Centrally located between Nimbin and Murwillumbah in the small town of Kunghur NSW, is the Misty Mountain Campground where you’ll see the morning mist roll in, then clear to reveal spectacular days.
The peace and tranquillity and spectacular scenery make this the ideal place to relax and unwind or the perfect spot to base yourself while you explore everything the Tweed Shire and the Northern Rivers Region has to offer.
On arrival you get to choose your own unpowered spot. You then set up camp. The caretaker will check you in at the spot you have chosen towards the end of the day.
Misty Mountain Campgrounds is suitable for tent campers, caravans, camper trailers and motorhomes..
PLEASE NOTE - Children aged between 3 and 15 are booked under Child Rates, Children 2 and under are Free and do not have to be booked in.

Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses and goats. We have goat food for purchase on site. 🐐
The Stonesthrow Bush Camping lower sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Most of these sites are suitable for 2WDs and some sites are accessible to caravans.
The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by 4WD and require you to BYO sealed, chemical camping TOILET and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites however NO caravans.
🐾 Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers.
Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent.
👣 Exploration of the property is by FOOT or bicycle only. 🚲 Vehicles are NOT permitted to drive around the property except when travelling to and from designated campsite.

We are a 10 minute drive from Rosewood and Laidley where you will find cafes, supermarkets, fuel and a variety of other things to enjoy.
Our lovely campground will accommodate swags, tents, campers, caravans and motorhomes. Our campground is 2 wheel drive accessible and we have firewood & ice for sale. We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided.
We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions (pls note we have a 9pm noise down curfew. We are not asking you to stop enjoying yourself, just have respect for other campers). Please contact us prior to your event to discuss availability.
Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property.
Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own fully enclosed off the ground fire bin. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed.
Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water.
During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out.
Things to do and see:
The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals, take aways available and friendly country hospitality.
Spicers Hidden Vale is approximately 6km away and perfect for bike riders. It also has a coffee shop, restaurant and walking tracks.
Grandchester scale model rail rides run once a month.
All sites are unpowered. Generators are welcome between 7am and 9pm.

The property is just 5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Stock up on supplies at the village General Store.

How to get to us? We have two ways in .
Option 1:
Via Flagstone onto Bushman Drive – then into Wyatt road follow to the end and turn right onto undullah road follow for 5 ks .
we approximately 14 km from the Flagstone Shopping Centre.
Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended.
Option 2:
From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road.
This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. We do have 2 wheel drives make the journey !

Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available.
Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away.
Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. We can still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way, ignore Google maps if it directs you to Lynches Creek Rd.

BOATS
Boat launch locations are available for campers at designated areas within the campsite and to comply with our SEQ Water licence:
* No parking within 20 metres of the water.
* Vehicles must stay on the designated road and cannot drive down to the boat ramp.
* After launching, vehicles and trailers must be parked back up the hill within the Pointro boundary.
* Marquees and similar structures must be at least 6 metres from the water’s edge.
* Boats may be moored during the day but must be removed overnight.
Breaches may result in fines from SEQ Water, which will be passed on to the responsible party.

Christmas Creek Bush Retreat enjoys absolute creek frontage on the banks of the crystal clear everflowing Christmas Creek. Perfect for kayaking, floating on an inflatable lounge or swimming in the warmer months or to simply watch and listen to the rapids. The property boasts 160 acres with camp sites situated on a large flat well maintained grassy paddock, all sites look out to the creek and mountains beyond.
Easy access for 2WD and 4WD vehicles with plenty of room to turn around.
Campers MUST be fully self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities. Porta-loos are available to hire; however, they do work out quite expensive, unless you are in a group and share the cost. Toilet hire is $200 for your stay. Please message to book a porta loo.
Please place all waste in bin provided. Please ensure all waste is bagged. No large items such as gazebos or mattresses to be placed in the bin provided.

