Painted Turtle roaming the property, all have been seen on the farm at one time or another, so keep your eyes peeled! We are close to amenities but are far enough out of town to provide a quiet and restful retreat from the hum and drum of every day life. Summer in the Okanagan. Come and enjoy the scenery, fresh peaches, cherries, watermelons, veggies and other locally grown delights when in season. We have a 6 acre farm in the hills of Joe Rich. It’s a beautiful combination of open meadow & mature forest, with a seasonal creek & pond. The property is full of many varieties of native plants, flowers and trees. Above the trees you can see the peaks of Little White. You can enjoy hiking on the High Rim Trail nearby or maybe an off road adventure. James Lake is only 11 kms away for some summer kayaking or paddle boarding and Big White is only 1/2 hour away hosting all the winter fun!. Lots of beautiful areas to explore nearby. Our location tends to be 6°-10° cooler than in Kelowna, which is a welcome treat on those warm summer days. There is also, almost always a breeze. We planted lots of garlic 🧄 on the farm, more planting to come, corn, sunflowers, lavender , vegetables and cutting flowers we will plant this Spring and Summer.
