Weekend Trip to Panorama on Oxenbury

One of the most peaceful camps we’ve stayed at! Beautiful open space with incredible views across the hills — perfect spot to set up the van and switch off for a couple of days. Plenty of room for the dog to run around and just enjoy nature. The site was super easy to access, private, and exactly what we needed for a relaxing break. Would absolutely recommend and would love to come back!

Weekend Trip to Eldorado Caravan Park

Good value, no frills campground. Easy automated check-in process, friendly hosts. Ameneties are a little dated, but perfectly usable. A couple of minutes walk to the McEvoy Tavern, Victoria's smallest pub, which was worth a visit.

3 nights at Panorama on Oxenbury

We really enjoyed our stay! The privacy of the property, and being able to let our dog off-leash was such a bonus. Having access to power and water while still feeling like we had the place to ourselves was fantastic. Our caravan is self contained, so we didn’t use the shed or bathroom facilities much, but I can see how valuable they’d be - especially in bad weather. Lyndon was extremely helpful and easy to contact, particularly when we accidentally went to the neighbouring property (same number, just with an “A” on the end!). Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful, pet-friendly stay with access to amenities. We’ll likely be back!

Weekend Trip to Willowbank on the Murray

We just loved staying at the River Bend. Vicki was so kind and down to earth and ensured we had a pleasant stay. The place is incredible, serene with picturesque views. Had some fun fishing before toasting some marshmallows and enjoying the warmth of the fire. We played some music and the cows came over to hang out which was cute! Our dog especially loved this place and enjoyed exploring. If you’re going to NSW, you need to stay here, it’ll make the stress melt off your shoulders. Vicki, thank you so much :)

Weekend Trip to Willowood

Our stay at Willowood was beautiful, very peaceful great views, the sound of the river flowing was music to our ears! The fire pit was amazing great size, we had wood delivered to our site cut and ready to burn witch made for such a relaxing weekend, Sally was very helpful and informative from the start and her husband was great popping by to see if there was anything we needed.. I would highly recommend this hipcamp to others and we will be back 😊

Absolutely beautiful spot to camp on the Ovens River. A favorite for our family and we go back as often as we can. We love the cows too and enjoy the cheeky calves coming to say hello every morning.

Weekend Trip to Samsons Gully

The little creek was great to listen too. It’s a working farm and he got to see the tractors and ATVs com and go. It was our first off grid camp and valleys are windy and don’t forget the fog hangs some days. We’ll go back and in brace all again.

This was a boys weekend away, had an awesome stay for 3 nights, camp fire was feed well with the timber that Damo brought down for us, some great pubs and wineries to go and explore, will be back again maybe in the warmer weather to sit in the King river which ran along side the camp site.

Excellent stay camping by the river. Very friendly and obliging owners. Delivered firewood to our pit and made us feel welcome. In the end we did not utilise the powered site, as we found the better sites were the ones located on the river bank unpowered. Well maintained campsite and an excellent toilet and hot shower facility. Good walks in both directions along the river front. Very dog friendly location. Will stay again

4 nights at Kielock Homestead

We braved the Winter weather and got to enjoy the beautiful scenery of this gorgeous property. We will definitely be back in the warmer months but would highly recommend for a cosy Winter get away. Hipcamp link to google maps will lead you up the wrong road, be sure to key in the actual address. The hosts were very warm and welcoming. You can tell they are passionate about their land and animals. It shows in the maintenance of the property and deserves the respect that is expected upon staying here.

What an amazing spot! It was raining pretty much the entire time but when it wasn’t Sally was happy to show the animals to the kids and let them feed them. She was amazing. The kids enjoyed watching the farm in action and the view were brilliant. Will definitely be back!

