Beautiful site. Hosts were very nice and gave advice about the area to us upon arrival. They gave us all the firewood we needed, and the site and driveway were very well kept. Our Mitsubishi Outlander had no problem with the narrow and steep driveway. Would highly recommend!

This camp site is truly a hidden gem. It's super private, and we had the campsite all to ourselves. I want to start by saying the view is amazing, and the nature is outstanding. The amount of animals and variety of bugs was incredible. But I will be honest, the ticks and horsefly's were the only nuisance of the trip. They are pretty bad in the mornings, but otherwise tolerable during the rest of the day. The pond is beautiful, and has a family of beavers living on it. We got to hear them working during the night, it was super cool.
The location is only 20 mins from Park Rapids, so if you need supplies or want to check out the town, it's not too far away. The site Does Not have water or electricity, and the bathrooms are a bit far from the camp site. I Wouldn't recommend walking to them in the middle of the night. Maybe bring a bucket. There is also a storm shelter if needed.
They also provide wood, which you can pick up at the entrance of the site. They were actually kind enough to bring us wood all the way from the entrance to our campsite Twice! We were so grateful. The host's are amazingly nice people, and we had great communication with them!
My number one favorite thing about the entire trip/site, was the star gazing! I've never seen so many stars in my entire life! It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. You can literally see every star in the sky from this location! 🤩

It was a wonderful camping experience. Very secluded with scenic pond views and sun rises. The hosts were wonderful and provided lots of firewood to help keep the bugs away.

My wife, two sons, two dogs and I all had a great time tent camping here. Has a beautiful view, fire ring, picnic table, canoe too launch on the pond and a short walk to the latrine. Loved spending the night here with my family!

We really enjoy Amy’s land, the view of the pond and the surrounding nature is stunning. This spot is great for tent camping and easy access all the way to the site with 4-wheel drive.

We had a great time, the site was beautiful and private. There was firewoood provided with a quality fire ring. There was even a canoe to paddle on the pond! We were able to drive right to the site in a Toyota Corolla with only a minor scrape on the rougher spots. Google Maps took us right to it and there was plenty of signage.

Camping here was an enjoyable experience. With nice views and amenities, I would absolutely stay here again. The host was very pleasant and gave us a ride back to the site partway through so we could scope out if our SUV was going to make it.

We had a fantastic time camping in this private location. The view of the pond was beautiful, and the provided fire pit and picnic table were super helpful. Location was nearby to a few hiking spots, bars, and general store as needed. Would absolutely stay again!!!

I cannot recommend this site enough! It was so beautiful and serene. The seclusion makes it easy to enjoy all of the sites and sounds of nature and the private pond is a huge plus as someone that loves to be near water but hates crowded beaches! The water is clean and calm with lots of water plants, frogs, dragonflies, and even a turtle or two.
I chose this spot specifically because it is class 2 on the Bortle scale of light pollution. I came to see the stars and I was not disappointed!!
Overall just an incredibly gorgeous spot to camp. It’s peaceful, well maintained, and the host is super nice and communicative! Thank you Amy, I will definitely be back soon!

This was such a nice private escape! The firewood and canoe was an awesome bonus to this extremely private camp spot. The owners were wonderful to communicate with and one stopped by as he was mowing trails when we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed and reccomend fishing spots and hiking trails in the area. We will definitely come back to this site!

This land was just what we’d hoped for! Great view of the pond, we even took the canoe out one morning to see the never dam and also saw some ducklings, it was peaceful and serene being out there. It was quiet and peaceful. Unfortunately we got rained on a bunch, so didn’t get to enjoy the entire camp fire/star gazing experience, but sure that would be wonderful too! If you like rugged camping, it is-it’s isolated, you have to fully deal with the elements and bugs, and there’s no running water, but we knew all that and super enjoyed it! Totally recommend. The owners are great too! Met the husband.

Very private and relaxing. Enjoyed the scenery and listening to the owls at night. The fire pit with the grate came in very useful and plenty of firewood for our stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone else and come back again!! Thankyou so much for the opportunity to camp your property!!

4 of us tent camped here and loved it! Firewood was provided as was a fire pit, picnic table, and an outhouse with toilet paper. We really enjoyed the view, privacy, as well as the wildlife. 10/10 would recommend !!
Thank you so so much to the hosts! They didn’t bother us one bit, and even stopped by on our second night to replenish our wood supply! Very much appreciated!
Note: keep an eye out for ticks, there were a lot- but that was a given when camping. Bring lots of big spray

The campsite was AMAZING. Super private, the fall colored were stunning, and it was magical everything about it! I’d go back and definitely recommend it! My dog and I had a great time. It was better than a 5 star hotel!

Great spot! Fall colors were popping and got to take the canoe out. Amy and her husband were super responsive and even got my some dry firewood as it had rained a ton the day before.

Amy and her husband are wonderful hosts who are welcoming and easy to communicate with. The property is well laid out with signs to help you locate the parking area, bathroom, and tent site. The trails are well maintained and our dog loved spending time in the pond.
The hosts provide firewood and the fire pit has a grate which makes cooking over the fire easy. The stars and different wildlife calls at night were amazing!
This site is only 4 miles from the south entrance of Itasca State Park, Minnesota’s first state park. It’s also only a mile from a North Country Trail trailhead, which is a trail system that goes across eight states!
I can only imagine how beautiful this site is going to be when the leaves hit peak fall color. We cannot wait to go back!
