We enjoyed our camp here. Very peaceful, the sound of the running water and birds was amazing. Jody was a lovely host and went out of her way to accommodate us to find a suitable sight for our tent. There is beautiful swimming holes around the area but the weather was not on our side, will have to ho back to enjoy that.

This is the most amazing hidden gem. Definitely returning and bringing friends and family. Hosts are super friendly, facilities are great, but most importantly the camp sites themselves are excellent. Well-shaded, lots of space, beautiful animals and wildlife. There is a stream for the dogs to swim in, long off-leash walks, picturesque countryside. I leave with a much more peaceful soul than when I arrived. Can’t rate highly enough. Thank you.

Stonesthrow is a rural property in the Illinbah valley, nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, with council approval for limited camping (4WD only - leave no trace). So if you want to escape the crowds at public campgrounds, your privacy and enjoyment are assured! We are NOT a 4WD adventure park so vehicles must be parked up at your site on arrival and left there unless leaving the property to go to town/tourist activities. Any exploration of the property or travel to toilets is strictly on foot only- NO 4WD'ing. Anyone driving around the property will be asked to leave. We have sites both near the creek and facilities and up on the plateau. Our elevated/remote sites require capable 4WD's with off-road/AT tyres and campers need to be fully self-sufficient including having their own sealed chemical camping toilet and an ensuite/privacy tent. If you don't have your own commercial chemical camping toilet then you will be given a choice of sites with access to facilities. We reserve the right to view/verify your toilet before allowing you access to the elevated/remote sites. Caravans are restricted on where they can access- with no guarantee of sufficient sunlight for solar. Elevated/remote sites cannot be reached with a caravan- please bear this in mind if booking with a caravan. Well behaved dogs are welcome as long as they are on a lead when moving about the property. Please let us know if you wish to bring a dog and you will be allocated an appropriate site as some areas of the property are designated 'dog-free' camping zones. The common area (old shearing shed) has composting toilets, communal fridge, microwave, jug, drinking water, sink for washing up and table/chairs. There is 500 m of (shallow) creek frontage, kms of walking/riding trails and grassy creek flats for recreational activities. Over the decades, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses. There is also a variety of fruit trees and plantation timber. Please note that arrival must be in daylight hours with sufficient time for orientation, travel to your site and set up before dark. Sarabah Stud is a beautiful cattle and farming property with access to Canungra Creek. There's resident platypus in the creek and great spots for swimming. Located approximately 40 minutes from the Gold Coast and 1 hour to Brisbane CBD. There are several beautiful swimming holes just below where we encourage guests to swim. Children 5-16 are $10 per night (please include with booking), and kids 4 and under are free (no need to include in booking, just let us know they are coming). Toilet available. Please note we do not provide toilet paper. Remove all rubbish. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Access is 2wd but we recommend 4wd when raining or wet conditions or contact us for track condition . Pets are not permitted.

With a dam, tracks to explore, a running creek to fish and frolic in, and plenty of wide-open spaces to rest and relax. Our Creekside sites are in a large open paddock with creek frontage, near the road and readily accessed with 2wd vehicles. Or we have campsites in an elevated position which offer more privacy but do require a 4wd. Campers must be self-sufficient and have their own toilet - we have no facilities here. Campfires are permitted in designated areas and you can buy firewood from us. Note: There are facilities available in town including hot showers and toilets.Dogs are welcome but must be kept restrained.

The property was first settled in the 1840’s and became the headquarters of Tamrookum Station in 1878 when Robert Collins and his family purchased the property. Just over an hour from the Gold Coast and Brisbane. At Logan Park Farm we have camping grounds and Murphy's Country Accommodation - a three bedroom cottage. Search for "Murphy's" through Hipcamp. Scenic Rim Regional Council Camp Ground Licence Acc21/0010. There are no facilities here, if you do not have toilet facilities please do not book any of our sties. Please arrive to camp prior to dark. Message host if you need to arrive later. The camp sites are spacious with plenty of distance between each site - no crowds. Each site is for your group only. Open for bookings for Christmas and New Year - numbers are limited. No large parties. We prefer to promote a quieter area. Beautiful sunsets, mountain views, birds and quiet surroundings. Enjoy the stars on a clear night. Explore the beautiful Scenic Rim area from here. Visit the historic Tamrookum All Saints Memorial Church. A large natural lagoon and the Logan River provide opportunities to relax, swim, fish or kayak. An abundance of Carp and Tilapia provide great fishing opportunities at the Lagoon or the Logan River. Children aged 12 years and under no charge (please do not include them in your numbers when making a booking) Pet friendly off-grid camping. All sites are unpowered. No motorboats or motor bikes. No parties - this is a quiet camping area please keep noise including music to a minimum level. Please respect our wildlife, our neighbours and your camping neighbours at all times. Enjoy our large camp sites with family and friends. Noise travels easily in the evening please reduce noise by 9pm. Larger groups welcome on some sites please message hosts. Firewood available, either book through Hipcamp or purchase direct at the farm. Tamrookum Store is 2 kilometres away for general goods, fuel and take away food.

