The peace and tranquillity and spectacular scenery make this the ideal place to relax and unwind or the perfect spot to base yourself while you explore everything the Tweed Shire and the Northern Rivers Region has to offer. On arrival you get to choose your own unpowered spot. You then set up camp. The caretaker will check you in at the spot you have chosen towards the end of the day. Misty Mountain Campgrounds is suitable for tent campers, caravans, camper trailers and motorhomes.. PLEASE NOTE - Children aged between 3 and 15 are booked under Child Rates, Children 2 and under are Free and do not have to be booked in. Misty River Campground is also available for General Camping during Easter and the Xmas break and Public Holiday Weekends.

If you are not up for Mt Maroon climb which could take up to 3 hours each way, there are always walks around the area that are less challenging. We are family friendly with easy terrain to set up for first time campers. Wake up to beautiful views and serenity. Sorry, no dogs are allowed as we have koalas and we are surrounded by National Parks Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Check on the day, it is usually fine to cook with contained cookers during a fire ban. BYO gas BBQ. There are plenty of activities to try around town, from bushwalking, exploring the Rail Trail in Murwillumbah and downhill mountain biking at the Uki Mountain Bike Park (Less then 8Km from our property). The property is just 5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Stock up on supplies at the village General Store. Pet welcome on leash and under control. Campfires are permitted within local regulations. We do have a bathtub’s on four sites. Campers should leave no trace. We are a short drive from the beautiful Hell’s hole, Unicorn falls and Mavis Kitchens. Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended. Option 2: From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road. This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available. Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away. Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. It has; - 2WD accessibility, cars, vans, tents all ok. - RVs and camper suitable (no power, water, or disposal systems) - all campsites flat and well-grassed. - communal camp kitchen with pizza oven, water, and gas cookers available - compost toilets (no showers) The pristine waters of Cave Creek flow through the site after falling through the infamous Natural Bridge. Bordering Springbrook National Park there are plenty of hikes and walks nearby to satisfy exploratory vibes. Otherwise, you can just sit back and enjoy the beauty, peace and quiet of this little slice of paradise. We can also offer many optional extras for private group bookings (large tents/marquees, generators, wood-fired hot tub, sauna, guided farm tour, paddock-to-plate produce etc). The income generated from Hipcamp is used to continue to manage, maintain and regenerate the site.

One of the best camps we have been to so far, almost all the animals you can think of kept our kids entertained all day long. They are all so friendly and we don't want to leave. Beautiful quiet and secluded campsites. We loved exploring the fresh spring fed creek and bush walks. Guy and Isabelle were so welcoming and helpful, happy to answer and questions we had. Can't wait to come back!

As a family of four with two young kids and our dog, this was exactly the kind of escape we didn’t realise we needed. 🤍 From the moment we arrived at MYSTIC ADVENTURES, everything felt calm, peaceful, and genuinely welcoming. The privacy, the quiet outdoors, and the warmth of the space made it so easy to slow down and just be present together as a family. The cabin was beautifully set up with everything thoughtfully prepared — from the extra kitchen essentials, tea, coffee and condiments, to the fresh bread which honestly made the stay feel even more special. It’s those little touches that make you feel cared for, not just accommodated. Our kids absolutely loved the garden and outdoor space, and for us it felt like glamping in comfort and style — all the beauty of nature without the stress of having to bring everything yourself. Even our dog settled in so happily. This place gave us quality time, quiet moments, and memories we’ll genuinely hold onto. We left feeling rested, reconnected, and already talking about when we can come back. Thank you for creating such a beautiful space for families to experience. Camp 3 was a beautiful spot for my family of 6. The compost toilet and gas hot shower were so handy we didn’t need to visit the central amenities. Nice property to explore and the Misty cafe was great. Amazing coffee and yummy hot chips! Jules was very welcoming and full of great knowledge!

We had a great time at Misty mountain camping ground. It was low season, so we had the camp 1 just for our group. The amenities were clean, with flush toilets and good hot water pressure in the showers. We went for walks and kayaking. It was great. I will definitely come back!

Great place to camp. The sites are very remote so you are not close to any other sites. There are beautiful views. Definitely do need a 4WD to access sites as there is a steep dirt road that is bumpy. The firewood cost $20 a bag. This is good quality fire wood and you get a decent amount.

This property is so amazing! We stayed at the Juburra Central camp and the views were incredible. It was so peaceful and relaxing staying here and was definitely what you need to get rid of the head noise of life and just enjoy what’s in front of you. The campsites are really nice and spaced out so you don’t feel like you’re intruding on anyone which was a big part for us. We will most definitely be back here again. The stars at night were so bright and you could barely hear any road noise. 10000% recommend and we’ve already bragged to all our friends and family about this place.
