Weekend Trip to Tonimbuk Farm

Upon arrival, we were met by Robert on a tractor who came to greet us with 3 friendly dogs in tow. There is a Welcome Sign with your names on it, therefore, directions are easy to see where you should be. There was even a campfire pit stocked up ready to go, along with a Starter Kit supplied. These things were a really lovely touch we thought. This spot is absolutely picturesque by the Dam and the pictures most definitely don't do it justice. It's a superb view to wake up to in the morning, sit by the sun in the day or by the campfire at night. After a chilly evening, we woke to a variety of birds singing in the morning, to the ducks frolicking in the water, even a platypus surfaced for a visit in front of the firepit to look at us. The whole experience was absolutely peaceful and relaxing. The Hosts are super friendly and go above and beyond what you'd normally see with Hosts, so that felt really special to us. We really look forward to returning with our two teens to go fishing in the Dam or to stay at the Creek Site to see how that one is. Thankyou Robert and Leanne. Bless!

Loved our stay at this hip camp site - the Platypus site was small and private with the best views of the water and the jetty. Jana was a great host, checked in on us to make sure we're settled in and if we needed anything. We felt very welcome. We didn't brave the kayaks as the weather is a bit cold, but looked like a lovely option for warmer weather. Campsite is a bit slopy but we found good options to pitch our 4 person tent. We loved our stay, we hope to be back in the summer to make full use of the lovely creek and the kayaks.

Weekend Trip to BBQ's of the World

10 friends booked both sites 6 and 7 for Anzac long weekend and huddled around the camp fire next to the creek (site 7). We loved the tranquility and had an adventure going to the Narracan waterfall (watch out for the brambles). There were also Al pacas in the next paddock to our camp site which were very entertaining. Easy and fun drive from Melbourne. Trent and Matt were friendly hosts and we loved our stay.

3 nights at Shiprock Farm

It was great! We had such a great time camping at Shiprock. The facilities make the stay so easy. The shower felt like luxury! And the kitchen and undercover area made it much more enjoyable as it rained for a couple of hours on one of the nights we were there. We’ll be back!

Weekend Trip to Inverloch - Bunurong Country

Brooke’s land is such a beautiful location. It’s lovely and flat making it so easy to set up, the surroundings are peaceful and lovely to look at. And the attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. There’s a tree swing, which was the highlight of our daughter’s stay, as well as other outdoor games, a picnic table, a fire pit and rubbish bins provided. We’ll definitely be visiting again :)

A lovely campsite amongst lush farmlands. It was nice to wake up to the sounds of the country (such as cows, roosters and kookaburras). A beautiful campsite on the dam. A few flat areas for tent camping, but vehicles and camper vans will likely require levelling. A great campsite overall, we hope to come back one day! Thank you to Sue and Chris for being such great and welcoming hosts!

My partner and I stayed at the kangaroo flat and absolutely loved that it accommodated all our needs. Adrian fit us in last minute which was great as we really wanted to take our dog away for the weekend. Highly recommend for anyone who wants the camping feel without any of the uncomfortableness that can come with it. Bed was very comfortable, and the flat was very clean.

Our lovely sanctuary of Peace is just 1 hour East of Melbourne along the M1, (and then only a couple of kms off the M1). Situated in West Gippsland, Casa Cucina is a feast for the senses from the alpine majesty of the Baw Baw Plateau, the Bunyip State Forest, the lush green valleys, to the rivers and streams… there is always something to do in West Gippsland for the curious. Further exploration in the area may include Gumbuya World, Nangara Reserve, Noojee and Neerim South. The Tarago River backs onto our small yet spacious, open yet shaded space we would welcome you to. The river is ‘swimmable’ (at your own risk), a lovely spot to cool off on our warm summer days, or a mesmerising place to sit, watch, read, contemplate, draw or write. It awakens the creative juices to be in such beauty in nature. Some large old Mountain Ash remain along the river bank, with lots of new plantings. It is not uncommon to see an echidna, a variety of stunning birdlife, and on dusk, maybe a wombat family. As we only take one booking at a time you will enjoy exclusive use of this peaceful space. A maximum of 4 vans on River block and 2 on adjoining paddock, in one group. Our river block can hold up to 4 caravans (under 10 metres) and a couple of tents in one group (one booking). In addition, the upper adjoining block can accommodate 2 caravans. This is a single group occupancy site so you can enjoy the privacy of your group. If you wish to hook into our powered site, please add $10 per night, per van. Tarwin Lower Eco Studio

Tarwin Lower EcoStudio is not far out of town and the Tarwin River (4 kms), for boating, paddling and fishing. We run about 30 sheep who are looked after by "James" the pet Alpaca. We also have a newly established seasonal wetland project in the making. Port Albert is steeped in history and a visit to the maritime museum is absolutely worth the time. The Alberton Hotel provides a courtesy bus if you're after a counter meal and drinks. Tarra Bulga National park is close by and provides some magnificent walks. Wilson's Promontory is a great day trip. And of course, there is always the famous Port Albert Fish and Chip shop. Well-behaved dogs welcome on leash.

We recommend tents/swags. 4WD with Heavy trailer is still very hard to enter when it is wet. Guests will have access to a toilet throughout their stay. You can walk from my house to Noojee Heritage Centre, Trestle Bridge, Alpine Trout Farm, and Noojee Hotel for a delicious pizza, Cool beer from tool sheed and coffee from red duck cafe. Horses sometimes graze the paddock and poo is picked up but if you're lucky you might find some remnants! No wild party groups, please! We want you to have a fantastic time but please respect the peaceful surrounds, our neighbours and us (your site is a hundred metres from our home, on the other side of an orchard, and we have small children), so please keep the noise down after 10pm. Sorry but no pets, as we have stock, horses and our own dogs and they may not mix well.
