The campsite was big enough for our group with 4 tents and three cars. Robert was so generous, providing us firewood, power, a floodlight and he let us stay in the shed as it was non-stop rain. He checked in with us frequently to make sure we were okay. Reception is very limited. Two friendly dogs kept us company.

We had the most amazing time at Tonimbuk Farm. The setting is absolutely stunning — right on the edge of the dam with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. Our kids had an absolute blast exploring the area and spending time in nature.
A special highlight was the two gorgeous dogs, Marly and Max, who hung around during our stay - they were so friendly and we loved their company.
We were lucky enough to spot the resident platypus, a wombat, some deer, and a few kangaroos — such a treat!
The firewood supply was more than generous, and the little fire starter kit was a thoughtful touch that made setting up a breeze. All in all, this place exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be back!

We have a wonderful weekend. We set up our van and camp fire beside the lake. One hour drive from Melbourne. Robert has shown us around the farm. Highly recommend to anyone who like camping. Definitely go back again with my family and group of friends.

We had a lovely return visit to Tonimbuk Farm. Such a relaxing spot. We even saw the resident platypus this time which was very exciting. Great having power to run the heater during winter. Enjoyed a fire and welcoming hosts. Highly recommended. Thanks

Thankyou Leanne and Rob for another lovely stay at your beautiful property. We have found our favourite place to camp now (this one). We are looking forward to coming back very soon and we will hopefully be able to stay longer next time
Both camping grounds are kept immaculate and waking up hearing the birds and cows is quite surreal.
We can highly recommend this beautiful peaceful place to get away from everything. Please note, there is no internet or mobile phone connectivity, so it truly does mean getting away from it all for some genuine old fashioned peace and quiet.

We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful campsite! The location is stunning, with easy access and very clean, well-maintained sites. Rob and his wife are truly special hosts friendly, welcoming, and full of great energy.
Their dogs, Max and Mali, are absolutely adorable and added such a warm, homey touch to our stay. We felt right at home and are already looking forward to coming back soon

We had a great time staying in Robert’s land. The place is beautiful. Full of green grass a massive fire pit and lots of great details like lights, decking area and even a bar. Awesome place!! Rob and his wife were fantastic going the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Thanks Rob for allowing us to stay in your property. We will definitely will try to come back.

We loved everything about the spot , it was better than the photos and they have so many things we didn’t realise as part of the stay like bar stools , tables , cups even had an esky there for us , just having the shelter and bar area was such a cool spot to hang out , very secluded from the house and private.
Kids loved the dogs on the farm , great hosts and they have done an amazing job with the lighting. Great atmosphere for a group gathering

Upon arrival, we were met by Robert on a tractor who came to greet us with 3 friendly dogs in tow. There is a Welcome Sign with your names on it, therefore, directions are easy to see where you should be. There was even a campfire pit stocked up ready to go, along with a Starter Kit supplied. These things were a really lovely touch we thought. This spot is absolutely picturesque by the Dam and the pictures most definitely don't do it justice. It's a superb view to wake up to in the morning, sit by the sun in the day or by the campfire at night.
After a chilly evening, we woke to a variety of birds singing in the morning, to the ducks frolicking in the water, even a platypus surfaced for a visit in front of the firepit to look at us.
The whole experience was absolutely peaceful and relaxing. The Hosts are super friendly and go above and beyond what you'd normally see with Hosts, so that felt really special to us.
We really look forward to returning with our two teens to go fishing in the Dam or to stay at the Creek Site to see how that one is.

Short distance from Melbourne, though once there feels like it's own hidden foggy dreamscape surrounded in natural and pastoral beauty with stunning views of Australian forest, and fields perfect for watching the sun set or rise. Well cared for by a very friendly, helpful host, equipped with a fire pit, aesthetic lighting, a bar and bush stage (above which we saw a sugar glider!) Greet each morning with the comforting sounds of bell birds singing and cows lowing in the distance. A beautiful spot that enhanced a magical time away making for wonderful memories I never want to forget.

My first experience with Hipcamp and travelling solo in a van and could not have gone better. The dam view location was perfect and Rob and Leanne great hosts, made for a very enjoyable 2 night stay. I will definitely be back.

Absolutely had the best time - the farm is so beautiful with 3 very cute farm dogs in a beautiful part of the Bunyip state park ❤️ The hosts are very good at communicating and such a lovely family ❤️ our kids adored the animals and watching our for platypus which my husband saw❤️ highly recommend ❤️ psa no reception ( which was really refreshing) and don't go via camp road unless you have the right vehicle

We absolutely loved the site. It was very private, nice views and Rob was an amazing host! Our son loved the dogs and the addition of the fairy lights was a very nice experience. Would definitely recommend and we will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tonimbuk Farm with two off grid caravans. Rob & Leanne were very friendly and accommodating and the campground was perfect for us and our friends to relax and take in the atmosphere so close to home.
The fire pit was amazing and firewood ordered of terrific quality and quantity. Will be back for sure!

Beautiful property set amongst the Bunyip State Forest. Camp site we were on was set in front of a scenic dam with an abundance of bird life to watch. Hosts were great to meet and chat with. They provided free firewood for our evening fire in the provided firepit, a nice touch.

Loved camping next to the dam with the horses on the other side. Their dogs Max & Scout were very happy to see new friends.
Rob and Leanne were great hosts…nothing was too much trouble and Rob was always prompt in replying to questions. Directions to the property were clear and informative.

We really lucked out finding Tonimbuk Farm. I would class Rob and Leanne as super hosts. They are friendly, welcoming and so hospitable . They go out of their way to ensure you have a great experience. The paint and sip in the paddock was fun (even the men had a laugh!!), The campsites are great and some campers were lucky enough to see a platypus in the dam. We will definitely be back soon and look forward to seeing Rob and Leanne again!
