3 nights at Mountain Views

Ryan has a lovely property that’s in a fantastic location. The rope swing was a big hit with our kids. There’s a few options of areas to camp, all of which are lovely, some are bigger than others. We camped at the back of the property behind the dam and it was very private. Be sure to bring ramps etc. To level your caravan. The camping spots are not very level but we managed fine with some ramps. Overall a wonderful stay!

Fantastic location, camping a few metres from the river, surrounded by wild life and some elusive marine life. Although less than 10 minutes to Noojee the location is quiet, surrounded by bush, and Keren and Mikey make you feel very welcome.

4 nights at Organic Farm & Riverside Camping

This Hipcamp has a lot of things going for it. It’s well maintained with mowed grass and mulch placed over any areas prone to mud. It’s peaceful and fairly private. The two sites are barely visible from one another due to some bushy trees between the two. We camped in the smaller of the 2 sites and we had ample space for 2 campers. We plan to come back here again in the future as it was such a beautiful place to stay. For bird lovers – the site is often visited daily by chatty kookaburras, crimson rosellas, eastern yellow robins, yellow-faced honey eaters and one inquisitive bassian thrush. Downsides – Nearest Telstra or Vodafone reception is 5-10 minute drive into town. Access to campsites via a 50m decent down a narrow bumpy dirt road which may be too challenging for large caravan rigs. Recommend checking with Keren before booking.

Although we didn't get to meet Steve, he has a lovely well kept property with lots of level places to pitch a tent or position your caravan. Really enjoyed our quiet and relaxed stay with everything you need all close by. There is power and water available at the shed, but it may be necessary to bring your own extension lead and hose with adapters.

We loved our first tent camping experience with our 1 year old, the site was secure and enclosed which was great with a roaming baby and pets, water and power were available, if you need a shower youll need to bring your own powered one otherwise at East Beach Geelong the public showers are heated until 10am. Daisy was really nice and accomodating to any of our requests. We were able to have a fire pit using our own wood, and for 3 nights we only needed 8 logs. The pool wasnt accessible to swimming at this time of year as the weather didnt permit. The area was quiet, serene and other guests we met were really lovely. This spot is 25 minutes from Barwon heads and its beaches, which is one of our favourite areas and your not too far from shops and the esplanade if you feel like being social. We will be coming back again.

Great stay at Steve’s place. We were at the back of property and we had loads of space. Great and safe for the kids and we had Milo the dog to keep us company.

Gorgeous spot by the river and open paddocks. We were lucky to have almost full moon and a fog blanket. Other campers on the adjacent property were slightly noisy all in all a very relaxing place

Absolutely loved our two nights at Keren’s place. Magical spot on the creek, no phone reception so was a great way to disconnect.

1 night at Camping on Coppards

Steve is super friendly and helpful. He met us at the gate at 8pm after we'd come off the Spirit of Tasmania and got us settled and had a lovely chat. The site is a 1 acre block on the edge of Geelong only about 20 minutes from the ferry. It's nice and flat and easily accessible for overnighters like we were but also has longer term visitors for weeks (or a family we met there had been using it as base for a couple of months! Our dogs also got the treat of being able to play off lead with Steve's dog and another guest's dog as the property is fully fenced and, as long as all the doggos are getting on and being supervised, it's fairly relaxed. I'd recommend this as a great overnighter befor or after the ferry but also as a base to explore Geelong.

We stayed at Sambar camp, a quiet, secluded spot next to the creek. The stay was exactly as expected, owners were friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. Sites were all very well maintained. Quite a steep dirt road to exit the property, so would definitely recommend 4wd if you're towing a camper, or in the wet. Will be staying again!

We had a lovely stay at Riverside. Such a peaceful spot with plenty of space. The river was lovely to sit by during the day and the fire at night. Plenty of things to explore around the local area and a couple of nice pubs nearby too!

Beautiful little spot. Very peaceful. Slight drizzle didn't worry us as the lovely grassy grounds kept from making everything muddy. Dogs loved it. Little creek ran alongside our campfire...heaven!

Great spot for the night. Steve was super helpful (we needed to wash out van and ended up having a few maintenance issues - he was very kind and helpful lending us a ladder, setting up a hose etc). Peaceful, quiet. Would definitely stay again.
