We stayed 3 nights at Big Fig. The site was amazing and Jason dropped by each afternoon to see if we needed firewood or anything else. The amenities are clean and tidy. The entire property is beautiful. Will definitely be coming back again!

Great camp for Hiking enthusiasts. I managed to get to all the hikes in, in one day but would recommend doing it over 2 days instead to not rush. Very peaceful campgrounds with great views. Would definitely come again for the 4WD tracks next time.

Best Hipcamp I have ever been to hands down. Ian was a gracious host and very accomodating. Hope to return in the future. Peaceful, private with loads of pluses. Just be mindful after heavy rain some of the sites are a bit soft, but Ian will offer his help and advice . Very kind people.

Highly recommend staying at Hopevale Adventure Camping. We stayed at Mountain View camp ground which we loved. The place is quiet and very relaxing. Jason stopped by to so hello and we had a good chat about the area. We will certainly be returning to stay again. The amenities were very well maintained. Thanks again for a fabulous stay in a beautiful camp ground.

Weekend Trip to Hopevale Adventure Camping

We camped at the big fig campspot, and loved the privacy and beautiful large tree the kids spent ages climbing in. This site is right next to a seasonal creek, and even though we camped in the dry season, there was still a crystal clear pond with fish and tadpoles which the kids loved. The farm itself is stunning, and the owner was amazing, delivered wood to our camp twice! You can enjoy two hiking trails, although I would suggest some experience before attempting the hidden caves walk/climb. We will surely return.

We stayed two nights at Hill Top Orchard which was exactly what we were looking for a nice serene location to chill for a couple of days. Everything was ideal with Neil meeting us at the gate and taking us to our site. The grass was mowed and the place was spotless. We enjoyed a camp fire looking out into the valley nestled amongst 80 year old avocado trees. We called over to Maleny which was a nice drive and had a coffee before returning to the bliss amongst the trees. Thank you Neil & Joss for opening up your stunning property and allowing our little cavoodle dog to camp with us that was awesome. In summary was a perfect couple of days. Neil always checked in each day to see if we needed wood and for a chat. As strong 10/10 from us. Thanks for everything

Highly recommend this camping spot! Such a peaceful and relaxing place surrounded by beautiful nature and a lovely farm setting. It’s quiet, pet-friendly, and the perfect place to unwind. The night sky is absolutely stunning with so many stars, and the showers are clean and comfortable. A perfect getaway for nature lovers!

Very clean and tidy and well maintained. Amenities were excellent, hot shower and toilet. Amazing views, lovely walks, private and peaceful. Totally immersed in nature, unplug and off grid. Loved every minute and wished we had stayed longer.

Beautiful spot with amazing views of the mountain, the drive was also super pretty with a lot of wildlife along the way. Host was super welcoming and the Little Fig site had a rope swing and the swimming hole was awesome even in winter. Would totally recommend!!

Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main lake that offers great swimming. Site five overlooks the lake and opens into a private bush area. All areas of the property are open to campers to walk through and explore. The farm comprises a series of ponds near the road that are in the process of being renovated for Red Claw Crayfish. There are fruit trees and veggie gardens and chooks around the house paddock. The balance of the land is either grazed by our small herd of cattle and our 2 donkeys or set aside for regeneration. Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues.Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. You won’t ever have to trip over your neighbours tent ropes here. Eco friendly lakefront and near to lake front sites. Please don’t arrive expecting lakefront, our sites are all near to and Depending on group size not everyone will have lake frontage. We can never guarantee requests. We assign sites based on numbers and camping equipment. Furtherest camp spot is approximately 500m from amenities block, however porta loos are located in the remote site but it’s a walk or drive back to the showers. In order to not disturb the wildlife that call the lake their home, we do not allow swimming, fishing or boating on the lake. This is a private battleaxe acreage block with a 300 metre long driveway that leads up to a parking pad where there is space for two cars and is dedicated to cabin parking. The lake, dam and other areas of the property are ungated. Because of this, we respectfully ask that children are supervised at all times when on the property and that you should consider this prior to booking with us.

Hopevale Adventure Camping

The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal. “We have been blessed beyond measure with a small slice of God’s wonderful creation that we would love to share with you.”

Enjoy the Paperbark gum and Balga plant areas and find the hidden baby nature dam where you will be mesmerized by its beauty and serenity. We have been told that it is a great place for contemplation and meditation. Our large dam is home to fish and many native ducks, herons, swamp hens, cormorants, and more. Bird song trills through the forest daily, with flocks of wild parrots in the high trees. Occasionally, goannas and dragon lizards can be seen sunning themselves, and later in the day, wallabies and kangaroos can be seen making their move. Look out for the native brown and green frogs. Bring your kayak and paddle and swim in the large dam. There are great bike trails in the nearby Glenwood forest areas. We offer camping with a difference, providing a special place of rest and restoration with other optional extras, such as healings and readings onsite, alongside other activities like sky watch and fire ceremonies.

It is a very quiet location with 5 dams and 2 that you can swim and Kayak in, the creek is also great to swim and kayak in , free roaming cattle to camp along side with lots of bird life to enjoy . We are only 15min North East of Gympie, 35min to Tin Can Bay, 50min to Rainbow Beach and 60min to the Sunshine Coast, Noosa. We have 7 different locations. ***Powered *** and non powered. 1 hill top location with 5 powered and 5 non powered sites. 4 non powered locations beside the creek with many camp sites to choose from. 2 non powered off road private locations, 4WD access only. ** No toilets or showers and can only be accessed in dry conditions, please contact us before booking these sites. Facilities. We have 3 toilets and a shower with warm water , our water is filtered, but not suitable for drinking, we advise you bring your own drinking water. Camp fires. **Weather permitting** NO BYO, But we do supply. $25 1st day (includes: fire pit, fire wood, fire starter and matches) $20 each day after everything included, All guests must take their waste with them on departure. Things to do nearby. There are many places that you can visit if you feel like a short drive within 15- 60min such as Breweries, Wineries, Beaches, Markets and the old famous Mary Rattler Steam Train. There is also many quite and beautiful small towns to visit, to just sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or have a glass of wine or beer or two. Pop in for a break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and have your own spot along the beautiful running creek and enjoy the peaceful surrounds of nature. Pets. Non barking dog are allowed, BUT must be kept on leash at all times and kept by your side when strolling around, pet waste must be picked up and taken off site when vacating.

Spacious camping for 9 SELF-CONTAINED RV's ONLY, no tents, sorry. Our property is a 100 hectare cattle farm with 1 km of river frontage. Fire pits and firewood is located in camping areas, FREE! This a great spot to KAYAK and wet your line with bass, saratoga, sooty grunter and lots of catfish! Platypus inhabit the river too, so bring your camera. Biking and bush walking are popular with guests. Please note that the river bank is quite steep. We recently had 2 access tracks constructed to the river for easier KAYAK launching. We are pet friendly and welcome SELF-CONTAINED RV campers only (council regulations). Our wetland has lots of bird life with quite a few raising young.
