The 35-acre property offers views of Quamby Bluff, and various options to explore and relax. Find yourself a nice quiet spot, where you can enjoy peace and quiet. Although we take several bookings at once, you are guaranteed a secluded nook, there is plenty of space.
Choose a wood fired hot tub site beside the creek or choose general creekside camping beside the creek. Imagine star gazing from the hot tub of an evening, whilst keeping your eyes peeled for the resident platypus in their natural habitat! Firewood is provided for the hot tub, you may buy wood on site for your individual campfires. The hot Tub is not for wild parties, but to relax and view the native wild life, quietly watch the platypus in their natural environment.
Please note, we accept one camper trailer/caravan per booking. If you are traveling in a group with multiple caravans, you will need to book multiple sites - but will still be able to camp close together although we dont allow big noisy, disruptive groups anymore! The property has good access for all types of vehicles.

Access height has been raised to 3.7meters. Pine Ridge has been developed over the years to be a natural park land with a good variety of local vegetation including stands of mature trees. lower scrub has been removed for physical and viewing access and to keep the property more secure and manageable. The vegetation also provides significant protection on windy days compared to many other open places. Native animals and birdlife abound the location. There is a community pergola area beside the substantial water hole which has a small jetty allowing easy access for swimming. There is also a stone barbecue and fire pit area available on suitable weather conditions.
There are ocean views from the property's main road areas, which also provide a large area of flatish firm ground with large areas providing easy maneuverability and turning.
The property is 2-3km from the main highway turn off that leads to the Douglas Apsley National Park. The corner of the property is only 50 meters from the park edge, with the Parks main access several km further along Rosedale Rd. The turn off is only 2 km from the town edge. It is sealed road except for the last 100meters and in good condition.
FIRES. Ok unless a fire ban. GOOD BAGS OF WOOD ON SITE FOR $20. NO OUTSIDE WOOD CAN BE BROUGHT ONTO THE PROPERTY AND BURNT. I HAVE TRIED TO MAKE A MIDDLE GROUND ON THIS ISSUE BUT UNFORTUNATELY SOME HAVE ABUSED THE FAIR RULES SO THIS IS NOW THE SITUATION.
NO FORAGING GROUND WOOD WITHOUT ASKING ME AND GETTING APPROVAL.

Welcome to The Bush Circus. This is where I love to play and I welcome you here. All the deets you may need are listed here so read careful. Of course you can contact me if you can't work something out.
You arrive here at the bottom corner of the property on Slab Rd where there is a place to park cars around several large gum trees. There is a very short walk through bush on manicured trails to one of three dedicated camp sites all of which is sign posted. There is also one RV spot at the car park. Toilet is located within a short walk from each campsite.
All sights are reasonably flat and they all have a campfire. Please feel free to pick up twigs and breakable sticks to create a fire. If you want firewood it is $1 per piece and you can put this into the tin at where the firewood is collected.
RV Spot- This is marked out as a section on the car park area. There may be some other cars near you but these are for the campers.
Holy Tree Camp- The first sign takes you to this camp. You will see the tree with the burnt out base. Suitable for a small to medium tent.
Tall Tree Camp- Second sign leads to here. It is adjacent to the tallest tree on the property. Small to medium tent.
Octopus Tree Camp- Look up. You will see how it gets its name. Small to medium tent.
This is a small property and if you get lost just follow the tracks you will find the camp you have booked.
There are two toilets. Toilet one is for number 2's and toilet 2 is for number 1's. Just to make it confusing. All signposted but message me if you can't work it out.
The circus area is not available for campers. Please contact me if this area interests you.

There is a boat ramp on the other side of bay approximately 5kms away.
There are shops and cafes just down the road at Adventure Bay.

The Little Garden Farm is a small farm with a private and exclusive Campsite - The Woodlander. The Little Garden Farm is a 100-acre forest and pasture farm that we began improving in 2023. The property is located at the base of Bruny's Isthmus, enjoying cool sea breezes in summer and mild temperatures in winter.
The Woodlander Campsite is set in our bottom forest paddock, next to a dam, with a seasonal winter creek. It is private and peaceful, with no other campers, houses, or nearby neighbours. We welcome travellers, with up to two vehicles, who are here to enjoy the peace and quiet (no parties please).
The campsite has its own separate access, site toilet, solid picnic table and chairs, firepit and and is approximately 600 meters from where we live. Next to 70 acres of forest the location is great for birdlife, with many of Tassie's endemics around, and other wildlife abundant after dark. We are always happy to help with birding or wildlife tips!
Based approx 5 minutes from Alonnah and 10 minutes from Adventure Bay, the "Woodlander" is central to so much of what Bruny Island has to offer.