Situated a 1/2 hour drive South of Beaudesert, following the signs to Rathdowney and turning onto Christmas Creek Road that veers to the left. 26kms along the very picturesque Christmas Creek Road and you arrive at a little bit of paradise in the Scenic Rim. So much to see and do in the area, a short drive to the Lost World Tourist Drive and Tommerups Dairy to name a few. Further along Christmas Creek Road takes you past the Christmas Creek Cafe and onto Lamington National Park and bushwalks to the Stinson Memorial Crash Site and Larapinta Falls. So much to enjoy in the Scenic Rim.

Andrew Drynan Park is situated on Running Creek, 47 km south of Beaudesert and 19 km from Rathdowney on the Lions Road. The drive from Brisbane will take a couple of hours. It has an impressive backdrop formed by Mt Chinghee.

Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp.
Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers—a dip in the creek will keep you clean but please don’t use soap or detergent.
Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east.
Campers Day Trippers Rules:
The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple
guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park.
By using this park you agree to the following rules.
All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed
limit.
Fires must be extinguished prior to departure.
Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all
rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so
the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish.
Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of
2pm to 6pm.
Dogs must be on short leads and confined to your campsite at all
times.
No music or noise after 10pm, noise level must at all times be at an acceptable level so as not to disturb other users.
No stock whips, firearms or weapons of any sort, chainsaws, drones
or fireworks allowed in the park.
No use of detergents, soaps or shampoos in creek.
No washing dishes or clothing in creek.
No hitting of Golf balls.
No cricket with cricket ball (tennis ball ok).
No swings to be tied to trees.
Anyone who is non-compliant may be directed by park management to leave the park and if so must leave without delay. Non-compliance
will be referred to local Police and you may face legal action for
trespassing.
Park management reserves the right to refuse anyone entry to and use
of the park.

This is a 226-acre lucerne and cattle farm 7ks from Warwick. It is situated on the Condamine River and Swan Creek.
A disabled toilet is available for use
Portaloos can be hired for private use.
Rubbish bins and cash-for-cans bins also provided. Have a skip bin available for all your rubbish
Camp sites are located on the Condamine River and Swan Creek and adjacent paddocks. Kayaking, swimming, yabbies and fishing available.
We also have a motorhome or caravan waste DUMP POINT available for campers free of charge
Order your delicious free-range egg, breakfast special, honey, ice, dog bones Lamb chops sausages rissoles rump steak t Bone steak beef steakettes and meat trays in advance.
Also have a breakfast special which is 1/2 KG shop smoked bacon and 1 doz 700 gm free range eggs.
Also have firewood for sale. Available in bags , 6x4 trailer and 8x6 trailer loads
Unprocessed honey also available.
Campfires permitted if restrictions aren't in place.
Well-behaved dogs are permitted off leash during the day. Dogs must be restrained overnight, and all droppings must be picked up and disposed of appropriately.
Please reduce music, loud conversations and other noise from 10 pm, and cease all noise by 11 pm for the enjoyment of other guests.
Horses can be patted Come and see me for carrots and hay
Children are free.
Kayaks are free.
There is also 2 powered sites approximately 800m back from the river, next to a deep dam and other farm buildings.
There is also 2 showers and 3 septic toilets available up near the powered sites about 900 m from the river.
There are also 15 port a loos available for a $140 fee for your total camp hire
We now have 2 ensuites available. They include a portaloo, gas hot water shower & pod of water. You can have taken to your camp. Its $250 for 1 - 7 days.
Please ensure you check our arrival directions before you come. Our place is easy to find, but we are farmers and always out working, so we probably won't be at the house when you arrive.
Just come to the white house at 11 Roona Rd, Junabee, between 8am & 5pm and wait there until we come and take you to your site. Ring myself 0402 071 374 or Kerrie 0402 165 020 if we are not around

Immerse yourself in our thriving local ecosystem. The property is a haven for native wildlife; keep a quiet eye out for our resident platypus in the creek, or spot kangaroos, wallabies, turtles, and native birdlife throughout the day. As the sun sets, the bush comes alive with the sounds of owls, possums, bandicoots and the crackle of a campfire (permitted in designated firepits, subject to local restrictions).
Creek-Side Relaxation
Cool off in our dedicated swimming hole—a beautiful, natural spot perfect for a refreshing dip. To protect our delicate aquatic environment and our resident platypus, please note that fishing is not permitted on the property.
Facilities & Access
We aim to provide a secluded and comfortable yet authentic "off-grid" feel:
Amenities: Every campsite is equipped with its own dedicated toilet for your convenience. Please remember to bring your own toilet paper.
Navigation: We are well-signed and easily found on Google Maps. We recommend loading your maps while you still have mobile service to ensure a smooth arrival.
Vehicle Access: The property is 2WD accessible in dry weather; however, we recommend 4WD during wet conditions - mainly for Stony Camp access. Feel free to contact us for a track update before you head off.

