Chris & I are campers ourselves, so we know how nice it is to have a quiet and private spot all to ourselves, however before long you have people on top of you at caravan parks or at free camping you may experience the doof doof music until god knows what hour. So we offer exclusive private campsite all to your self, we only book one group at a time. Pitch your tent or camper surrounding our picturesque dam with 3 jetties, a boat shed and walking track along dam. As you will be the only guest, the peace and quiet property feels like no one is around you as you are approximately 200 metres from the main residence but not too far to walk to the laundry with toilet for your convenience. Throw in a line to catch a silver perch, bass or get the kids to catch some yabbies, they are great cooked up with chilli & garlic. Our property joins onto the Neerim East State Park for those walking enthusiasts or we can accommodate your horse in our yards should you want to explore the bush with many tracks directly from the property. We offer drinking water and toilet accessed from house. Neerim South is home to many wildlife and expect to see many bird species, kangaroos, deer and the odd wombat trailing through.Pitch your tent or camper near our picturesque dam with 3 jetties, a boat shed and walking track along dam. Whispering Gums
Whispering Gums was a great spot alongside a dam with beautiful scenery. Having the place to ourselves was awesome and our hosts were very friendly and welcoming! The toilet and hut are bonuses!

We are absolutely coming back!!
Came to camp for one night with my partner and Susan and Chris were absolutely fantastic. Beautiful beautiful people to match the absolutely exquisite land that we camped on. The site is far enough away from the main house that we felt secluded but also close enough that it was an easy walk to the toilet; even at night!! There is so much land around you to explore and so many walks and sights. I managed to forget to pack proper kindling and firestarters but I felt safe enough and comfortable enough with both of our hosts to come and ask for assistance. No matter how badly my anxiety was raging before I got there, I could not have asked for a better first experience camping without the support of my family. Thank you both so much for how incredible you made our stay and give Banjo a big kiss from us both

This is a beautiful little spot and is very quiet and private. Sue and Chris were really friendly and super helpful with local area recommendations, firewood, drinking water etc. A lovely place to camp for families.

Easter camp
Susan and Chris were excellent hosts, they were extremely welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we had the best time. The kids absolutely loved interacting with Amy the horse and Banjo the cutest puppy ever!! The large dam and hut were fun, unfortunately we didn't get any yabbies this time (probably too cold) but the kids loved trying. We will definitely be back again sometime in the future.

Whispering Gums
Had a wonderful family get together at Whispering Gums. Just the perfect Hipcamp. Set in gorgeous rolling countryside by a magical dam, only an hour and half from Melbourne. Sue was the perfect host, checking in daily that all was good. We loved the hut and fireplace by the dam. Great bird life and so peaceful. Suitable for our 18ft caravan. Can highly recommend Sue’s home made jams and chutneys. We’ll definitely be back!

Sue and Chris were great hosts. There was a huge paddock we could set up in next to the dam. It was very private and we had an amazing view of the stars at night. We even managed to catch a few yabbies. Be aware that most of the paddock is sloped, but there are a few flat spots to set up. The toilet is a short 2 minute walk up the driveway.
