Gypsy cabin is a boutique off grid cabin usually reserved for family and friends now available to hire to the public for couples, small families and campers. The cabin is situated privately on our hobby farm with the company of cows, chickens, dogs and ponies, dogs are permitted upon request. The cabin is cosy and self contained, it is a single bedroom, single bathroom, with walk in shower, toilet and filtered drinking water at the vanity sink. It also has a convenient kettle, toaster and BBQ area, the cabin has a queen bed but we can include a mattress for the floor for children, tents and caravans are also welcome in the guest paddocks. Guests are welcome to feed the chickens, ponies and cows, and collect the eggs from the chicken barn. Enjoy the serenity and silence of the country with a fire in the extra large fire pit!

Welcome to GG's Ranch & Retreat Camping area, a unique farm escape on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Is is the perfect place to base yourself and explore all the beauty that the Sunshine Coast Hinterland has to offer. We currently only offer one campsite so you will have plenty of space and privacy during your stay. There is a number of walking tracks on the property and a large billabong where you can enjoy swimming and other water activities. There are Geese who often visit the property who you are welcome to greet and feed. We also have an abundance of bird and wildlife who visit the property and have even been lucky enough to spot a Platypus in the billabong. Our property is home to a number of Horses and we offer Horse based activities for an additional cost (see our extras) so you can meet them and learn some basic horse riding skills. We are just 15 minutes from the popular Eumundi Markets and 30 minutes to Noosa main beach.  The site has power and water for your use but you are required to supply your own camping toilet (Please note if you arrive without a toilet you will be asked to leave) and remove all rubbish waste on departure. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and under owners control at all times. Campfires are allowed in the fire pit provided and firewood is available at a small additional cost. Please keep your site clean and tidy and respect the natural environment and animals at all times.

With a spring fed lake at your doorstep that supports a host of wildlife, including a family of platypus, this is the perfect location for a hinterland getaway. Wake up to beautiful lake and garden views from the master bedroom and living area, and enjoy breakfast or drinks and dinner on one of the two cabin verandahs. Guests are welcome to walk around the property or picnic by the lake. During warmer weather, take refuge under the cover of a shady tree in the small gully below. The cabin has everything needed for a romantic getaway or simply time away from the pressures of everyday life. Within walking distance of local wedding venues makes this a convenient choice for those also attending weddings. There is a full kitchen with breakfast goodies provided for your first morning with us. Relax with a book, play games or watch a movie. On chilly winter evenings, rug up by the outdoor fire pit or snuggle up on the couch inside. Immerse yourself in beautiful gardens while listening to the wildlife. In the early morning and at dusk, platypus can be spotted on the lake. Unfortunately, we do NOT allow any weddings or events. Please respect this. Guests are welcome to stroll around all areas of the property, but will be limited to accessing the area of the property where we reside in the main house at the back of the property. In order to not disturb the wildlife that call the lake their home, we do not allow swimming, fishing or boating on the lake. This is a private battleaxe acreage block with a 300 metre long driveway that leads up to a parking pad where there is space for two cars and is dedicated to cabin parking. The lake, dam and other areas of the property are ungated. Because of this, we respectfully ask that children are supervised at all times when on the property and that you should consider this prior to booking with us.

Karen and Nick are great hosts and went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay during what was very wet weather by offering the use of an indoor shower and toilet in one of the vacant cabins which we greatly appreciated. The property is located in a central location to many of the great walks and views in the region. We would certainly recommend it as an ideal location to camp and explore the region.

Peace and tranquility on your doorstep. Arrived with ease thanks to the excellent map and information provided by Glen. We were then left alone, and this beautiful place was ours to enjoy, with no long chats with the owners. This I really enjoyed! Access to the Mary River was so easy and the views above the river at our campsite were amazing. A paddle in the water and a swim for the dog was just what we needed. Wood for the fire pit was provided and the stump seating area under the trees to enjoy the fire was amazing. Yes, you can hear the works of the quarry in the very distant background, but hey…that makes the roads we drive on 🤷🏻‍♀️. We will definitely be back to enjoy this pet friendly camp ground and feel very special to have the use of someone else’s Eden.

We had a nice stay at Dragonfly Cottage Off-Grid Getaway. The location is peaceful, secluded, and surrounded by nature. It’s close to the Mary River for a swim or paddle, and Kenilworth is just a short drive away if you need supplies. The cabin is cozy and well-equipped with the essentials for a comfortable stay. The bathrooms were a nice surprise—more luxurious than you might expect from the rustic exterior. If you're after a quiet retreat, this is a good spot to switch off and unwind.

Please note: Off Grid Stay - Yeates Road is the only access to Porfiri Rd and the campsites - NOT Stokes Road or Range Road - Porfiri Road (in places) does not do well after heavy rains! So please advise me of your vehicle type in your booking. - Small low profile tyres, sedans and hatchbacks will struggle - Motor-homes cannot make the drive (regardless of the weather) - AWD and 4x4 no problems. Vehicles with lift will have no problems. Our farm features bush and cleared areas on undulating hills. We are 100% off grid with fresh drinkable borehole water The campsite has lovely green grass, access to the pool and a picnic table, and fire pit. Compost toilet, hot bush shower and rubbish/recycling facilities. We are a small hobby farm with Bee Hives, Dogs, Cats, Chickens (a few roosters) horses, cows and a couple of pet pigs. We are located just 35 mins from Caloundra and 45 from Maroochydore. We are close to Australia Zoo, Ewen Maddock Dam, Maleny and Glasshouse Mountains. Enjoy mountain walks and cycling. Please note that Quails Ridge is also home to Diggers Rest - A Soldiers Retreat and should you be a Veteran or a currently serving member of the ADF - please book through admin@diggersrest.org.au attaching a copy of your DVA Card or stating your service number.
