‘Cannavale’ is a working beef cattle property with quiet cattle, horses and farm dogs. Situated less than 2 mins off the Princes Fwy our farm stay offers a safe secluded spot to park up overnight or to stay a little longer to check out local attractions. Cannavale offers a great spot to escape the ‘busy’ of city life for awhile. Walk down a quiet country road, through open grassy paddocks or sit and admire the beautiful Gippsland countryside, the options are endless! Pet friendly camping, caravan/RV sites with easy drive through access to camping areas. Minimal levelling needed to setup for your stay. An open grassy area has been fenced off to offer what we feel is some of the most picturesque views of our property with stunning views of Mt Cannibal and across the valley to the Baw Baw ranges. Stay with us to experience our peaceful farm lifestyle while enjoying the magnificent valley views to Mt Cannibal, Bunyip State Forrest and beyond. Sit quietly with a drink while watching the sunset over the dam to the beautiful Bunyip State Forest in the distance - breathtaking! Central to many local eateries and tourist attractions such as Gumbya World, the old Garfield Picture Theatre, Sherwood Park Orchard and Cafe, Cannibal Creek Winery, Cannibal Creek Bakery in Garfield and Soul Sisters Cafe in Longwarry to name a few. Lots to explore in this gorgeous part of West Gippsland! To top off a great time outdoors we offer 3 of Australia’s best butcher shops all within 10 minutes drive. Nothing tastes better on the BBQ than locally sourced grass fed beef. Just ask Craig the “BBQ Boss”. You’ll have everyone wanting to join you! *Horse Riding friends - Cannavale is also located within easy driving distance to Bunyip State Forrest(15mins), Nangara Reserve(15mins) and Tonimbuk Equestrian Center(5mins). Please ask for more details of places to ride if this is for you. For your convenience Bunyip IGA and Bunyip train station are also located within a short drive. An open campsite with a small shade tree to pull-up beside that offers an uninterrupted view across the valley and up to Mt Cannibal, the beautiful Bunyip State Forest and mountains in the distance. Sit beside your campsite watching the local birdlife land in front of you on the dam. Farm life at its best! Listen to the local wood ducks as they bath in the shallows, spot the Gang Gang parrots, black cockatoos, king parrots and eastern Rosellas as they make their way down the tree line to Baw Baw National Park. A magnificent spot to see watch the sky full with uninterrupted colours as the sunsets behind Mt Cannibal.

Site 1 - Offers a peaceful, shady campsite with sunrise paddock views. Offering a backdrop along our country road with mature trees for shade and privacy, allowing you to enoy breakfast around the campfire, a pleasant spot to put the picnic table under the gum tree. This spot is a great place to listen to the wind through the leaves, hear the sound of our local birdlife and the sound of the animals on the farm.

An easy access camp site positioned alongside our shelter, make use of the shelter to cook your dinner or place your chairs under the open sky to watch the sunset over the farm, either way you'll enjoy the peace, quiet and fresh air. If you're looking for somewhere to park the van while you go sightseeing for the day or take the kids to Gumbya World (only 5 minutes away), this is the spot for you. Watch the sheep are grazing in the dam paddock next door while having your morning cuppa or venture out onto the jetty over the dam.

The best spot on the property to watch the stars after the sunsets. Our “Clear Skies” campsite offers an open style campsite with an uninterrupted panoramic view across the property, along the valley, up to Mt Cannibal, then across to the beautiful Bunyip State Forest and mountains in the distance. Sit beside your campsite watching the local birdlife while they sing in the trees behind your camp or watch the ducks, egrets, cormorants and other local waterfowl land on the dam in front of your camp. Farm life at its best! Listen to the local wood ducks as they bath in the shallows, watch for long neck turtles migrating over the hill into the dam or spot the Gang Gang parrots, black cockatoos, king parrots and eastern Rosellas as they make their way down the tree line to Baw Baw National Park. A magnificent spot to watch the sunset as the wide open views of the sky fill with uninterrupted colours as the sunsets behind Mt Cannibal to the west.

Very nice place with for a quiet and relaxing time. We spent a couple nights and really enjoyed our time there. Very nice views across the field. Shelly & Craig (the hosts) were super friendly guiding us into their farm. We felt very welcome there. We definitely will be returning.

