The rainforest Treehouse is situated in a rainforest pocket of the Mount Warning Caldera, completely surrounded by lush and vibrant nature and sheltered from the outside world, while being just 2 minutes away from us and the comfy road that will take you to an amazing swimming hole, cafés and the nearby town.
Once you enter the Treehouse private drive you will feel yourself being transported into a magical world of gently flowing water, natural light, tall trees, chirping birds, rustling leaves, crickets, and frogs.
You will notice the energy shift into the safe embrace of our land, protected by Springbrook Mountain.
The location of the Treehouse was chosen by our then young children. We all fell in love with the magnificent camphor laurel tree growing at the edge of the seasonal creek.
We all found ourselves drawn to that place, so with the help of our friends and our children we began the project of manifesting a dream into a reality - the dream of living in the tree canopy.
As we worked on the Treehouse, the design was constantly changing. The whole family, especially our youngest son, contributed to the manifestation of the dream. During that time we overcame many obstacles and found solutions to build in the tree. It was an adventure, a lot of fun and we learnt a lot.
It became a dwelling for our kids for a period of time, until they grew up and left to conquer the big wide world.
Now it is here for you to enjoy, to reconnect with your dreams, to dive deep into your childhood playful memories where the world of fantasy and reality merge together.
Here you can just be yourself, embraced by nature and view at the world from your Treehouse verandah.

We are also proud of our very special Red Cabin with its magnificent mountain view. it has been created with dedication and love. And again it is thanks to our daughter this time. She has found the perfect spot for you so you can immerse yourself in nature in the shade of lovely trees, taking flight with the eagles above Springbrook Mountain, lifting up and rejoicing life. The vibrant tantric red colour of the cabin will fill you up with new energy and freshness. it is supplied with clean, luxurious linen and towels. The daring bathroom allows you to bask in a bubble bath while enjoying your favourite beverage watching the stars. That beautiful experience will be enhance by the symphony of the surrounding nature.
The cooking and dining area is set up for your highest comfort and equipped with everything you need.

Our sites are completely isolated from town, with views and not visible from the road. Sites are set among nearly 100 acres of a mix of open land and rainforest. Multiple natural springs exist on the property and a few small spring-fed waterholes are scattered down the cascading hills. Friendly ducks, geese, fish, horses and an abundance of native wildlife live here. This location is home to several endangered species due to being one of the last isolated pockets of rainforest in the area.
Sites are part of The Bush Clinic where we specialise in designing and making natural creams, soaps, teas, dodorants and other products as well as running regular Meditation courses and topics such as Energy, Frequency, Grounding and Advanced Organic Growth techniques for those wanting to join in are formally available during your stay.

Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot!
The Stonesthrow Bush Camping sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Some sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. THESE ARE THE ONLY SITES THAT CARAVANS CAN ACCESS.
The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites.
Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent.
We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top.
Due to insurance considerations, no 'day visitors' are allowed unless they have an approved Hipcamp booking.
We are a Leave No Trace campground - ensure what you bring in, leaves with you.
All camp fires must be fully extinguished with water prior to departure.

We have 5 designated campsites positioned around the property. Within the designated sites, there are camp spots that we rotate.
Please check with us to see what ones are open. We need to rotate the sites and rest them. This is how we keep them well-maintained and looking amazing. If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots.
We pride our self’s on having a lovely property and want you to have an amazing camping experience.
If it is bad weather, we will recommend another site or you can change dates.

Once you enter the Treehouse private drive you will feel yourself being transported into a magical world of gently flowing water, natural light, tall trees, chirping birds, rustling leaves, crickets, and frogs.
You will notice the energy shift into the safe embrace of our land, protected by Springbrook Mountain.
The location of the Treehouse was chosen by our then young children. We all fell in love with the magnificent camphor laurel tree growing at the edge of the seasonal creek.
We all found ourselves drawn to that place, so with the help of our friends and our children we began the project of manifesting a dream into a reality - the dream of living in the tree canopy.
As we worked on the Treehouse, the design was constantly changing. The whole family, especially our youngest son, contributed to the manifestation of the dream. During that time we overcame many obstacles and found solutions to build in the tree. It was an adventure, a lot of fun and we learnt a lot.
It became a dwelling for our kids for a period of time, until they grew up and left to conquer the big wide world.
Now it is here for you to enjoy, to reconnect with your dreams, to dive deep into your childhood playful memories where the world of fantasy and reality merge together.
Here you can just be yourself, embraced by nature and view at the world from your Treehouse verandah.

She has found the perfect spot for you so you can immerse yourself in nature in the shade of lovely trees, taking flight with the eagles above Springbrook Mountain, lifting up and rejoicing life. The vibrant tantric red colour of the cabin will fill you up with new energy and freshness. it is supplied with clean, luxurious linen and towels. The daring bathroom allows you to bask in a bubble bath while enjoying your favourite beverage watching the stars. That beautiful experience will be enhance by the symphony of the surrounding nature.
The cooking and dining area is set up for your highest comfort and equipped with everything you need.

