Swan Lake Resort & Campground
21 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents17 acres · Fergus Falls, MNSince 1949, we've been a family-operated resort & campground on Swan Lake in Fergus Falls, MN. We offer lakeside cabins, tent camping, and full hook-up, pull-through RV sites. Here, there is time to slow down, room to breathe, and lots to explore. Soak up the sun on the sandy beach, hike through the hidden trails, and take the pontoon out for a cruise. Be sure to turn the tech off and challenge a rival to ping pong, crack a cold one, and explore the water on stand-up paddleboard. Bring the little ones and get messy at the arts & crafts table, catch a sunfish off the docks, and indulge in s’mores around the campfire. Don’t forget to show us what you got on the volleyball court and savor an ice cream at the camp store. Curl up in a hammock and get lost in a good book, smile at the flowers and gaze in awe at the night sky. Just be.

Creekwood Acres, LLC
2 sites · Lodging89 acres · St. Joseph, MNWe purchased the property in 2003 in order to escape the city life and be closer to nature. Over the years we have developed our sustainable farm, raising grass-fed cattle, free-range chickens, turkeys, pigs and vegetables. We work hard to maintain practices that heal the land and preserve it for the future. No chemicals, hormones, antibiotics, pesticides or herbicides are used here. We raised our four children here and have made many memories together as we learned to farm, build and enjoy our land. We continue to create and build towards a long-term vision, creating a haven for artisans with self-sufficient living in mind. Welcome to our inviting custom built cottage. It is located on our property, approximately 300' from on our home on our 88 acre land plot, located 10 minutes outside of St. Joseph, MN. We are very near St. John's University and the College of St. Benedict. Hiking trails located on our property as well as nearby County parks and St. John's University. We are 6 miles from the Wobegon Trail (76 miles long) which is great for biking, roller blading, walking and running. Come explore Creekwood Acres which is host to a great deal of wild life as well as sustainably raised animals with a process we call rejuvenative farming. Wander through the woods and listen to the birds, watch monarch butterflies, our cattle, pigs, free-range chickens, and hear the frogs, crickets and occasionally distant coyotes. The Watab Creek runs through the property which consists of fields, forest and a pond. Our cozy cottage was built by our family using lumber sawn on our property. There are two double beds up in the loft accessible by ladder and one queen size sofa sleeper on the main level . A wood burning stove keeps the cottage cozy in cooler weather. There is a composting sawdust toilet in the cottage and an exterior outhouse, running water with a hot shower. Electricity keeps the cottage aglow and runs a refrigerator, microwave, sound system and fans. Also available for your convenience, an apartment size range/oven. Enjoy a fire in a private fire ring near the cottage. Firewood available for purchase (for exterior fire ring). Enjoy a wood-fired sauna upon request. The sauna has been known to get quite hot! At this time, we are taking reservations for the Cottage. We are currently working on developing campsites and another rustic cabin on the property for people who wish to tent camp with a goal of creating a unique experience and wonderful memories. Theres so much more to come and your current support to help with our reinvestment in Creekwood Acres is so greatly appreciated!!! Side Note: We truly strive to accommodate everybody's needs and wishes. The more we host, the more I understand some people just want to be left to enjoy a quiet weekend while others love to engage and develop a connection. I love to engage and develop connections and yet completely respect the desire for others privacy to the utmost degree. I try to let the guest set the stage and expectations based on the first greeting and any encounters. Please feel free to state your hopes and wishes, Also..., we are passionate about our farming methods with a strong sense of homesteading. If your are interested in learning more about regenerative farming or would like to secure a plot of land of your own, but are unable to secure financing..., our Realestate holdings company may be able to help finance that for you. Our quest with this thought would be to bring people back to the land in a holistic, spiritual, and conscientious manner. Todd

There is nothing more magical than a tent at twilight. The bell tent is set up with pretty string lights on the posts and down the front, as well as a lantern hanging from inside the top, so even after dark the tent was an inviting place to hang out.

Flying "L" Vineyard
7 sites · RVs, Tents22 acres · Isanti, MN I Grew up on the property and at the time it was a dairy farm after being Stationed in Italy While In the Airforce I came up with the idea for Dad and I to change the old farm into a vineyard and eventually it will grow up into being a winery.  That's part of the reason I want to host campers is to help pay for the winery equipment

Woods and Meadows Farm
3 sites · Lodging40 acres · Wrenshall, MN"All are welcome here." We love sharing our beautiful space with you. There are forty acres with woods, trails, meadows, ponds and a creek. It is peaceful and private. Each cabin has its own special ambiance. Each space has comes with a toilet, is bug-proof, and has various levels of cooking facilities. We will help you with suggestions of things to do and see in the area if you want us to. Please read all this and through each site's description before you "instant book." It helps us to know your ETA in advance and to update us so that we can plan our own day as well! Once you are in the area send us a message just before your arrival so we can meet you and set you up properly! When you come into our driveway you will see our house and barn. One of us will meet you and take you down to your site. -We ask that people check in before ten at night your first evening, so as not to disturb other guests... ;) It is very difficult to find your way in the dark. Thanks! We raised kids and hosted international students here, and always enjoy meeting other travelers. We are now retired but still traveling and exploring. While living and teaching internationally we looked for adventure, staying in a wide range of hostels in developing countries around the globe. We have enjoyed staying in everything from bamboo long-houses in Borneo and Thailand to adobe shelters in the Andes to rondavel huts in South Africa. There are free range chickens and a friendly farm dog here, and there are sometimes dogs staying at the other two cabins. There are also all kinds of wildlife in the area, so we require that dogs be supervised and leashed, for their safety and the safety of our chickens and our wild animal neighbors. :) Quiet hours are dusk to 7am. If you choose to bring a dog, we want you to consider your dog's inclination for barking. We keep the peace and quiet of all of our guests in mind. We hope that you (and your pet) will have fun at our northern Minnesota retreat. Burnell and Ann enjoy having company, and hearing about your travels and adventures (if you feel like sharing) and want you to feel safe and secure. All people are welcome here, as long as you follow our reasonable rules! PLEASE read through recommendations (number of people and animals per space) for each site before you choose: DRAGON LOFT has one double bed in a loft with a ladder. Great for 1-2 people. Very little extra sleeping space except for a dog bed or kennel below the loft. A third person would have to bring an air mattress or cot and sleeping bag. The BIG DIPPER can hold two people and possibly one dog, or one extra person, but it is a pinch to have more than just the two people! RAVEN WATCH cabin is comfortable for up to four people (two full size beds) but dogs not recommended if there are four people in the cabin. Number of pets are limited. No animals are ever allowed on human beds. Bring your kennel or dog bed. NEVER leave a dog alone at the site while you are out and about. No firearms, off-roading, fireworks, or other items or activities deemed to be dangerous by the hosts. No unregistered guests. We want our guests to feel welcome and comfortable, so ASK us if you have questions before you "instant book." If you have a couple of extra people or need more elbow room, ask us about a space for your tent that you can set up next to the cabin site. There is an extra charge of $15/person above the max per site.