Bordering Springbrook National Park there are plenty of hikes and walks nearby to satisfy exploratory vibes. Otherwise, you can just sit back and enjoy the beauty, peace and quiet of this little slice of paradise. We can also offer many optional extras for private group bookings (large tents/marquees, generators, wood-fired hot tub, sauna, guided farm tour, paddock-to-plate produce etc). The income generated from Hipcamp is used to continue to manage, maintain and regenerate the site.

Warrill Creek Camping

170 acres of paradise located in Tarome, just 8 minutes from Aratula and the Cunningham Highway. The campsite is best suited to those chasing a quiet, private area to enjoy the best of nature along with unbelievable mountain views. The property is the home base for a grass fed beef business with a sustainable focus so whilst you will share with some beautiful cows and calves, the secluded(and fenced off!) campsite is private and serene. Tarome offers some of the best views of the Main Range and Cunninghams Gap, all of which you can enjoy from the site. The sunsets here are spectacular. The Warrill Creek runs through the property, adjacent to the campsite and is home to an abundance of wildlife and vegetation all of which you are welcome to explore. The creek runs seasonally and makes a beautiful swimming area, but is just as enjoyable when dry allowing for a great path to explore the area. The site is only a short drive off the main road so the property offers an ideal spot for short stopovers, or alternatively use it as a base to explore the rest of the Scenic Rim. The abundance of walking, hiking, fishing or biking opportunities in the area are endless, or if you are more into relaxing into some food tasting and wineries then you’ve hit the jackpot. Just an hour and a half from Brisbane CBD! In lieu of camping with nature there are no amenities and limited service with some providers, but if you are chasing something in particular please let us know. We are happy to help. Two kayaks and red claw pots available for guests to use in Somerset Dam. Water access 2 mins away via prior arrangement through Camp Somerset. Or public day areas, The Spit and O'Sheas crossing around 10mins away. One part of the gravel driveway is steep, so a vehicle with some clearance is advised. ***All campers need to be self sufficient with toilet and shower. Dump point in nearby town.*** (Or portaloo available to hire via extras when you book) Fire pit available and fire wood available for a $20 fee with your booking request. A pile will be delivered to your camp site, which is more than enough for 1 or 2 nights.

Our very own 4WD park offers plenty of easy to medium tracks for those wanting to gain confidence, as well as enough hard trails to test the most experienced 4WDer. All tracks follow historic banana and logging tracks with an easy ridgeline track boasting 360-degree panoramic views for those just wanting a bit of offroad experience without testing the limits. NO unregistered vehicles or motorbikes are allowed on the park and we have a zero alcohol policy whilst using the 4WD trails. We are a family friendly park so will not tolerate hooning or bad behaviour. We are a working farm, so as much as we love dogs we cant allow them on our farm. We love welcoming people to share in the beauty of our farm and explore all it has to offer through agritourism adventures. The Bush Clinic, Hinterland Retreat

Our sites are completely isolated from town, with views and not visible from the road. Sites are set among nearly 100 acres of a mix of open land and rainforest. Multiple natural springs exist on the property and a few small spring-fed waterholes are scattered down the cascading hills. Friendly ducks, geese, fish, horses and an abundance of native wildlife live here. This location is home to several endangered species due to being one of the last isolated pockets of rainforest in the area. Sites are part of The Bush Clinic where we specialise in designing and making natural creams, soaps, teas, dodorants and other products as well as running regular Meditation courses and topics such as Energy, Frequency, Grounding and Advanced Organic Growth techniques for those wanting to join in are formally available during your stay. We are new to HipCamp so have limited facilities at present, but they are in progress and we have loads of space per site, comfortable, and lots to offer for those wanting to reconnect with Nature. If you know what ley-lines are - this is the right place to visit ;-) PS if you are towing a van or camper pls remember to engage 4wd at the front gravel gate (low range 2nd is best). This helps avoid chewing the road up...