Our sites are completely isolated from town, with views and not visible from the road. Sites are set among nearly 100 acres of a mix of open land and rainforest. Multiple natural springs exist on the property and a few small spring-fed waterholes are scattered down the cascading hills. This location is home to several endangered species due to being one of the last isolated pockets of rainforest in the area.

Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot!
The Stonesthrow Bush Camping sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Some sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. THESE ARE THE ONLY SITES THAT CARAVANS CAN ACCESS.
The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites.
Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent.
We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top.
Due to insurance considerations, no 'day visitors' are allowed unless they have an approved Hipcamp booking.
We are a Leave No Trace campground - ensure what you bring in, leaves with you.
All camp fires must be fully extinguished with water prior to departure.

We have 5 designated campsites positioned around the property. Within the designated sites, there are camp spots that we rotate.
Please check with us to see what ones are open. We need to rotate the sites and rest them. This is how we keep them well-maintained and looking amazing. If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots.
We pride our self’s on having a lovely property and want you to have an amazing camping experience.

The red cabin is so beautiful. Right in a clear running crew that you can listen to all day and night. You can watch the water flow from the kitchen. A beautiful claw footed bath for a long hot bath. The owners are so lovely and friendly. We booked the cabin anda tent site it fit 3 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. The views of the mountains all around and lush green trees is so relaxing. We took a walk around and saw the dam and walked up the creek bed. We even found glow in the dark mushrooms near the cabin at night.

This was the perfect camping spot for us. Totally private at the top of the hill, but close enough for us to walk to Cabarita shops and hotel, Woollies and bars, plus the Beach. Perfect spot!
So peaceful and quiet, especially as we were the only ones on the site.
Great ocean breezes amongst the trees.
Picnic table, chairs, swing and level pad for our caravan was great.
Plenty of bushwalking tracks too.
Will definitely be back!

From the moment we got there, our family felt the connection with the land and nature. An amazing private camp location right beside by the creek. Green grass., crystal clear waters, a swimming hole, and shady trees for those sunny days. Turtles, platypus, eels, catfish, crayfish, an abundance of different birds, plus the chickens a cow (and calf on the way) were all fun for the kids.
There is also a great cafe 5 minutes down the road.
We look forward to coming back. Georgie and her kids are beautiful and amazing hosts. I highly recommend an extended stay at Crystal Creek.

Back at The Swimming Hole At Ferny Glen.
There's just something about this place... peaceful, grounding and so good for the soul. Highlights include being close to Brisbane, having the site all to ourselves, dog-friendly and the creek is so special. Nothing like washing your face in the creek to start your day followed by a lunchtime swim before a lazy nap. It honestly feels like the world slows down the moment we arrive. Highly recommend.

We had a beautiful, relaxing weekend at McKenzie’s Mountain. The paddock was luscious and green, lined with trees and meticulously mowed. There were quite a few other campers but the property is so large that privacy wasn’t an issue at all!
The stunning creek was a huge hit with both the adults and kids. We spent the majority of our time swimming, kayaking and soaking up the beautiful scenery.
We can’t wait to go back again soon!

We had a few days at Stonesthrow Bush Camping, Canungra had everything - creek dips, the world’s friendliest donkeys, horses up on the top plateau, dogs able to live their best off-lead life, and sunrises/sunsets that made us slow right down.
Huge shoutout to the hosts - absolute legends. Warm, welcoming, and the kind of people who make you feel like you’ve been coming there for years.

The campsite couldn’t have been better. The water had a perfect mix of shallow and deeper spots, making it ideal for swimming and canoeing. Waking up to a surprise visit from the cows in the morning made it even more special — the kids had an unforgettable time!

Group trip
We had a great time camping at Stonesthrow. Steve was quick to respond to questions we had and his arrival instructions and directions were excellent. We stayed at the TOS site and it suited our group well. The site was private and very relaxing and clean. We took a hike throughout the farm and enjoyed the challenge of walking to the Top Spot while seeing some other sites that we hope to stay at another time. We are looking forward to returning in the future.

My kids loved this place! The river with all the little fish and turtles were a big hit. We were 3 families camping all together at Tea Tree and had the best time. Make sure you bring your own firewood, water shoes and kayaks or paddle boards.

Great shower ( hot and cold water) with gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains! Not a solo site but other campers are well-spaced. Some passing traffic noise unfortunately. Leanne is warm, caring, friendly and quickly responds to messages. It was nice to meet her on arrival. Lovely spot with easy proximity to Springbrook Natural Bridge circuit and other amazing walks and reserves. Nearby Chillingham village and Tyalgum are worth a visit with the drives affording spectacular scenery everywhere!

We loved our stay over the weekend. Steve and Richard were very helpful. We had a great spot with a loveltly view, we explore the property on foot and we loved to met the horses and donkeys.
We would denifinely recomend and most likely to return in another oportunity. The nature and peace and quite moments were priceless.
Our family had a great time.
