We offer small group camping or exclusive whole-site booking for Cheriton Bush Camp.
No chainsaws to be used on the property. BYO fire wood or we can supply 15kg for $10. Personal fires permitted but above ground fireplaces must be used. We have a small amount for hire for $5.00 each. Generators permitted between the hours of 7am and 9pm only.
Pets allowed but need to be on a lead at all times. Unisex flushing toilets with non-potable water. Must bring your own drinking water.
We have a Beach Volleyball court, basketball hoop and swing set. Lots to see in the area.
Hillview Drive Mountain Bike Trail and Brisbane Valley Rail Trail are a short walk/bike ride from the property. Canoe/Kayak entry point to the Brisbane river off Kholo Road (5km)

The Magic Pond is a private property, not a commercial business. The land is suitable for self-sufficient campers only. THERE ARE NO AMENITIES, YOU NEED TO BRING OR HIRE YOUR OWN TOILET, WITHOUT ONE YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. No dumping of waste is permitted on the property. The closest dump point is Caboolture Showgrounds (140 Beerburrum Road, Caboolture 4510), which is open 24/7 and approximately 15 km from The Magic Pond.
Firewood is available for purchase.

Quiet, even over the New year.
Huge sites, and easy flat access
Close to Beachmere and shops and only 20-25 mins from Bribie island and Sandstone point.
Sandstone point marina has a toilet dump site so it’s proved to be an easy stay.

I loved the freedom my two dogs had and they also became friends with the owners dog. Played together really well.
The location is fantastic and I loved how close we were to everything Brisbane had to offer.

We loved our stay at the camping ground. We were the only ones there for 2 nights it was exactly what we needed very peacefull, toilets were very clean and camping grounds were kept mowed and tidy. The host Samantha was very lovely and nothing a bother. Would highly recommend staying here. Janine.

Absolutely loved staying here. So beautiful and peaceful, I live in my caravan full time and I didn’t want to leave. Mitch and Holly are both so kind and accomodating. Will be back someday. Absolutely lovely spot right next to the dam. Light breeze most days. Space between campers. Maintained by wonderful hosts who weren't intrusive but did come down to check on us on occasion (we were here in the big supercell storm!) Couple of things to point out to future campers. Is there some machinery and stuff on the property like said in another review, yes. Does it effect your view and experience, NO. This is a working property, not a holiday resort. All equipment is with the owners main house and nowhere near the campsites. And also, bring mozzie spray. Like anywhere near water after dark the mozzies do come out as they always do. It also shares a fence with another hipcamp property next door so there are other ppl around but I don't think it effects your stay as everyone on both sides are respectful of their surroundings. All in all I think this was a gem to discover and we will definitely be booking again. Thanks Mitch n Hollie for their lovely hospitality n opening their home to us all.
