We had an amazing, relaxing weekend and loved the property. The farm is so peaceful, and the beach area is just incredible. Suzanne and Randy were just awesome hosts and made us feel right at home. Can’t wait to go back and visit.

Had an amazing time. The hosts were really kind and welcoming. Sight was a great size lots of room. Felt private even with the sight next to us. The river was the selling points. A sort walk and so nice to relax at was a great stay

Perfect RV spot and great hosts! We travel with 2 dogs and they were welcomed on the property. Suzanne and her husband were a great help when we needed directions to the ER for a broken arm and checked in everyday to see how I was doing. The walk through the property to the river was beautiful. We'd definately go back.

This place was such a relaxing and easy place to spend a few days. We waded in the river every day. Suzanne and Randy were lovely. We would go back!
There are 2 sites. The 2nd site is a little larger. Both have 30 Amp power and water that are on the passenger side and a little forward of a usual placement, but they provided a 30Amp extension and an extra hose, so that all worked fine. Each site also has a sewer connection in the normal campsite spot. They don't have trash cans available; you have to pack out your trash. But they will give you a container for recycling if you ask.
They have 3 dogs who are well-behaved and would come to check on us. There are also alpacas and horses.

We had a fantastic time! Easy to find and park our trailer while being private. We felt very comfortable and the dogs were friendly! East river access! We will be back!

We LOVED this place. We camp all over BC and Alberta from April-Oct. We are very seasoned campers. This is by far one of the best places we’ve ever stayed.
Quiet. Beautiful. Peaceful. Green. Grassy. Friendly hosts. Full hookups. Free firewood. ANIMALS! The dogs were such a great bonus. Logan and Jersey got along so well with our dogs. Their visits were the highlight for me. They even led us to the river on our daily walks.
Our only issue was the pesky mosquitos. But we will be back again when the river isn’t so high so we can hang out at the river and enjoy outside without bites.
Centrally located to tons of markets, eateries, shops and wineries!

Our first Hipcamp experience and it won't be our last. What a treat to be away from the mass camping of the Okanagan and to simply enjoy the quiet and solitude. Hosts, Sue and Randy, were wonderful and so accommodating. Randy supplied us with fresh pheasant eggs. Yum. The dogs were super friendly, the baby alpacas were adorable. The river was quite high so we couldn't enjoy the full experience of river and beach however we will definitely come back later in the year. Thank you Sue for the kayaking tips. I'll be in touch for future trips!

Dusty Acres was excellent. Suzanne was very friendly and the dogs were great. We already miss logan. The camp sites were perfect and the river was beautiful. Great place for a swim.

Suzanne’s farm was the perfect stop on our way from Whistler to Banff. She was so generous and hospitable and her farm was lovely. Our kids loved playing in the river and being with the animals. Revelstoke is a beautiful 1 hour drive away, so the location was great as well. Thank you again for a great stay!

We absolutely loved our stay on Suzanne’s land! Suzanne is an amazing host, with the most beautiful property. We spent so much time swimming and enjoying the riverfront. We would highly recommend these sites!

Had a super stay and enjoyed the location very much.
Suzanne is communicative and the atmosphere is very laid back.
Our location under the trees was nice, rustic as we expected and access to the river was close by-simple walk.
It was our first travel trailer experience in Canada and very memorable.

Absolutely fantastic location and atmosphere.
Very short walk to an unbelievable sandbar on the Shuswap (Can't believe we had all that Beach to ourselves) river just north of Grindrod B.C.
Our Hostess Suzanne was very friendly and accommodating supplying kayaks, paddles, lifejackets etc...
If you love Dogs, Hoses and Alpacas this will be especially enjoyable and if you would be worried about the Dogs being a nuisance; don't be they are so well behaved and friendly.

We had such a lovely weekend at Dusty Acres. Spent the days in the river floating and swimming. Great spot for both adults and kids and felt very private. Loved all the animals at Suzanne’s place as well. Will definitely be going back.

We had a wonderful time camping here. Suzanne was lovely to chat with and knowledgeable about her animals. There is a short walk to the river where we spent our afternoons floating and swimming. Suzanne has 3 dogs that freely roam the property and kept a close eye on us. They were friendly with our dog and enjoyed running with her in the river. Suzanne has done a great job of keeping the 2 sites she clean and the full hookups was an added bonus.

Dusty Acres has a really nice farm vibe. Dogs, cat, horses, birds, and alpacas. Susanne is very welcoming; we enjoyed the quietness of the rural area. Rode our bikes on the back roads, used our canoe and paddle board and soaked up the sun at the river. We will be back for another visit.

Nice and quiet place to stay next to the horse pasture! Host is very friendly and accommodating. Site 2 is more ideal for bigger units.

This spot was amazing! Suzanne and her husband were so accommodating and truly wonderful people. Jumping in the river during the hot summer day was the cherry on top of a beautiful stay! Definitely would recommend staying here 😊

Site 2 - Dusty Acres
Suzanne is very welcoming and makes you feel like visiting the family farm. Her 3 dogs welcome you the minute you enter and visit regularly including walking to the river and even swimming with us. On top of that 2 gorgeous horses follow you on the walk if they’re in the yard.
Having hookups was a welcomed relief as we arrived in heavy forest fire smoke so we were fortunate to be able to close windows and use the a/c.
Unfortunately, due to family being evacuated we had to leave early. In no uncertain terms was it against Suzanne’s accommodation she has. It’s peaceful, unique with well loved and cared for animals around and Suzanne’s love for them all is evident.
Suzanne is a wonderful host and I would highly recommend Shady Acres.

This site is a beautiful, quiet RV spot. I would highly recommend this spot to those who want a quiet spot within walking distance of the river. This small acreage hosts a few very friendly animals who make the stay wonderful.
