The peace and tranquillity and spectacular scenery make this the ideal place to relax and unwind or the perfect spot to base yourself while you explore everything the Tweed Shire and the Northern Rivers Region has to offer.
On arrival you get to choose your own unpowered spot. You then set up camp. The caretaker will check you in at the spot you have chosen towards the end of the day.
Misty Mountain Campgrounds is suitable for tent campers, caravans, camper trailers and motorhomes..

There are plenty of activities to try around town, from bushwalking, exploring the Rail Trail in Murwillumbah and downhill mountain biking at the Uki Mountain Bike Park (Less then 8Km from our property).
The property is just 5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Stock up on supplies at the village General Store.
Pet welcome on leash and under control. Campfires are permitted within local regulations.
We do have a bathtub’s on 3 sites that can be heated with fire.

How to get to us? We have two ways in .
Option 1:
Via Flagstone onto Bushman Drive – then into Wyatt road follow to the end and turn right onto undullah road follow for 5 ks .
we approximately 14 km from the Flagstone Shopping Centre.
Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended.
Option 2:
From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road.
This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. We do have 2 wheel drives make the journey !

* MIDCAMP.. 7 level sites approximatly 200 meters up from the Comdamine River, and overlooking (and access to) the rivercamp, surrounded by mature "Iron Bark" trees and grassland, Plus several more dispersed sites, suitable for all types of camping from Vans to Tents.
This area also includes a small number of powered sites
* TOP CAMP.. This open area is approximately another 150 metres up the hill from from midcamp, overlooking both Mid & Rivercamps, with 360deg views, has 3 large flat sites. plus many more dispersed sites, also suitable for all types of camping vehicles
*Wood for your campfire is available to purchase, or you are welcome to bring your own.
*HOT Showers and toilets are situated within easy walking distance at all camp sites

Border Main Range National Park. Emu Creek Valley 20 km. Which places you close access to many park walks include 2km from the start of the Lincoln Bomber Walk. Or walk to the STEAMERS. Prow Funnel Mast Stern. Spring and Bellbird Walk on Broangus, commanding views of surrounding peaks.

We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap.
The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area.
Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open.
You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill.
There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road.
Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill.
Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras.
We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite.
We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. Good Firewood for camp ovens etc is available for purchase under Extras. Pre order your wood. For this one off price we will supply you for wood for your whole stay. There is sometimes wood located at each campsite but the amount and quality is varied.

Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away.
Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. We can still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way, ignore Google maps if it directs you to Lynches Creek Rd.

Tucked away in the mountains of the scenic rim 480m above sea level, Highland Retreat has views as far as the eye can see overlooking the border ranges
We have two private camp sites suitable for for self contained tents, campers and caravans, very limited amenities for now as the property is of grid you will need to bring a shower setup and toilet (long drop toilet at each site)
we are 80min away from Brisbane and Warwick
Pet friendly the property is a hobby farm (we have horses, dogs, sheep and chickens)
horses roam the property and are all friendly (if your pet isn't used to other animals please keep them on leash)
Boonah is only a 15min drive if you need supplies or forget something
Fire pits are setup at each campsite
Firewood is available for purchase $20 per bag (cash collection tin at campsite)
Endless activities and exploring to do around the area or just wind down and relax watching the view
2WD VEHICLES WONT HAVE ANY ISSUES GETTING TO THE SITES DURING DRY WEATHER
4WD IS REQUIRED FOR WET WEATHER ACCESS

We have a 400-acre beef cattle and cropping property in the beautiful Scenic Rim, 5 minutes from town. With a dam, farm tracks, a running creek to fish and frolic in, and plenty of wide-open spaces to rest and relax.
Our Creekside sites are in a large open paddock with creek frontage, near the road and readily accessed with 2wd vehicles. Or we have campsites in an elevated position which offer more privacy but do require a 4wd.
Campers must be self-sufficient and have their own toilet - we have no facilities here. Campfires are permitted in designated areas and you can buy firewood from us.
Note: There are facilities available in town including hot showers and toilets.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept restrained.

