Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp.

Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east.

The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple
guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park.
By using this park you agree to the following rules.
All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed
limit.
Fires must be extinguished prior to departure.
Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all
rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so
the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish.
Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of
2pm to 6pm.
Dogs must be on short leads and confined to your campsite at all
times.
No music or noise after 10pm, noise level must at all times be at an acceptable level so as not to disturb other users.
No stock whips, firearms or weapons of any sort, chainsaws, drones
or fireworks allowed in the park.
No use of detergents, soaps or shampoos in creek.
No washing dishes or clothing in creek.
No hitting of Golf balls.
No cricket with cricket ball (tennis ball ok).
No swings to be tied to trees.
Anyone who is non-compliant may be directed by park management to leave the park and if so must leave without delay. Non-compliance
will be referred to local Police and you may face legal action for
trespassing.
Park management reserves the right to refuse anyone entry to and use
of the park.

Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses and goats. We have goat food for purchase on site. 🐐
The Lower Sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Most of these sites are suitable for 2WDs and some sites are accessible to caravans.
The Elevated Sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by 4WD and require you to BYO sealed, chemical camping TOILET and ensuite tent. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites however NO caravans.
🐾 Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage due to free range chickens.

Welcome to 'Bares Hideaway', a 43 acre property nestled away from prying eyes in a secluded valley along the Liverpool Ranges in Grandchester. We are a short 1 hr drive from Brisbane and Toowoomba surrounded by acres of bushland.
We are a 10 minute drive from Rosewood and Laidley where you will find cafes, supermarkets, fuel and a variety of other things to enjoy.
Our lovely campground will accommodate swags, tents, campers, caravans and motorhomes. Our campground is 2 wheel drive accessible and we have firewood & ice for sale. We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided.
We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions (pls note we have a 9pm noise down curfew. We are not asking you to stop enjoying yourself, just have respect for other campers). Please contact us prior to your event to discuss availability.
Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property.
Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own fully enclosed off the ground fire bin. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed.
Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water.
During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out.
Things to do and see:
The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals, take aways available and friendly country hospitality.
Spicers Hidden Vale is approximately 6km away and perfect for bike riders. It also has a coffee shop, restaurant and walking tracks.
Grandchester scale model rail rides run once a month.
All sites are unpowered. Generators are welcome between 7am and 9pm.

Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended.
Option 2:
From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road.
This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. We do have 2 wheel drives make the journey !

BOATS
Boat launch locations are available for campers at designated areas within the campsite and to comply with our SEQ Water licence:
* No parking within 20 metres of the water.
* Vehicles must stay on the designated road and cannot drive down to the boat ramp.
* After launching, vehicles and trailers must be parked back up the hill within the Pointro boundary.
* Marquees and similar structures must be at least 6 metres from the water’s edge.
* Boats may be moored during the day but must be removed overnight.
Breaches may result in fines from SEQ Water, which will be passed on to the responsible party.
OTHER RULES
* NO travelling in the back of boats, trailers, jet skis being towed
* NO travelling in the in the back of utes.

Wander through the syntropic garden and admire the seasonal fruit, cast a line and try your luck at fishing, or—if you’re quiet and lucky—spot a platypus gliding through the water. Kayaking, abundant birdlife and bushwalks ranging from scenic trails around Mt Lion to the gentler Mt Lioness, there’s something here for every level of adventurer.
Cool off with a paddle or swim in the refreshing creek, then gather around the fire to relax with family and friends, soaking up the serenity under the stars as the sun sets behind Mt Lion. Fire pits are provided, firewood is available for a small fee, and simple drop toilets are on site.
For basic supplies or a great coffee, Wiangaree is just 10 minutes away, with Kyogle only 20 minutes away for everything else. The Border Ranges National Park offers countless tracks and trails to explore—discover waterfalls, swim in pristine streams, or enjoy a scenic 30min rainforest drive to the breathtaking Pinnacles Lookout.

