Carole was a friendly and generous host. I was given wood, eggs, oranges, spinach and even a salve for my sprained ankle. My camp site, situated at the bottom of their back garden, was right on the creek and felt like a bush setting. Plenty of animals -peacocks, geese, goats, chooks, to see, but not unfortunately the elusive platypus. But they did set up a TV documentary on platypus for to watch at my convenience. Definitely recommend their Farmstay.

We had a blast tent camping at the Mansfield Lake campground with power, including our furry babies (Polly and coco) Booking was a breeze, and the customer service was top-notch. From the Hicamp website to the host, everyone was super helpful. The bathrooms and restrooms were spotless, and the hot water was a huge bonus! We also loved watching the sunset over the beautiful lake. We're definitely coming back.

We had a lovely stay on Carole and Peter's land. They were extremely warm and generous. The kids loved the animals and all the birds. It was great to camp next to the creek and we got to a quick glimpse of the platypus! Would absolutely recommend camping here with kids.

The camping area was clean and good. We purchase a fire pit also which kept us warm during the night. Toilets were ok. There was a laundry room and kitchen sink to do our dishwashing. Only issue you got separate taps for hot and cold water.

Good value, no frills campground. Easy automated check-in process, friendly hosts. Ameneties are a little dated, but perfectly usable. A couple of minutes walk to the McEvoy Tavern, Victoria's smallest pub, which was worth a visit.

This site is a rare gem! The campsite is right next to a beautiful river and set amongst established trees which give plenty of protection and carve out the individual sites. We happened to be there right as Autumn set in so the trees were particularly spectacular. We booked a powered site and it was next to one of the fixed cabins, so felt cosy. The facilities are brilliant too - great camp kitchen and the amenities blocks are clean and modern. On our last night the owner walked around to all the sites to introduce himself and check in on how our stay was - which we thought was a very considerate touch. Can't recommend the Tawonga Tourist Park enough - we will absolutely be back!

Carole and Peter are lovely hosts. We stayed at Camp 1 which is a little nook down on the creek. We couldn't see the other camp from our spot but the main homestead is close by. The facilities are a short walk away (closer to Camp 2) and were clean with a camp kitchen, shower, drinking water and toilet. We spent 3 nights by the fire watching the stars, and days by the creek under the trees watching the Birdlife (so many birds in that corner! Take your binoculars!) Sadly, we didn't see the resident platypus but we did see the Rekali which was a first and very exciting. Expect to meet the resident animals! We had visits from goats, sheep, dogs, peacocks and chooks! A lovely weekend. Thank you!
