We had a great time camping at Bushy Ridge, it was easy to access and having running water was great. There was already a fire pit on site which saved us from packing one more thing. We are seasoned campers but it was a great way to comfortably introduce the little kiddos. Will definitely stay again.

Weekend Trip to The Village Green & Pavilion
Had an amazing couple of days at Village Green. My partner, dog and I stayed in Glamper Wings for the Easter weekend and it was the most perfect place for us who had been wanting to disconnect from the busy and chaotic life in the city. We loved that the glamper came with everything we needed - a kitchen, smart tv, shower, etc. My favourite spot was the balcony - perfect for reading and having a glass of wine while getting yourself soaked in the quiet of nature. There was also a ridge walk trail we headed to from the site, and if there's something I wished we did differently is to get up early to do the hiking when there is more time before it gets dark. I loved knowing the history of the place where Village Green now stands on and seeing how the traditional owners of the land were acknowledged in some parts of the property. We wish to go back.

Fabulous site with everything we needed. The camp shelter, log seating and clean composting toilets were just perfect. The site itself is beautiful, open, nicely mowed and so serene. Rob is a great host - super nice guy and responsive and helpful. Definitely will be back. Thanks so much Rob!

We had a great time at Melissa’s property, the site was very large & with the added benefit of electricity and water, this was a huge luxury! The spot is very private and had plenty of space and options to set up camp. The site & property was also immaculately clean. The scenery around the amazing with plenty of wildlife about, saw plenty of kangaroos, kookaburras, birds and some foxes. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at Bushy Ridge!

Nestled in the valley of a 1000 hills and on the land of the Taungurung people, this little patch of hilly heaven is home to a small family of farm animals, dog and their two owners. With its rugged natural beauty, amazing sunsets and starry skies, it was hard not to want to share its beauty with others. The property is the gateway to Murrindindi, has power and water for campers, a dam if you enjoy yabbying and perfect for intimate, small groups. We offer a flat campsite and ridge top campsite. Low gear and 4wd preferable during very wet months. NOTE: Campfires subject to fire restrictions at over summer, please message. Our secluded, flat campsite is surrounded by unspoilt bushland and is home to a multitude of native Australian animals. Our ridge-top campsite also features beautiful bush, and some amazing views. With over 50 acres of rugged hilly bushland, no neighbours in sight and tracks to explore, this is the perfect place for those who enjoy a challenging bush walk, privacy and a sky to watch the stars. Campers are required to be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Bring the family and friends for a secluded and private wilderness experience surrounded by 60 acres of forest. This totally separate wilderness camping paddock sits within our organic permaculture farm property where we grow fruits, veggies, nuts and flowers.  Set up camp in the shade on a gently sloping 2 acre paddock all to yourself - that's right - we are offering only one site listing (for you and up to 23 guests) situated about 1 km from the main farm house and completely surrounded by forest.  A genuine wilderness experience with forest (tree) bathing, spring fed creeks and total peace for you and your group very close to Melbourne. You can hopefully spot our resident platypus and kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, wombats etc. There’s also abundant bird life including lyre birds and eagles. Explore all the Yarra Ranges has to offer including a short walk to Shiprock Falls. Grab a coffee or pizza in nearby Gembrook and checkout some farm produce from your hosts before you leave. We have added a composting toilet, a drinking water tank and a bush pole shelter with cold water kitchen sink, phone charger ports, lights and hot water to a private shower and a picnic table with seats under cover.  We have an adjacent fire pit area with tree log seating.  You can order firewood from us too and a Coleman gas cooker with gas bottle (see extras). Most of the materials are repurposed from another property or scavenged from our forest. We hope to see you soon.
