Welcome to my Hipcamp! Beautiful camping area situated next to the Elliott River. 10 minutes drive to Coonarr Beach, Coonarr Wildflowers and Kinkuna National Park. Amazing Stargazing! Just a kilometer up the road from our site, you'll find a charming Dog Motel. Please keep in mind that the noise from the dog motel isn't a nightly occurrence, making it difficult to predict specific nights when it may be more active. However I've noticed that campers in caravans generally have a more insulated experience and are less affected by any early morning barking. If you prefer a quieter spot, I make it a priority to assign campers the farthest firepit, Camp 4, nestled deep in the bush, providing you with a peaceful retreat away from any noise. Additionally I'm delighted to offer electricity to all camps, ensuring your comfort and convenience during your stay. Whether you choose a campsite closer to the amenities or opt for the tranquility of Camp 4, rest assured that you'll have access to electricity. While the dog motel may occasionally add a touch of canine charm to the soundscape, I'm confident that the overall experience at my Hipcamp will be an enjoyable one. The kitchen includes plates/bowls/cutlery/knives/mugs/glasses/frying pans/pots, there's a toaster/kettle/microwave, a big gas BBQ with a hotplate and BBQ utensils/tongs etc. There's also camp ovens and a jaffle iron. Guests can also enjoy access to an outdoor bathroom with a shower, toilet and a beautiful claw footed bathtub! Pets are welcome, but the yard is only partially block fenced. So any escape artists would have an easy time absconding. Only a 10 min drive to Tin Can bay and 15 mins to Rainbow Beach - and a Woolworths/bakery/bottle shop 5 mins down the road. THINGS TO CONSIDER: Unfortunately we can only accommodate tent/camper trailer bookings and not large motorhomes or towed caravans of any kind. Flooding does occur during rainy season, roughly January to April, which can make the site and area inaccessible. Please check/consider conditions when booking and in the lead up to your stay. During the months of September and October we have nesting birds on the property and swooping can be issue and something to keep in mind if any of your group have an aversion to birds.  As per Hipcamp rules/insurance policy, there must be a person over 18 years old on site with any under 18s during the stay.

Easily accessible property with flat areas for camping and or caravans. Front of block is well grassed with some shade. You walk down through some dry rainforest towards the back of the block which fronts onto Coonarr Creek. There is a small fire pit and also a large one which can be used when it’s the right conditions I.e not too windy and or dry. There is a toilet, shower and camp kitchen if necessary. The block is located very close to the boat ramp where you can launch canoes, kayaks,sup’s and small tinnies. The block is also a 5 minute drive to beautiful Coonarr Beach, which is suitable for swimming and fishing. Coonarr Creek is also suitable for fishing either off the bank or from a craft. Kangaroos are some of the resident wildlife and are often seen around the property and adjacent areas. Located approximately 20 minutes from Bundaberg city and all other attractions in the area. Recommended to bring personal insect repellent and or coils etc.

Welcome to my Hipcamp! Beautiful camping area situated next to the Elliott River. 10 minutes drive to Coonarr Beach, Coonarr Wildflowers and Kinkuna National Park. Amazing Stargazing! Just a kilometer up the road from our site, you'll find a charming Dog Motel. Please keep in mind that the noise from the dog motel isn't a nightly occurrence, making it difficult to predict specific nights when it may be more active. However I've noticed that campers in caravans generally have a more insulated experience and are less affected by any early morning barking. If you prefer a quieter spot, I make it a priority to assign campers the farthest firepit, Camp 4, nestled deep in the bush, providing you with a peaceful retreat away from any noise. Additionally I'm delighted to offer electricity to all camps, ensuring your comfort and convenience during your stay. Whether you choose a campsite closer to the amenities or opt for the tranquility of Camp 4, rest assured that you'll have access to electricity. While the dog motel may occasionally add a touch of canine charm to the soundscape, I'm confident that the overall experience at my Hipcamp will be an enjoyable one. Beautiful and secluded paddock at the back of our house on one and a half acres, located in Cooloola Cove. PLEASE READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING. A perfect spot to explore the area and a jump off point for K'gari/Fraser Island. Amenities include: fire pit (bring your own wood), camp oven cooking pit, full BBQ kitchen in the fully powered shed with huge commercial fridge and running/drinkable water. The kitchen includes plates/bowls/cutlery/knives/mugs/glasses/frying pans/pots, there's a toaster/kettle/microwave, a big gas BBQ with a hotplate and BBQ utensils/tongs etc. There's also camp ovens and a jaffle iron. Guests can also enjoy access to an outdoor bathroom with a shower, toilet and a beautiful claw footed bathtub! Pets are welcome, but the yard is only partially block fenced. So any escape artists would have an easy time absconding. Only a 10 min drive to Tin Can bay and 15 mins to Rainbow Beach - and a Woolworths/bakery/bottle shop 5 mins down the road. Please let us know approximate arrival times when possible, and any arrivals after 7pm, by prior arrangement. THINGS TO CONSIDER: Unfortunately we can only accommodate tent/camper trailer bookings and not large motorhomes or towed caravans of any kind. Flooding does occur during rainy season, roughly January to April, which can make the site and area inaccessible. Please check/consider conditions when booking and in the lead up to your stay. During the months of September and October we have nesting birds on the property and swooping can be issue and something to keep in mind if any of your group have an aversion to birds.  As per Hipcamp rules/insurance policy, there must be a person over 18 years old on site with any under 18s during the stay.

1 night at TerraLyra Sanctuary Retreat

A pleasant overnight stop while making our way south to Brisbane. Our stopover was on a Monday with very few people on site, so plenty of places to choose from for us and our van. A 4WD to access the secluded sites would be recommended as it might be tricky getting out if you had any rain as the trek out is relatively steep, grassy but steep. We camped next to the dam and went to sleep with the sound of frogs chatting which is quite soothing and made for a good night. The camp ground is far enough off the “Bruce Hwy” which made for a quiet night and no street lighting is a bonus as well. Highly recommend this place and we will be back again.

Me and my mate loved staying over at the campsite even though if was only a long weekend. Too short in my opinion hahah. The campsite is well-kept and cleaned, no issues with rocks or twigs getting in the way at the main site. Came with a nice barrel campfire with heaps of fire-wood stashed near the tree. We never used it but aside they have a great little under-cover set-up with a barbecue, working fridge, a couple power-ports for anything you may need, and the amenities block is great. This campsite is great for couple day trips, to even longer stays with having the essentials you'll need. Small families and groups would go perfectly here. Love the star guest that peeps around every so often looking for some attention, Mouse is such a beautiful dog, and very soft/friendly when she pops around. The couple living at the farm are great to talk with, we enjoyed our stay a lot and do plan on making another in the future.