Absolutely loved my stay here! Such a peaceful and beautiful place. The hot showers were amazing, and having the animals so close made the experience even more special. Had an incredible weekend at One Tree Hill camping at the Moreton Bay Ashgrove site! Most of our group were first time campers, and this was the perfect place to start. The site was super private, serene, and had clean toilets. Friendly hosts (and animals!🦃🐓🐄🐴🐐🐈⬛), plus firewood delivered straight to our fire pit. Just make sure you do not leave your food out, the curious cows will definitely come over to have a stickybeak! It is amazing to find such a peaceful getaway just an hour drive from Brisbane. Highly recommend!

Thanks for letting us stay Guy. What a magical spot you have. Large campsite suitable for more than just our little van (2 fireplaces to choose from) so we were grateful for the privacy. All the spots look excellent and we loved saying Hi to the animals as well. Thanks to your very excellent induction Manager for giving us directions on arrival. Great spot, great host and we'll be back with our family for another visit - especially at this time of year.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Dead Tree Alley and have fallen in love. The effort and care that is put into the property and experience is palpable. Guy was more than happy to answer any questions we had about the animals/property/garden etc.
Dead Tree Alley felt removed and isolated but was just a short walk to the main area/animals. We enjoyed hiking around the property and I especially loved how friendly the cattle were. We were visited by the same group each night. One even lay down near the campfire and was very happy to receive some scratches.
Will definitely be back.

We stayed at Curtain Fig Drive for 4 nights . We loved our stay and were right in the action with the animals roaming around all day. Perfect spot with the little ones, close to the amenities and the animals. They absolutely loved it. Guy was a great host and big shout out to daughter Izzy for being fabulous with our kids taking them on little adventures around the farm.
Our border Collie loved the trail walks ( and a chicken if she’d have caught one)
We’ll be back soon to try out one of the other spots which are abit more secluded ☺️

The view from the campsite is amazing. Would definitely recommend booking for a quiet weekend, I feel it would be very full on during a long weekend on the summer periods. Would highly recommend for those that are keen to get away for a quiet weekend

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Bares Hideaway. Friendly and accommodating hosts. Directions easy to follow. Well maintained sites and amenities, flushing toilets and hot showers scattered throughout the camp ground. Wood delivered every afternoon if needed. Loved the daily visits from the goats and sheep, not intrusive, they had a graze and then moved on. Will definitely be back!

Lovely relaxing spot, many camping site options with fantastic mountain views and Undullah Creek meandering through the property. Owners Brian and Tania were very welcoming and have established a real outback vibe to the multiple amenities blocks and shared kitchen and entertainment area. All very tidy and clean. So close to Brisbane but feels way out west! We'll be back!

The perfect mix of it all. Sunset Ridge was some of the best views, big secluded area, felt like we were hours and hours away but just at the bottom of the hill was Guy & his wonderful family and every farm animal you could think of. Only just out of Beaudesert to grab anything you've forgotten or even a counter meal if you choose but then a few minutes back to the camp site feeling like you are away from the world again. I paid for the firewood and portaloo which was the best idea I had. Saved room on the firewood and the portaloo was perfect for a toddler & grandma with me. There is a shower and toilet down at the base / house but a little far to pop to the toilet. Also had the animal encounter which is extra to the free feeding in the morning that anyone can join. My daughter got to ride a pony, hold baby chickens and bottle fed calves. It was one of the best weekends camping without the troubles of hours of driving and having to think/do everything myself. From all my videos and photos, my messages are going crazy to ask where we stayed because everyone LOVED the views and activities