The village of Meander is 4 kms away offering a wonderful cafe , where the staff are friendly and the hamburgers , coffee and cakes are fantastic.
As we have no facilities on our farm yet, so we ask that all campers must be fully self contained, with their own toilet , water and power.

We are 15mins to Port Sorell, Bakers Beach, Narawntapu National Park, and House of Anvers Chocolate Factory. 25mins to Devonport, 1hr to Launceston, 1.5hrs to Cradle Mt and surrounded by attractions from Berry Farms to Wineries and stunning farmland.
This is a beautiful natural campsite on land near our home. You'll need to have your own power, toilet/shower and leave no trace.

Rivers Edge is 24 acres of forest on the banks of the Leven River in Gunns Plains, Tasmania. We are in our own little valley surrounded by tall forests. Preston Creek flows all year through our property and meets the large Leven River where your campsite is situated. Perfect for trout fishing, platypus watching, bird watching or catching the sun setting through the trees on the river bend. There are even the endangered black fresh water crayfish.
The site is large enough for up to 5-6 caravans for large bookings, and we only take one booking at a time, so its exclusively yours.
We are only 20km to the nearest town, Ulverstone which as everything you need.
The road is close by the campsite with easy access to find the property. No toilet facilities at the site. Sat TV is good and limited mobile reception. Telstra works best we've found.
River access over a rocky, uneven embankment as it's a natural, untouched environment, just how we and the native animals like it.
Campfires ONLY PERMITTED when fire restrictions aren't in place. You absolutely must make sure your campfire is fully extinguished before you leave.
Please check "My Trips" (in your profile) for directions once confirmed. Look for the 'Rivers Edge' sign on the entrance gate, then you know youve got the right site and not the neigbours property (which is along side mine on the river)
Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept with you at all times, no roaming dogs as the road is close by.
We love the peace and serenity here so please no unruly behaviour or parties.

Bookings are for two adults; children under 16 are free. It may be possible for larger groups to occupy one site - please enquire before booking.
As the site is teeming with wildlife including the barred bandicoot, we don't allow dogs.
There are NO FACILITIES on the block so campers must have their own toilet. This is VERY important to note before you make a booking!
There are good meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van.
We only make provision for two campsites so you'll never be crowded.

The plot is nearly 3 acres and is earmarked conservation land and surrounded by neighbouring conservation land. This is your perfect lunawuni/Bruny Island escape! It is tucked away from the no-through gravel road and surrounded by Australian bush and wildlife with filtered water views of D'Entrecasteaux Channel and 100 m from the beach.
It's a tranquil heaven yet so close to all the famous Bruny sites and must dos:
Bruny oysters, beer and cheese (why not bring some to the campsite to enjoy?)
The Neck, Truganini Lookout + penguins!
Cape Queen Elizabeth Track and other hiking trails
Adventure Bay and *white wallabies
(*we give you a map on where to go to find the white wallabies!!)
South Bruny, and the Light house
When you book our site, you have it all to yourself! Except for sharing it with the wildlife, of course.
As the name suggests, there is a family of quolls living on the land and you are very likely to see them! Once dusk arrives and the stars start lighting up the sky, the quolls usually come out to say hi before they start their night activities. Joining the quolls, are the potoroos who are not afraid to come up close and sniff your feet in curiosity. If you are yet to see a quoll and a potoroo in the wild, this is your campsite!
Other wildlife includes the endangered Forty Spotted Pardalote and critically endangered Swift Parrots.
To access the beach, simply walk through the property to the end of the plot and follow the path. There is an echidna living near the road so keep an eye out for her.
The campsite is a perfect spot to see wildlife, and birds, and for photography.
On the campsite is a large outdoor kitchen with two sinks. Wait... is there a bathtub? Yes! The bathtub is great for a bush shower (byo solar shower) as the taps are not connected.
You must bring your own toilet.
Rainwater is available too, we have two tanks!
Campfires are allowed but you cannot collect firewood on the property. Please bring your own firewood or add it at the time of booking and we will provide you with firewood for your stay. The land is a conservation area and quolls are known to live in up to 5 nests. They live under the logs and it is an important habitat for the species. We love the quolls and know you will too so please do not disturb their homes.
The site is excellent for stargazing once nightfall arrives. Simply BYO a hammock (we have prepared the setup!) and lie down to watch the stars with a glass of red or a hot chocolate.
We recommend campervans for the site and it's only suited to self-contained campers leaving no trace behind.
Available on-site and free to use are also a director's chair and a table. The kitchen is also equipped with a double sink, dish rack, two buckets, BBQ tools, cutlery, and a dustpan. There is also a cleaning kit with biodegradable spray, hand sanitizer, and soap. There are also a set of caravan/van leveling ramps and chocks for you to freely use.
The site is perfect for those wishing to find privacy amongst an otherwise busy Island. Escape the tourists and experience Bruny Island like a local.

