Beautiful spot with easy access to/from the highway and the lake. Everything needed to set up and enjoy camp quickly and the biggest perk is the onsite washhouse with flush toilet, a shower and laundry. All very clean and well maintained. Wesley was very welcoming when we arrived and responsive to any questions we sent via the hipcamp app. Easy, breezy.

This is such a cute place and well thought out. I am glad I found it.
The bathroom is so nice to have. Fenced in yard and if we had our dogs with us it would be perfect place to let them roam.

What a little piece of heaven! We needed a quick place to lay our heads on our travels from Tofino to Calgary. It was so refreshing to let the dogs roam around, a nice clean restroom, and the chickens in the morning were a hoot.

Excellent camp spot close to the lake! Farm setting is so relaxing and the dog loved the big fenced yard to roam and play fetch. Wes was a gracious host and even helped direct the RV into the site.

Wes and Maeghan's property is very beautiful, spaceish, and has everything you need for a comfortable camping trip - hot water shower, fire pit, laundry, etc. They were great hosts and communicators, and we felt very welcomed :). 10/10 would recommend.

Very happy with our stay at the Thirsty Farmer! We had it all to ourselves and the space was ample for our dog to enjoy. The hosts were welcoming and generous. Having use of a washroom with shower and laundry AND a bbq was such a total bonus! The kids loved the rope swings and the stargazing was great. Thank you Wesley and Maeghan! We highly recommend for a slightly unique experience.

Beautiful spot with a large space that is fenced in so our dogs could be off leash. It was all grass that was so great to be able to walk around on the grass. Great hosts and some cool animals on site like chickens, geese, ducks, and peacocks.

We loved this site! It was on a large property with lots of nice grass and the area was fully fenced so our dog could run around and play off leash. The private bathroom with shower and laundry was great - so nice to have those kind of amenities all to yourself when camping. Wes was super helpful when we arrived guiding us into the parking spot and Maeghan was so lovely to chat with near the end of our stay. They had firewood and a great fire pit as well! We’d definitely stay here again!

If you’re travelling with dogs it doesn’t get better than this property. Having the enclosure is a brilliant idea. Being able to open the door to the RV and let the dogs out without leashes is fantastic. If you’re not travelling with dogs, you’ll enjoy the beautiful, peaceful property. The hosts have done an amazing job. Looking forward to a return trip.

Location very nice with a clean bathroom facility, laundry if needed (we didn't), and the site was easily accessable with our 36' coach. The driveway is a little steep coming off the road so if you're prone to dragging be warned. We did drag or hitch but it wasn't bad and very short lived. Definitely will beat repeat customer if we're in the area again!

Wesley en Maeghan wonen in een heel mooie buurt rond het Shuswapmeer. De RV’s konden in een mooie groene staanplaats staan waar ook een soort tuinhuisje staat met douche, toilet en wasmachine. Alles was heel netjes in orde! We werden vriendelijk onthaald door Wesley en zijn dieren en hebben genoten van ons verblijf hier.

We had a great time at Wesley and Maeghan’s property. What a treat to have a fully fenced spot. Beautiful big weeping willow tree for shade. Great new washroom with shower .Very relaxing, and entertaining. They have chickens , peacocks, ducks, geese , turkeys plus more. We will definitely be back , highly recommend

Hidden gem of a private campground. Hosts Wesley and Maeghan( phtatmwrs lol!) are wonderful. Fully fenced 1/2 acre of land with wash house, double lot, hookups, fireplace area and a beautiful Weeping Willow that provided shade for people and dogs. Absolutely stunning!!! This is a farm so Roosters, chickens, turkeys, guinea fowl, dogs and peacocks to.

This was an amazing spot for our dogs to run around while allowing us to relax and not worry where they ran off to. The beautiful willow tree provided a spot to relax in the shade during the heat of the day after a trip to one of the nearby beaches. Later on you can watch the sun set over the lake then recline and stargaze.
Having the bathroom, shower, and laundry was perfect. It is pretty much the perfect set-up!

After having to change our itinerary due to the Wildfires in Jasper. We were lucky to find this little gem. We easily fitted two 35ft travel trailer.
Kids had a blast swinging from the trees and with the animals. Adult enjoyed the quiet and the washer/dryer.

This is a beautiful, private camping spot. There is space for 2 RV's, but the owner will not book the second spot if you book as a single. The sight is fenced so our dog could roam freely. The bathroom and shower are clean and new, and a washer/dryer is available. We were there during a heat wave with a fire ban, so didn't use the large fire pit. A big highlight was the huge weeping willow tree that provided shade and some respite from the extreme heat. We have family in the area and will definitely book it again.

We loved tent camping with our kids for two nights at Wesley’s site. The tent set up under a large tree was perfect, even on a hot sunny day. Our dog enjoyed the fully fenced area as much as he could. The privat washroom with showers and laundry were very convenient and clean. A special extra is the option for egg delivery in the morning from Wesley’s farm. We enjoyed to explore the nearby lake, the hikes and the sound of farm animals close by. Thanks a lot to the supportive and friendly host!

We were last minute campers at the Thirsty Farmer and it was perfect, exactly what we needed. We tented under a willow tree with a small view of the lake. The shower and flush toilet were great too. The absolute best part was letting our dogs run leash free in the fully fenced space! My boys also had fun seeing all the birds, especially the peacock! There are roosters and they definitely do their job but it didn’t bother us at all, we will definitely keep it on our list for when we drive back and forth to the coast on future trips!

My wife and I were the first paying guests at The Thirsty Farmer. It’s also the first time we’ve used Hipcamp.
I can’t say enough good things about this place. Wes was a great host and the facilities were top notch. Set on a farm in Blind Bay there were chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys and peacocks.
The site itself is a fenced area about 1/2 acre where we let our two dogs run freely. No leashes required. There are hookups for the RV but you don’t really need to use them because there is a full washroom/shower/laundry.
Also a giant fire pit and you can buy fresh eggs.
We will definitely be staying here again!
