Enjoy wide open spaces with magnificent views. You will also have access to the facilities at the Ironbark Barn which include a pool table, television, kitchen and bar area, and hot shower and toilets. The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, BBQ, dish-washing station and rubbish/recycling facilities. IMPORTANT; DO NOT BRING FIREWOOD ONTO THE PROPERTY IF YOU ARE IN A FIRE ANT ZONE. Mountview has bags of good quality iron-bark timber for sale. Please note to hook up to power you will need a lead of at least 30 meters. 15 amp power is supplied. Weekend Trip to Emmaton Park & Sunset Cottage

One of the best camping experience we had. Campsites are evenly spaced. Liza greets you and is very responsive to questions. The host, Jim, treats you like family. He is a very warm host. He gets to visit you and see how you go. He also is very sharp and friendly. Even explained Emma is the name of one of their pups and get to name the place Emmaton. Hot and cold shower is available. Toilet is clean. Campsite is clean. You can pitch a tent or rent on of their cottage. Watching NRL Grand Finals with Jim is very memorable. Definitely going back again to Emmaton park. See you soon Jim!

Emmaton park is a super lovely place to set up camp. The amenities are super accessible no matter where you set up on the campground, with the flat ground makes it easy to get to. The birdlife is wonderful and so are the starry night skies. A super pretty place to escape to from the city. Liza and Jim are very helpful, kind and generous hosts who are happy to help out with anything you need and were super hospitable. Would come again.

Amazing host... Sharni and Graeme and their grandson are the best host you could ever asked for. Very accommodating and helpful. Graeme and the grandson Jax and Jacob welcomed us from the gate and lead us to the campsite. The friendly farm animals were also a big bonus. My son enjoyed this time playing with Jax and Jacob. Cant thank enough for their hospitality.

We absolutely loved our stay. The camping area is so beautiful and so well maintained. The amenities are top notch - clean and modern with 2 flushing toilets and a hot shower. The kids loved riding their bikes around and hanging out on the big swing looking out at the view. The sunsets did not disappoint here. Fire pits are provided and fire wood is available to purchase. The barn was great for the kids to hang out and play pool or do arts and craft. Katrina was welcoming and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax. With maximum 4 camp sites there really is so much peace to be had at Mountview. Thank you Katrina, for a lovely stay and a trip to remember for our family.

3 nights at Mountview Farmstay

Just had the pleasure of spending 3 nights at Mountview Farmstay and didn't want to leave. The rural views in all directions are stunning - including magic sunsets. Nothing beats watching a sky full of stars while relaxing around your own camp fire. It's obvious how much effort has gone into creating an atmosphere of rustic charm for visitors with the repurposed old barn, working windmill, and old trucks and farm equipment strategically scattered around the camping area. Host Katrina is also warm and welcoming and really cares about making sure guests enjoy their stay. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying in this part of SE Qld.

We enjoyed our time at Mountview, the views were great and the kids enjoyed being out and about - the swing, pool table and spotlight were winners. The fire pit got a work out - we cooked damper, toasted marshmellows and baked banana/chocolate/marshmellow splits for dessert. The amenities were lovely and clean, and only one other camper each night - so pretty private. Nice and close to Toowoomba - a great little stop if visiting for The Carnival of Flowers.

Very beautiful and private camping site just around 1 hour to Toowoomba. Ken welcomed us at the entrance and help us settled down. The toilet and shower were spotless clean and the water was very hot! it just a bit windy and cold at the hills, suggest bring warm clothes.

Fig tree camping was lovely! Very much enjoyed a little getaway at Ken and Ruth’s place. Amenities were great and Ken was super friendly and accomodating when we needed to change dates. Stunning spot, very well looked after and can’t wait to come back. Thanks Ruth and Ken!
