Prossers Ridge Richmond is 52 acres of rural paradise within close proximity to the heritage town of Richmond. The topography slopes up from the road to a large flat top and is dotted with weathered gum trees. There are sweeping views in all directions, including a view of the sunrise to the east and spectacular sunset views toward Hobart's Kunanyi (Mount Wellington).
The property has good access for all vehicles and there are plenty of flat sites for camping at the top of the property. Some minor leveling may be required in parts for RVs and Caravans. Plenty of space though to find your own peaceful, private patch. And you're welcome to bring your dog along too!
Please note: some front wheel drive motorhomes have encountered difficulty getting up the driveway. If you have rented a Fiat Motorhome you wont be able to get to the campground
We have one toilet available for shared use, self contained campers are encouraged to use their own facilities where possible.
Situated within the Coal Valley Wine Region and just 30 minutes from Hobart, the property is the perfect location for travelers looking to sample glorious local food and wine, before returning to their picturesque base camp to recharge.

Welcome to The Bush Circus. This is where I love to play and I welcome you here. All the deets you may need are listed here so read careful. Of course you can contact me if you can't work something out.
You arrive here at the bottom corner of the property on Slab Rd where there is a place to park cars around several large gum trees. There is a very short walk through bush on manicured trails to one of three dedicated camp sites all of which is sign posted. There is also one RV spot at the car park. Toilet is located within a short walk from each campsite.
All sights are reasonably flat and they all have a campfire. Please feel free to pick up twigs and breakable sticks to create a fire. If you want firewood it is $1 per piece and you can put this into the tin at where the firewood is collected.
RV Spot- This is marked out as a section on the car park area. There may be some other cars near you but these are for the campers.
Holy Tree Camp- The first sign takes you to this camp. You will see the tree with the burnt out base. Suitable for a small to medium tent.
Tall Tree Camp- Second sign leads to here. It is adjacent to the tallest tree on the property. Small to medium tent.
Octopus Tree Camp- Look up. You will see how it gets its name. Small to medium tent.
This is a small property and if you get lost just follow the tracks you will find the camp you have booked.
There are two toilets. Toilet one is for number 2's and toilet 2 is for number 1's. Just to make it confusing. All signposted but message me if you can't work it out.
The circus area is not available for campers. Please contact me if this area interests you.

Beautiful 8 acre property situated on the edge of the Craigbourne Dam, 2 minutes from the township of Colebrook and 50 minutes from the Hobart CBD. Our property offers are great getaway experience for any traveller.
The Craigbourne Dam is a all year round recreational fishing ground and stocks many species of fish i.e. Atlantic Salmon, Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout to name a few.
Our property is a pet friendly park but we do ask all patrons to be considerate of the surrounding farmland and live stock .
As we are a fully self contained campground we do not provide power, toilets or showers. You'll need to have your own amenities and discard of any rubbish .
Limit phone coverage but still enough to call/text
Contained campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood for sale for a small fee (see Extras).
IMPORTANT : Any guest that wish to fish the Craigbourne Dam will be asked to purchase a angling license for the duration of their stay .

Conveniently located between Launceston and Devonport, Buckbill Banks Camping offers a beautiful, level camping area overlooking Quamby Brook Creek.
The 35-acre property offers views of Quamby Bluff, and various options to explore and relax. Find yourself a nice quiet spot, where you can enjoy peace and quiet. Although we take several bookings at once, you are guaranteed a secluded nook, there is plenty of space.
Choose a wood fired hot tub site beside the creek or choose general creekside camping beside the creek. Imagine star gazing from the hot tub of an evening, whilst keeping your eyes peeled for the resident platypus in their natural habitat! Firewood is provided for the hot tub, you may buy wood on site for your individual campfires. The hot Tub is not for wild parties, but to relax and view the native wild life, quietly watch the platypus in their natural environment.
Please note, we accept one camper trailer/caravan per booking. If you are traveling in a group with multiple caravans, you will need to book multiple sites - but will still be able to camp close together although we dont allow big noisy, disruptive groups anymore! Camp and fish just a stonesthrow from one of Tasmania's most stunning natural landscapes, Cradle Mountain. Here you'll find nature at its best, just 10 minutes drive from the Cradle Mountain Visitors centre, the perfect base for discovering this magical area.
Our campsites are on scenic, levelled areas overlooking the large dam and bushland, with grassed areas ideal for tents and camper-vans, and a portaloo a short walk away. The block is a natural timber and grassland block, with devils, quolls and wombats also residing here. We have one powered site available, and multiple unpowered sites.
There is a lovely walking track around the dams periphery. Feed fish from the edge, spot platypus frolicking about, and keep your eye out for Peacocks wandering the property too. Whilst you are welcome to bring your dog with you, please ensure they don't harass the wildlife.

Our site (we have 1 site only) is positioned on a section of our 3 acre block that is totally private from our residence. We are located an easy 20 minute drive from Hobart airport. The site is not just in a paddock but is surrounded by beautiful native trees and garden - there is a small enclosed camp shelter with 15amp power for caravans and campervans. There is also a bench, sink, hot water, wood heater and a bar fridge. There is also an outdoor shower to rinse off after a swim.
The beach is a 5 minute walk away. We have a deck positioned to pull up to next to the shed. Clifton Beach is a beachside community located on the south arm peninsula 25 minutes from Hobart city and is the closest surf beach to Hobart.
The south arm peninsula itself has many great walks and beautiful beaches. It is a great spot to base yourself to explore Hobart and local attractions. e.g Port Arthur 90 minutes.
Campers must be self contained with a toilet.
Our Hipcamp site has full council approval.