Christmas Creek Bush Retreat enjoys absolute creek frontage on the banks of the crystal clear everflowing Christmas Creek. Perfect for kayaking, floating on an inflatable lounge or swimming in the warmer months or to simply watch and listen to the rapids. The property boasts 160 acres with camp sites situated on a large flat well maintained grassy paddock, all sites look out to the creek and mountains beyond.
Easy access for 2WD and 4WD vehicles with plenty of room to turn around.
Campers MUST be fully self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities. Porta-loos are available to hire; however, they do work out quite expensive, unless you are in a group and share the cost. Toilet hire is $200 for your stay. Please message to book a porta loo.
Please place all waste in bin provided. Please ensure all waste is bagged. No large items such as gazebos or mattresses to be placed in the bin provided.
Dog friendly, however ALL dogs MUST be on a lead at ALL times and picked up after.
Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits ONLY. Personal fire pits are NOT to be used. May be subject to fire bans.
Situated a 1/2 hour drive South of Beaudesert, following the signs to Rathdowney and turning onto Christmas Creek Road that veers to the left. 26kms along the very picturesque Christmas Creek Road and you arrive at a little bit of paradise in the Scenic Rim. So much to see and do in the area, a short drive to the Lost World Tourist Drive and Tommerups Dairy to name a few. Further along Christmas Creek Road takes you past the Christmas Creek Cafe and onto Lamington National Park and bushwalks to the Stinson Memorial Crash Site and Larapinta Falls. So much to enjoy in the Scenic Rim.

Bindarah Downs offers easy access to our 4 acres and 3 levels of open and shaded, creek frontage. Only 15 mins from Rathdowney, close to Maroon Dam and several National Parks.
Each site accommodates one set-up; e.g. one caravan, one motorhome, one camper trailer etc. Please make a separate booking if you have multiple camping set-ups.
The creek offers campers cool waterholes to swim in on a hot day and picnic tables to enjoy your meals.
Hang your hammock, lay back and enjoy the tranquil setting and cool breeze while the kids ride their bikes.
Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.
Children 16 and under stay for free but please let us know they are coming.
Campfires are welcome but must be kept contained, you can help yourself to any fallen timber on the ground but please do not cut any trees. Pets are welcome but must be kept restrained at night and must not disturb any of the wildlife or livestock.

Our 1000 acres mountain top working cattle and horses farm is only 45 minutes from Brisbane CBD, and offers spectacular Glasshouse mountains and ocean views.
You can bring your own self-contained camping set-up, be it a tent, caravan, or motorhome, or stay in our bunkhouse that sleeps 10. Activities on the property include hiking, swimming, canoeing, horse riding and more.
From many parts of the farm you have beautiful views encompassing Maleny, Glasshouse Mountains, Bribie Island, Moreton Island, Stradbroke Island, Redcliffe, and Brisbane Port Site.
We have a beautiful deepwater lake that's perfect for swimming and canoeing. The property is traversed by several rainforested creeks and ravines, which are perfect for adventure hiking and rock climbing.
We can also take you horse riding around the farm for a couple of hours or to the local winery if you prefer a longer ride. We cater for all levels of riding.
We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to anyone with the swag, tent, camper, caravan, or motorhome. You must be self-sufficient, with your own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste when you go.
For those who prefer the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV.
Linen is not supplied.
If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View Rd - do not go that way - go through Dayboro Rd.
For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants less than 10 min away.

Wonderful creekside campsite. Friendly helpful hosts, well maintained and peaceful surroundings. Campsites have plenty of room and We were fortunate enough to come on a quieter weekend so we had no one camping on the sites next to us. The dogs enjoyed having extra some extra space to run, swim and play off lead. Can’t wait to try the eggs we bought. Freshly laid that morning. Had such a great weekend that we have already booked our next stay.

Absolutely loved our stay at Lions Creek Camping! Such a beautiful and peaceful spot with a lovely clear creek surrounded by lush greenery. The private camping area was spacious and gave us plenty of room to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
The owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful, which made the stay even better. They also have organic eggs available definitely worth trying, they were absolutely delicious! 🥚😍

Beautiful place to stay! Arrived with intention to stay one night but ended up staying two. Running creek was beautiful, had a swim and spotted some catfish, and some turtles sunning themselves, no platypus this time though. Well maintained camp grounds and toilets. Caretaker was lovely and polite and full of information for our trip. Even had a couple of stubby coolers for us to purchase as souvenirs of our time there. You can purchase wood for campfire, but a little expensive so suggest to byo. You can hear the road and train line occasionally, but it didn't concern us at all as the view was just so relaxing. Easy access for campervan, not all areas level, but we found a nice spot right above the creek. Would highly recommend this Hipcamp.

Dingo Hill is a must see if you are heading through the region. Some of the best views in the scenic rim.
Gogo is a perfect place to set up a base camp for a few nights if you want to explore some of the near by parks, trails and towns.
My girlfriend and I unfortunately only had a chance to stay for one night, but Ron was a fantasic host, very welcoming and keen for a chat.
We will absolutely be back!
If you can manage to line it up on a clear night with a late moon rise, the view of the stars will not dissapoint!