Perfect weekend away with the family to a close to home Hipcamp ! Shelly and Craig are awesome People , perfect hosts ! Views from our campsite were excellent, sunset was truely spectacular! Kiddos had fun getting up close to the horses and cattle ! Will be coming back again for sure ! Thanks heaps Shelly and Craig !

Wide amazing views of sunset, with dam in foreground and mountains on horizon, in this private Hipcamp. Ducks on dam, beautiful horse over fence and friendly good natured dogs. View of mist over the water in the morning was also beautiful. Great for children who can see the farm animals. Our stay at this Hipcamp was truly special, thanks to Shelly and Craig. They are a friendly, welcoming couple and our chats with them added so much to our experience.

It was such a peaceful place to stay and easy to find off the highway. Shelly and Craig were really welcoming. We stayed on site 4 and we overlooked the dam and had the most beautiful view with gorgeous sunsets each night. We have already booked to go back in April for another relaxing weekend away.

We loved the outlook of the paddock which has views over the property dam and surrounding ranges. The site access is very easy for a large van and the site is fairly level. The hosts, Shelly and Craig, are very accommodating, and took the time to chat with us and show our kids their two beautiful horses and four doggies. The camp is a short drive off the freeway, so access is easy. Yet, you could be anywhere as there is absolutely no noise.

Straight off the Geelong Ferry and drove straight to these guys . Perfect communication by Shelly and met by Craig for a late check in at 9. Lovely flat site , quiet, peaceful , but straight off the highway . Suited us for an overnight stay .

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Canna Vale, and look forward to returning soon. The extremely large, well maintained paddock sites mean that even when sharing the location with others there is plenty of room for everyone. The ducks enjoying the nearby dam provided delightful entertainment without intruding on us. Nor did they block out the spectacular sunset view. A great camp site, definitely a great place to visit.

The hosts were friendly, highly accommodating and understanding when we were running late to check in. The spot was incredibly peaceful, lovely little dam which can be seen from the campsite. Their dogs are all so friendly and cute - we loved giving them aomr pats 😍 The location was easy to find and instructions for check-in were straightforward. We'd recommend staying here. Thank you 😊

Highly recommend to those campers who want to escape from the city and would like to have a short drive from Melbourne. The host, Shelly, is very responsible and friendly. The sunset is amazing and the bady cows are adorable!

Tranquility at its finest! Spent the weekend at Clear Horizons with the family. Shelly and Craig are outstanding hosts, super friendly and helpful. Walked around the property and visited the horses and Angus cows. Lucky enough to see a family of kookaburras paying us a visit in the evening. Need to go back to get some fresh honey👌 Highly recommended!

The camping space is attractive with views north and west; good sunsets. There was afternoon shade available next to a gum tree. Both Shelly and Craig were warm hosts, friendly and supportive. It is close to the Princes Highway that it is easy to access. The camping block has a gentle slope and the grass is cut. We would recommend this to any campers and would gladly return. Thanks Shelly and Craig.

We had a fantastic overnight stay at Cannavale Farm Stay and couldn’t fault it. The site itself was spacious, grassy and easy to access, with plenty of room to get set up comfortably. It felt nicely spread out and private, with beautiful open views across the surrounding farmland. Super peaceful and quiet, especially in the evening. The farm setting is lovely. Waking up to the sounds of cattle and the countryside was a real highlight and exactly what we were looking for in a farm stay. It’s close enough to town to be convenient, but once you’re there it really feels like a proper escape. Hosts were welcoming and the property is well maintained. If you’re self-contained and after a relaxed, no-fuss farm stay with space, views and a calm rural vibe, this place is a great option. We’d happily stay again and recommend it to others.

Loved the views! Shelly & Craig were so kind and offered for us to walk around the property if we wished. The one paddock with 4 spots gives you enough room to spread out and enjoy your site to yourself still. The sunset over the mountains was a cherry on top! We'd definitely stay again in the future.

Absolutely beautiful spot!! Can’t thank Shelly and Craig enough. Great location close to towns for a sneaky pub meal. Unbelievable sunsets and we were entertained by the cows. We’ll be back!