The cabin itself has a cosy wood stove heater, and is furnished with a double bed with pillows and a queen-sized doona. There is an undercover outdoor small kitchen with a 2 burner gas stovetop, basic kitchenware (with hand-held coffee grinder and aeropress), sink, solar lighting and rechargeable camping lanterns.
The toilet is a private eco-throne with a view to Bare Rock. It is composting and only a short walk from the cabin.
We provide you with wood for the indoor wood stove, an esky, bed linen, towels, tea-towels, basic kitchenware, cooking basics and toilet paper.
The kitchen sink and bath water comes from a spring fed dam, perfect for washing your dishes and bathing in. Please bring your own fresh drinking water.
Please note this is rustic accommodation, the cabin doesn’t have 240v, only a solar powered charging port with USB-A/C inputs to recharge the camping lanterns and your devices. You may wish to bring head torches for night time reading and card games!
There is no wifi available but there is strong mobile phone service.
Fingal is fondly known by the locals as "the Valley", and hosts several coffee and food vans for travellers passing through. Fingal is located just 15 mins to local township St Marys, where you'll find IGA Supermarkets and the popular pub/restaurant St Marys Hotel. Also the gold-prospecting rivers of Mathinna and Mangana are both short drives away.

We loved our stay at Nigel's land on Bruny Island. Views of the bay were magical. Very peaceful and quiet. Could have a fire when weather allowed you. Plenty of room for a any size van. Easy access into property and Nigel was very welcoming.

What an incredible weekend. This place is genuinely special, a rustic timber cabin perched on a hilltop with sweeping valley views that would never get old.
I took my 4-month-old Poochon VoVo on his very first glamping adventure, and he took to it immediately, exploring the bush tracks, soaking up the sun on the stone patio, and generally living his best life. It’s a wonderful spot for dogs who love the outdoors.
The highlight for me was the outdoor wood fire bathtub, an absolute dream under the stars.
It’s rustic, it’s remote, and it’s exactly what you need when you want to properly disconnect. Already planning the next trip back.

This serene camp site was the perfect way to start my trip to Tasmania. I wish I could have stayed longer, but my schedule did not allow. They had the best set up for my self contained camper van, with a plug in so I never had to worry. I had cell reception the entire time. This made for easy on the fly planning and mapping. The fridge inside the hut was great to spread some of my food out and only bring what was necessary for the day trips. The outdoor table was an incredible spot for enjoying a meal without having to reconvert my bed. The hosts were very kind and welcoming, which means a lot as a solo female traveler. I loved the safe neighborhood and taking morning swims at Clifton Beach. The walk to the beach was very easy and the sunrises and sunsets were absolutely stunning. The bird songs in the morning were some of my favorite ways to wake up. I enjoyed the market near South Arm and some great hikes. Mt. Wellington was very easy to get to from here. Hobart city is near by and you can take the ferry in from Bellerive to go to the Salamanca market, with easy parking for the camper just down the road from the pier, both advice given by the lovely hosts. The local recommendations were spot on and I am very grateful for them. I look forward to returning to this paradise.

Ladybug is a fabulous camping spot. Quiet & secluded camp sites immersed in nature with great little waterfalls & creek. The hosts, Peter & Kim were the best. Answering questions pre arrival & introducing themselves. Highly recommend Ladybug if you want your own space & being surrounded by native bush.

A very convenient place to stay with a dog around the Port Arthur area. It was easy enough to manoeuvre my large motor home around whilst there was 2 other sites filled.
Recommend for a night or two to explore the area. Toilet was clean and convenient.

Weekend Trip to Valley's Nest
My partner and I spent a blissful night here. This is an incredibly special spot and we feel rejuvenated after cooking dinner outside in the fresh air and soaking in the glorious tub.

Exactly what we needed after travelling Tassie for five months. We were lucky enough to have the entire area to ourselves and enjoyed the quiet and hot tub. Thanks Bert for making us feel welcome and ensuring our stay was as best it can be. Cubby House corner seems to have the most privacy but there is definitely limited solar opportunity. We had two nights to enjoy the bath and the set up to create the hot water was easy to follow. We shall be back. Thanks heaps

We had to return to this campground before leaving Tasmania to enjoy the peace and serenity it has to offer. Such a private site to unwind and just breathe. Had fires every night and star gazing was beautiful. Peter let us top up our water tanks when we arrived. Waterfalls on the property, platypus in the creeks can’t get better than that. Can’t recommend this place enough do yourself a favour and stay here you won’t be disappointed. The best campsite we have stayed at in the bush ever!!!

Such a special, peaceful place. Scott was so friendly and welcoming, the toilets were clean and there was such special touches around the area. We saw a platypus swimming around the lake - something I will never forget.

Launceston and North
Launceston is the gateway to northern Tasmania, where you can hop between colonial towns, sample Tassie wines in the Tamar Valley, or catch coastal views and diverse wildlife at the Narawntapu and Mt. William national parks.
North West
The glacial lakes and wildflower-carpeted moorlands of Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park are northern highlights, watched over by the much-photographed Cradle Mountain. Ambitious hikers can tackle the popular 65-kilometre Overland Track. On the north coast, boats from Melbourne arrive in Devonport, from where you can set out along the coast or follow the Cradle to Coast Tasting Trail.