Huckaway is a little camping oasis just off the Tasman Highway. Green pastures are bordered by forestry land to the East and a river to the South. Go for a bush walk through the forest, a swim or fish in the river, you might even find a trout!
This property is the perfect location if you are here to enjoy either the Derby trails or the St Helens trails with some of the shuttles going straight past the front gate! St Helens is a 15-minute drive away and The Bay of Fires is 30 mins.
The wide camping area has plenty of open flat space to park any type of caravan or van. Park down near the river, or tuck yourself in beside the forest, up to you.
All campers need to be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, and we kindly request you take all your waste with you. There is a dump station in St Helens.
Well-behaved pets are welcome also! Please be mindful that dogs do not chase the neighbours cows and please pick up after them.
Please always be mindful of ours neighbours and their animals, they sometimes have cows and sheep grazing on the property. Please do not use their water taps.

Mountain River itself is a small river flowing from the back of kunanyi and joining the Huon River near Huonville. There are swimming holes in the river for the brave… it’s very cold!
Campsites are located on the riverbank, near the home or further afield.
Caravans and large Motorhomes cannot be accommodated. Rental vans - Apollo /Maui etc, are fine.
This is a great base for exploring the entire Huon area, from the nearby mountains to the Hartz Mountains, Hastings Caves, the Tahune AirWalk, and even the end of the road in Australia at Cockle Creek. All of these are possible as day trips.

We had a wonderful time on Nigel's property. He was a considerate and thoughtful host. We appreciated the opportunity to set up camp on his land. Rolling green paddock, beautiful gum trees and close to a beautiful beach.

Ladybug camp is a chilled relaxing getaway, with limited or no phone service you can switch off and enjoy the serene environment, short walks to the waterfalls and follow the stream hunting platypus.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The camp was extremely beautiful and very relaxing, we even saw a platypus. The plung pool and Sauna was amazing. We would highly recommend this Hipcamp.

What a set up! Well done Aaron and Amanda on such a Beautiful camping spot by the river! We had the whole place to ourselves so got to explore at our leisure. Love the fire pots and the rock painting idea. The paddock mushrooms made a delicious breakfast 😋 The bird life is amazing. Can’t wait to go back and spend more time. Woodlander is an idyllic camp. You have the whole place to yourself and the safety of a locked gate.
Rachel and Ben have done a brilliant job of creating the perfect camping area. From the Hobbit Hut to the ultra-safe warmth fire stove. Even in the wet there is enough rubble and gravel area to avoid most of the mud. The composting toilet is clean and mostly odour free and has a clever solution to keep the door closed despite timber expanding and contracting with the weather. Rachel and Ben were very friendly and helpful. Highly Recommended!

We loved our stay at Nigel's land on Bruny Island. Views of the bay were magical. Very peaceful and quiet. Could have a fire when weather allowed you. Plenty of room for a any size van. Easy access into property and Nigel was very welcoming.

What a gorgeous spot, it's so peaceful and the wildlife is amazing. Even spotted a platypus in the river.
James was the perfect host and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend.

What's not to love.
Set on a beautiful river. Abundant native bird life.
Nature's finest animals, including a platypus.
Fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble with excellent communication skills.
And the whole camping area to ourselves and doggos.
I'll be sure to try the sauna and cold dip in the pool next time.

We had our own stream which was magical!

Ladybug is a fabulous camping spot. Quiet & secluded camp sites immersed in nature with great little waterfalls & creek. The hosts, Peter & Kim were the best. Answering questions pre arrival & introducing themselves. Highly recommend Ladybug if you want your own space & being surrounded by native bush.