Riverside King Valley is set on a 25 acres on the banks of the King river featuring 10 spacious campsite spread along the property. Just a half an hour drive from Wangaratta, 45 minutes from Benalla and an hour from Mansfield. Each site offers something a little different whether it is a spacious site for a large group or party or a smaller site for a family weekend away. Our site is accessible for all vehicle types and is dog-friendly as long as pets are well-controlled. Campfires are allowed when restrictions aren’t in place, and firewood and kindling is available for purchase (see Extras). Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites. Each powered site has only 1 power supply. Kielock Homestead is a unique farm stay experience located centrally in the beautiful Kiewa Valley Victoria where you can camp right on the bank of the Kiewa River. Some of the activities available include fishing, swimming, bush walking, bird and animal watching and bike riding. If you choose you can join in on farm activities such as feeding the animals, collecting eggs and planting/harvesting fruit and vegetables. We have a small market garden available where you can pick and purchase seasonal fresh produce, alternatively vegetable boxes and eggs are available by arrangement and delivered right to your campsite. Within the 200 acres of the property you will find it is home to many animals including kangaroos wombats platypus possums, bats and many bird and marine species. The main fish in the river are trout and cod so if you would like to try your luck fishing this is the place for you.Some of the surrounding towns include Mt Beauty (20 mins), Yackandandah (30 mins), Bright (50 mins), Beechworth (50 mins) Falls Creek (60 mins) with the border towns of Albury and Wodonga only 50 mins away. These beautiful towns contain an array of boutique wineries, craft breweries, bakeries and cafes, or you can choose to follow a farm gate food trail.The area also provides opportunities to go horse-riding, bike riding on one of the many rail trails or be adventurous on the mountain bike tracks at Falls Creek in the warmer months with snow sports in winter. The surrounding mountain ranges offer numerous famous 4wd trails or you might like to try your hand at panning for gold.This is a working farm and our animals are our family. They are very friendly but only know us and not you so please do not enter their homes without us, but feel free to talk to them over the gates. Be aware that all fences are electric and are switched on at all times. There is a dedicated communal campfire area for use when fire restrictions permit and we request that no additional fire pits are created during your stay. As this is a working property we are unable to accommodate your pets. For biosecurity reasons there is a strict No Pet policy. Mains water is available at the property to top up your Vans or Gerry cans should you need to replenish, so never run out of water 😊 It is surrounded by picturesque green countryside laden with ancient Red Rivergum Trees and billabongs with access to river frontage for fishing and the King River Site and White Cedar sites have a swimming hole for those hot summer days. The Secret Island site does have a swimming spot but not as safe for little ones. The river is ideal for swimming, tubing, floating and fishing. Choose either to relax with a book and a glass of wine and do nothing or go and explore the many attractions of the wonderful North East area including the beautiful King Valley, Beechworth, Bright, Yarrawonga and Rutherglen plus many other gorgeous areas that have Art Trails or Silo Art Trails, all of which are 30-60 minutes drive from the property. Billabong Flats Farm sites are very spacious with each section private from other Campers with a fire pit provided at the site plus an abundance of open area for recreation for kids and dogs to run around. The King River Site is an extra large riverside bush campsite that could accommodate a large group of Vans (10 at least). It has a designated fire pit and Campers will need to have own Toilet/Shower amenities and be and leave no trace behind when leaving us. Accessible for most types of vehicles. Dog friendly if well behaved and controlled and won't chase the Cattle. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place, firewood for sale (see Extras). We are close to the region’s attractions including 15mins drive to Brown Brothers Winery in Milawa, many Lookouts and National Parks, Lake William Hovell, Restaurants, Wineries and Distilleries of this special area.

Willowbank on the Murray

Our 25 acre HipCamp area is located safely within our 300 acre property which enjoys approximately 5 kilometres of pristine and private Murray River frontage in the beautiful rural city of Albury. Willowbank is a fourth generation cattle farm and when you arrive at Willowbank you will feel like you are a million miles away from anywhere but you are only 2.8km from the centre of Albury and 2.9km to Wodonga from our sites . We are less than 5 minutes away from the beautiful South Albury cafe and boutique shopping precinct; Ebden & Olive, Nannina's, Meraki, Platform 9, South Albury Take Away, Di Billet, Almar Organics, Sukor Wellness & Recovery, The Red Devil Brewery, Tucker on Townsend, Chic to Chic and more. We are also only 3.5km from Harris Farm Markets. Albury's public Dump Point at Albury Railway Station is less than 5 minutes away. Each of our camping sites is well away from each of the others and there is plenty of room at each site for children to play. The two best sites for swimming are The River Bend and The Willows. We encourage the use of life jackets for children in the water at all time. We have no toilet or shower facilities at any of our sites so you are required to bring your own toilet with you. All waste must be removed at the end of your visit. We have no access to drinking water and if you decide to use river water for drinking we do recommend that you boil the water. Swimming, floating, paddling in the Murray River is a sublime pastime. Please be aware though, that the Murray River has a very fast and strong current. Looking to hire a canoe, we recommend you contact Dave/ Murray River Canoe Hire (0417 691 339) for a canoe to paddle around your campsite or to do a beautiful canoe trip on the Murray River from Doctor's Point to Noreuil Park. It will take a few hours and yes you will go past your camp site! We do have an area to launch your motor or paddle boat or jet ski We are on the banks of the magnificent Murray River and all our three sites are absolute river frontage with uninterrupted views up, down and across the Murray River.
