Beautiful spot on a sweeping bend of the Murray River not far from the spectacular Hume Dam. This campsite is situated on a working beef cattle, lamb and merino wool property is only 14km from the major border cities of Albury-Wodonga. It is home to a diverse range of wildlife with over 100 species recorded on the property including wetland birds, platypus and the endangered squirrel glider. The farm has been run by the same family since 1919 and, as the 4th, 5th and 6th generations on the farm, we are honoured to be able to share this wondrous space with you! You will enjoy seclusion whilst only being a stones throw from Lake Hume and the major centres of Albury and Wodonga. You'll have the ability to swim and fish in the cool Murray River water or just relax under the century old shady river red gums whilst reading a book or enjoying a drink.
There are countless attractions in the local area including the Rutherglen Wine area, historic Beechworth, alpine resorts and the high country of North-East Victoria, just to name a few. These are all within a day trip.

As a regen ag farm, we focus on healthy soils, thriving pastures, and low-impact cattle grazing. By camping here, you’re directly supporting the regeneration of this unique landscape.

It has been a few years since we stopped hosting campers at Samsons Gully, but we're back and looking forward to meeting new and old friends.
Samsons Gully is a working cattle farm nestled in a stunning private valley. If you are after peace and tranquillity this is where you will find it.
We have a national park on one side of us, and the Cudgewa Creek flowing along our front boundary. The property is perfect for mountain biking, bushwalking, fishing or just plain relaxing.
The favourite camp site is on the banks of the Cudgewa Creek. However, there are plenty of places to camp in the bush for those wanting more seclusion.
Samsons Gully is a perfect base to explore the Upper Murray. 20 minutes away is Corryong where there is an IGA, service stations, dump point, Dr and hospital, pubs and cafes. 10 minutes away is the Cudgewa pub who do dinner Wednesday through to Sunday evenings.
Our property suits fully self contained campers only as there is not toilet or shower. Dogs and horses are welcome but must be well behaved and kept close to your camp site as this is a working cattle property.
Due to council regulations we can only open one site up at a time. This ensures that your time here will be exclusive, peaceful and private.

We had a great time camping by the creek. It was very quiet and plenty of space for everyone. Damien was very helpful and friendly. The creek was a nice spot for little kids to play and cool off and the dogs liked being able to run around in the fenced off paddock. Highly recommend staying when you need to book a long weekend or other busy times. Stress free camping for everyone.

We loved the fact that there is one camp site and one group only, this provides seclusion and privacy and if you have active dogs they can run around and occupy themselves without upsetting anyone else or the land owners livestock.
The aspect and access to the river is also very good.

Such a beautiful spot, and a privilege to be able to camp on this land. It was so private and perfect for our pup, she had an absolute ball! Elle and Mick were so helpful, wonderful hosts! I’d definitely recommend this for a private and romantic getaway, only stayed the 1 night but wish we stayed longer!

Murray River Seclusion was a wonderful peaceful experience. Having not been off grid properly before we were so happy with this little piece of paradise. Elle was a delight to deal with and we loved swimming in the fresh clean river!! We also loved seeing the occasional tinny go past for their fishing adventures! We were also delighted to hear they only allow one caravan/van/camper at a time on their premises.
There is an abundance of bird life that we loved spotting and we also saw several wombat holes, and what I think was a Platypus swimming around in the river. Thoroughly recommend this beautiful spot!!! If you find yourself without supplies there is a petrol station come general store (includes beverages for the over 18's down the road on the Victorian side of the bridge!!

Great spot by the river. Quiet, peaceful and calm. If you’re in a Van, park on the shoulder of the road and walk over and open the gate first. It’s not well marked but it’s quite obvious and allows you access more easily. Plenty of room here, and lots of ways to camp.
For us this is what Hip camping is about - people sharing access to properties you otherwise wouldn’t get to see. The river is fast flowing and clean, we watched people fishing quite successfully. Close enough to Albury to be away from the hubbub and zero traffic noise. Highly recommended

STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL PRIVATE PARADISE!
Perfect isolated, peaceful absolute riverside location to wind down and take in the best of what nature offers. Bonus was they only take one visitor at a time so we had the whole place to ourselves! Access to free firewood on the property too which was wonderful. 100 percent recommend! Elle was wonderful and responsive too!
