The campsite is situated on the beach, sheltered by the sheoaks in the back dunes. At the rear of the campsite lies a freshwater lagoon, locally known as the keyholes. Currently, there are four sites available to be booked. There is a camp kitchen with a two gas burner, all pots and pans, plates and cutlery with table and chairs to sit at. There is also a big esky there to use for either your food or drinks. Fresh water is provided in twenty litre drums. The bush shower works on the keg being heated up just like a kettle. Once it is hot then a nice warm shower is to be had to wash off all the salt from the ocean. There is also two compost toilets for your convenience. A unique feature includes the opportunity for surfing, fishing, and swimming in your private lagoon. A short drive will take you to Point Lookout. 10 minutes and you are at the pub mixing with the locals. Access is via the beach only and tides are a consideration. Please check "Point Lookout tides" on Willy Weather. I don't normally travel on the beach if the tide is over 1.5 metres. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is required. Camper trailers can be brought in as they are light. Caravans are not permitted due to the tight turning circles.

Tall trees provide shade, and the grounds are home to plenty of wildlife, especially birds. We’ll assign you a site and let you know on the day. Please arrive before dark, as access to some sites can be difficult in the dark. We have firepits for use when fires are permitted, and we sell dry firewood if you’d like to toast some marshmallows. Welcome to our 9 acre Hobby Farm Stay. The Farm Stay experience is what we are all about, we welcome you to experience the joys of farm life, meet the horses and join in at feeding times and egg collecting. Or, if you just want to relax under the mango trees, we totally get that too :) Our geese and ducks and chickens are hand reared so they are not aggressive at all 😃 We have two Sausage dogs, Ockie and Arlo, they love to visit campers. If you aren't doggy people perhaps this isn't the campsite for you. Please keep your food and rubbish up high so the doggos and other critters don't help themselves Please keep in mind that this Hipcamp is a 'Farm Stay', on a working property which is also our big back yard. Your privacy is assured, however, if you're looking for total seclusion, this may not be the Hipcamp property for you. A grassy flat tent site is tucked away shaded by trees. Powered Caravan site is also grassy and flat with a large area for kids to play. If you choose to set up in the open away from the trees the house will be in sight (45m away), but we live a quiet life and respect your privacy. The property is on the Brisbane River, the site offers river glimpses however there is no river access. Suitable for tents, campers trailers, caravans and RV's. We are close to the CBD so the site is a great option for a 'shake down' for your new caravan or camper trailer. If you're new to camping this is a great place to ease into a lifestyle that offers so many opportunities further afield. You won't have to share the campsite with other campers, you will have the spot all to yourselves. Supermarket, bottle shop, takeaways, cafe and pharmacy less that 4 km away. Campfires are permitted. Firewood is available as an 'extra' for $20, please go to 'extras' to add to your booking alterantively purchase on arrival. Power (10amp) and drinkable water is available close to campsite. You must bring your own camping toilet. Daily water usage is included, however long range water tank fill ups incur a one off extra fee of $10, please include this in your booking under extras. We have a no dogs policy because our dogs Ockie and Arlo are great with people but totally anti-social with other dogs. In regards to Service/Assistance Dogs, it is not our intention to discriminate against you, your disability or your dog, however, we would have to keep our Sausage dogs indoors where they would bark incessantly making it a misery for all, so we recommend you seek an alternative camping venue. NB: The site is not suitable for parties or large group gatherings.
