We are a family-owned vineyard tucked into the tiny town of Rowella, with 5.5 hectares under vine. We're offering a tranquil spot amongst the vines for self-contained campers, where you can sit back, enjoy a sunset, and soak up the serenity and views. We are Julieanne and Ashli, a hard-working mother/daughter duo growing 8 varieties of grapes to produce excellent cool-climate wines. During your stay, you are welcome to enjoy a complimentary wine tasting in our century-old cottage. You can also purchase a bottle or two to savor on your trip. The property is conveniently located just 40 minutes North of Launceston, and within close proximity (less than 10 minutes walk) to three excellent Tamar Valley cellar doors, the Lavender House Perfumery, and Rowella Cherry Farm. Just 20 minutes away is the Platypus House, Seahorse World, Beaconsfield (Beaconsfield Mine and Heritage Center), and Beauty Point, and we're 30 minutes from Narawntapu National Park entrance and beautiful Green's Beach. Across the river, you can take in a little history at George Town and Low Head.We offer three lovely areas amongst the vines for you to tuck into with your camper trailer or caravan and enjoy a peaceful few days of rest and/or exploration - with glorious views and surrounds. All campers MUST BE self-contained as we don't provide toilets or power. We do not allow tents (shower and toilet tents included). Pets are welcome but please keep them under control and on a lead at all times. This is a safe basecamp to explore the area, plus you have the added bonus of a cellar door with beautiful local wines literally at your caravan door!

Camping in vines.
We love this property, theres only limited spots so its super quiet, the views are amazing staying right on the vines. The wine is also at a high standard so being able to do a tasting a walk to camp is cool. Highly recommend staying here and using it as a base to try other wineries in the area. This is our second time at the property and couldn't recommend it enough.

Camping with the doggos
We loved the camping experience at Iron Pot. Beautiful looking over the vines, lots of space to set up camp. The property is dog friendly which we need. The owners were very friendly & helpful. The tasting experience was great. We purchased a beautiful desert wine. Chatting to staff we felt so welcome & comfortable & they were great with our boys(dogs). We will be back to the area. Thank you.

We arrived at our campsite and fell in love with the view and serenity. Julieanne and Ashli were great hosts. We walked to a couple of nearby wineries and the lavender farm and of course spent some time at the Iron Pot Winery sampling and purchasing some wine to take home. We will definitely be back again (need to get some of the Riesling that we missed out on).
