Gordens track camping grounds is located right on the fringe of the Alberton West state forest. This is an excellent place for mountain/dirtbike and horse riders. You could ride though the forest for days and not see all of it. (Please note Motorbikes & Horses are not to be ridden on the property) the campsites are all shaded by gums and provide and excellent place relax by nature! Within the camping ground we have campsite 1 . Welcome! Our Farm is situated on a 100acre cattle farm in East Gippsland. Our camping spot is perfect for families or singles alike. We can cater for up to 5 caravans or family groups. Space is a large grassed area on a slight incline with a firepit and hotplate, along with a shelter to get you out of the rain if required. The space is perfect for children, with a large open space to run and play. Its also a great location for a stop over before taking off into the Avon Wilderness for a 4x4 adventure. Just out the front gate is a riders paradise, be that mountain bike or motorbike. Ride all day, and return to Kencher Park for a beer and a rest, ready for another day of adventure. Kencher Park is the perfect location to return back to after a day of fly fishing on the Macalister river or a quick bass session in Lake Glenmaggie. 10 Minutes from Lake Glen Maggie, 4 Minutes from the entry to the Avon Wilderness, 10 Minutes from Blores Hill Mountain Bike Park, 20 Minutes from the sleepy town of Heyfield and 20 Minutes from the Newry Pub! Portaloo Toilet is available for use as well!

We had a wonderful time at Susan's campsite. The location is stunning and the campsite is very well equipped with an outdoor kitchen area, a fire pit, an outdoor table and benches and a hut with a table and chairs. The hut was perfect for playing cards while it was raining. Also the campsite is very private. We fell in love with the landscape: green rolling hills, gorgeous-looking cows, and pristine rainforest. Thank you Susan for sharing your beautiful property. And being able to bring our dog was a big +. We will be back. The toolshed at Noojie is a great spot to have dinner. ❤️🐮🦆

A beautiful and peaceful spot. Susan was a fantastic host, thoughtful, kind and responsive. I was even gifted some homemade chilli jam and eggs. I spent 2 nights here just cooking on the fire, watching the wildlife by the pond including a wide variety of bird life and a fox. The set up has everything you need- camp toilet, mud kitchen, table and chairs and even a hut to have shelter in the rain. Plenty of fallen kindling to be collected if needed. Will return to explore some of the walking tracks. So nice to be able to have a solo getaway and not have to share the campsite with anyone, but feel totally safe. Just a short drive into town. Highly recommend.

First awake at camp is a special time. Day breaks with the chorus of waterhen, Wonga Pigeon and kookaburra, backed by pobblebonk and the odd snuffling of the cows. Alone? Not with this crowd 🤩.

Chris's place by the river is beautiful. The sound of the river and the birds was breathtaking. The grounds were extremely neat and tidy and the little hut was very quirky and interesting. We sat in there one afternoon when it got quite windy so it was very handy. Chris was very quick responding to any communication and very friendly.

Weekend Trip to Gordens Track Camping Grounds

What a great place! So clean, plenty of space for the 9 of us and privacy between camp-sites. The hut is perfect for extra room if needed to prepare food, has a large picnic table to sit & eat or shelter from the rain. With the forest across the road and Port Welshpool a quick bike or car ride away, this camp really has everything. From riding along tracks to walking the beach or long pier, very relaxing for a short or long stay. Hosts are easy to communicate with and give great directions...camp-site is extremely easy to get to with a caravan or trailer. Thanks so much Steff & Dylan, we all appreciated the stay in your little slice of heaven 🤗

1 night at Millers Farm "The Hills are alive"

It was pure joy to wake up on Miller's farm. The rooster heralded dawn - better than any alarm clock. That inspired the chorus of birdsong; kookaburras, cockatoos, wattlebirds, magpies, currawongs. That in turn encouraged the sheep - they started their day bleating for their feathered friends to join them. Farmer Anne let the feathers free and mayhem reigned. Chooks, turkeys and the sole duck running around chatting with excitement at the new day. The goats and alpacas were pretty happy to say hi too. How lucky were we to be part of it. Highly recommend Miller's Camp - check in was easy. Communication great. Anne was lovely. Camp kitchen was a bonus. Great stay. Thankyou.

Great venue, the host Charlotte was excellent and made us feel right at home. the sites were awesome, great views and each night ended by the log fire with a glass of wine. 10/10, in fact we are looking for excuses to go back! My 9 year old also rated it as a 10 out of 10! we will see you all again soon!

The fenced off area is well maintained and can comfortably fit 3 vans. It is also pet friendly, so dogs have plenty of space to roam off lead. There is also a cute little room where you can hang out if the weather is not being nice.

Caitlin was an excellent host — friendly, welcoming and quick to help with any questions, but never intrusive. She struck that perfect balance of being available when needed, while giving us full space to settle in and enjoy our weekend. She even brought us fresh eggs, which we cooked over the campfire for breakfast — thank you so much! The location is fantastic: only a couple of minutes’ drive from the beach and township. While there’s a road that runs alongside the property, it’s a quiet one, and we weren’t disturbed by traffic at all. Facilities were just as described. Having a toilet and shower on site was great. We brought our own camping shower for hot water and it was easy to set up in the shower recess — but anyone more hardy than us would probably be totally fine using the shower as-is. The fridge was a real bonus for food storage, and the undercover area made cooking and meals easy — especially handy on a very wet day. The camp area itself was lovely and well-kept, with short grass and views across the horse paddocks. We were also thoroughly entertained by watching the chickens wandering around during the day. The firepit got plenty of use too, and grabbing firewood from Sandy Point township was quick and simple. Overall, we had a brilliant stay and are already looking forward to returning. Thanks Caitlin and hope to see you again soon!

Our stay at Miller’s farm had been nothing but wonderful! Kate and the whole family, especially Anne, were the best hosts! The hospitality, accommodation, and friendliness were top-notch. It was really lovely and relaxing to watch both the farm animals and the wildlife. We’ll definitely come back next time.