Beautiful campsite! We stayed at Red Gum Hill which had spectacular views. The site was sloping, so come prepared but that's its only downfall. Super private. Definitely would come again.

First of all, Guy is very friendly and accommodating. He treats all campers well. Secondly, Sunset Ridge is the ultimate camp site. The area is all to yourself. You have exclusive views and lucky enough to have hot air balloon go over our campsite. Hot shower is a just a two minute drive as the Sunset Ridge campsite is on the top of the hill. Or 12 minute walk to enjoy the view and farm animals. Very accessible just an hour drive from Brisbane. One of the best camping spots we’ve visited. Also horseback riding and calf feeding was fun and unique for a campsite. Definitely going back again.

Beautiful experience. I was a bit confused booking online because it was my first hip camp visit. However, I reached out to the owners and they replied quickly to any concerns I had. I stayed at the Kingland camping site. I didn't realise the campsite had a beautiful view of Mt Maroon as well as the hinterland and was pleasantly surprised. There is a large enough area where you still have enough privacy from the other sites. Our site held 8 people comfortably. I fell a bit in love with the spot that as soon as I got home I wanted to book for the next weekend. I definitely recommend! Just be aware the track to the campsite may be difficult for some cars because it is like a 4 wheel driving track.

This was our very first Hipcamp experience, so we weren't quite sure what to expect, but our stay at One Tree Hill was absolutely wonderful.
We camped at Dead Tree Alley, which was peaceful, private, and only a short walk to the homestead for the bathroom or a hot shower. One of the highlights was the friendly herd of rescue cows, who paid us a few curious visits and seemed fascinated by our campsite and campfire.
The property is stunning, with breathtaking views in every direction. The stargazing was incredible, and watching the full moon rise over the ridge was something we'll always remember.
Our young children absolutely loved feeding the animals and getting up close to them. Guy was especially patient with our 4-year-old, who was initially nervous around the animals. Thanks to his calm encouragement, our son not only gained confidence but even ended up riding a horse!
Guy and his family have created a truly special place. It's clear how much passion and hard work they put into caring for the property and their animals, and sharing it with others. We left with wonderful memories and wouldn't hesitate to return for another stay. Highly recommended!

Thanks Ashley & Belinda for sharing your property. Ahh the serenity! Site 7 ‘Sundown’ is a lovely spacious site with great views - even though it is not as high as other sites. The mountains and sunset are just beautiful. Easy to access. The site was well maintained, clean, mown & no cow pats to be seen…not that it would have mattered!
A little walk down the hill to the facilities but not too strenuous!
The instructions on arrival are easy to follow & everything is well laid out.

This was an excellent camp site, with great water views and a great location, based on the activities we wanted to do around the area. Amenities were clean with really hot showers. The only negative was having to wait approx 90mins on check-in, to still not be able to contact anyone ... with the winter sunset getting closer.

We loved listening to the running water going past and all the beautiful trees. The bath to warm up next to the creek was a winner; we even brought our own scented Epsom Salts. So pretty seeing the stars and full moon around the campfire. We will be back. Thank you.

This was our second stay at One Tree Hill, and it definitely won’t be our last. 🤍
The first time we stayed at Sunset Ridge, and this trip we stayed at Red Gum Hill. Both sites were beautiful, peaceful and incredibly private, each with their own charm.
If you’re looking for a quiet countryside escape with stunning mountain views, this place is hard to beat. We loved the peaceful atmosphere, the creek access, campfires under the stars, and how spacious the sites felt. It was also perfect for camping with dogs (on leash).
Access was straightforward in the dry, although we’d agree that 4WD is the better option if the weather turns wet.
This has become our favourite countryside campsite, and we’ll definitely be back again. Thanks, Guy, for sharing such a beautiful property with campers. 🤎🏕️🐾
