Campsites 2 and 3 are smaller and more suited to one van with 1 - 2 tents (or 4 - 6 people). Ample car parking. Campsites are 110m apart with a light screen of trees in between, no crowds here. Accessed via 3.5km of rough dirt track - not recommended for low vehicles or low towing vans. The track is rough BUT easily driven by all vehicles - just drive slowly. Dogs welcome, firewood is easily gathered by you, and often in piles by your campsite. Campsites are NOT near water. They are near a dry gully, with an **** unfenced dam.**** We have a beautiful swimming hole at the property entrance, in Boggy Creek. Guests are welcome to enjoy the shaded lawn area, BBQ and pot belly fire. The creek is 3kms from the campsites. Near The Hut is the gate to take a walk up to Sugar Loaf (500m return), where you can see amazing grass trees and place a rock on the cairn. Look for the wallabies that live up there. Stay with us to get away from crowded campsites, to enjoy a quieter holiday, while being close to a great tourist district. The King Valley showcases wineries, gourmet food, eateries, restaurants, pubs, brewery, even a gin distillery. We are surrounded by creeks, rivers and lakes, with many fishing, swimming and kayaking options - all within a 30 minute drive! Take a walk to the top of Sugar Loaf, and see unique grass trees on this rocky hill, while catching sight of Mount Buffalo. 8kms to Moyhu which has a pub, coffee shop, general store - all with great food options. Samsons Gully is a perfect base to explore the Upper Murray. 20 minutes away is Corryong where there is an IGA, service stations, dump point, Dr and hospital, pubs and cafes. 10 minutes away is the Cudgewa pub who do dinner Wednesday through to Sunday evenings. Our property suits fully self contained campers only as there is not toilet or shower. Dogs and horses are welcome but must be well behaved and kept close to your camp site as this is a working cattle property. Due to council regulations we can only open one site up at a time. This ensures that your time here will be exclusive, peaceful and private.

The fully renovated three level barn maintains the beautiful rustic exterior and a comfortable modern interior. A full size loft bedroom with queen size bed and work space. A fully equipped kitchen with oven, stovetop, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. A cosy lounge area with two and three seat sofas. There is also a sleeping area in the lounge with a Murphy Bed, hidden by day and turns into a comfy queen size bed at night. The third bedroom with a king single and a single bed, TV, hanging space and shoe storage. Enjoy a full breakfast each morning from the fully stocked fridge including eggs, bacon, milk and butter or select from corn flakes, muesli, porridge and a generous bowl of fresh fruit. Quality linen, pure wool blankets, towels and bath sheets are provided along with shampoo, conditioner, soap and fluffy bath robes. On arrival you will be welcomed with a bottle of locally produced wine and chocolates. My aim was to create a comfortable, stylish space and provide each guest with a truly unique experience rather than just somewhere to stay. This has awarded with consistent 5 star reviews. Amazing place to stay, really private, sheltered with plenty of shade as well as sun. Right next to the river with a lovely big pebble beach area. Picnic table, hot shower and nice clean toilet, hammock, fire pit, some cooking facilities, deck chairs on the beach area, fresh lemons (seasonal). Both myself and my dog loved our stay here, it would also be good for larger groups but I loved having it all to myself.

Weekend Trip to High Country Paradise

Our family stayed the weekend and had a fantastic experience! We were warmly greeted by the friendly host and her lovely dog, which made us feel welcome straight away. The campsites were spacious and peaceful, with plenty of room to spread out! The creek was absolutely gorgeous- crystal clear and such a beautiful spot. Plenty of wildlife too! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic getaway. There’s also a glamping tent for anyone wanting more luxury. We can’t wait to return in warmer weather to truly take advantage of the stunning creek. The only area for improvement would be the toilet block which could do with a tidy and stock up, but this certainly didn’t change our experience overall and we’d definitely return!

Quiet and peaceful. Beautiful river setting. Plenty of bird life to see and hear. Lucky to spend half an hour watching a platypus feed. Fire every night. Michael gives clear directions. Warmly welcomes. Has a list of things to do, places to eat, wineries etc in the area. He is proud of what he offers, has plans to make you feel even more spoilt. Walk or ride to town.

This is one of the best camps I have stayed at! Michael has made such an effort to make the whole trip a success, from giving good directions, greeting you at arrival and showing you where to go. He also has a list of things to do in the area which was super helpful. The sites are green and private. I could even walk barefoot on the lawn which doesn’t happen often in Aus! The toilets and showers are super clean and bins are provided which again makes the stay easy. Easy river access and only a short walk from town. We will def be back

We loved the whole experience. The property is easily accessible in caravans. So so much space and huge camping areas. Other people camping but you would never know. Ian and Patrick are fabulous and friendly hosts. Great river access drop toilets which were very clean. Pet friendly. Highly recommend this hipcamp. We will definitely be back😁
