Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. The large campsite is located alongside our 14 acre dam with a pontoon and dam banks to explore.
The site is flat and mowed with easy access from the road for caravans.
The dam is perfect to launch a SUP/ canoe out on, float around on floaties and spot some turtles or eels.
Great to swim in/ try your luck with a fishing rod, but NO JUMPING from the pontoon as water levels vary and submerged debris/ trees etc. (common sense swimming in dam and water sources.)
The pontoon is perfect for evening sunsets (or a sneaky proposal, which has happened a few times already!)
** Please be very conscious of deciding to camp with children in close proximity to an open water source. Safety is our highest priority.
The campsite is bordered by seasonal crops.
We also have Cattle that rotate through different paddocks on the property, depending on feed and crop cycles. (Not all guests will have cattle about sorry kiddies!)
**Pets welcome, but to remain under STRICT supervision. Not to chase cattle or wildlife. **
Our property is also home to the local remote controlled airplane club.
Guests will be able to see and hear them buzzing around of a weekend. You can watch from the campsite but we ask not to walk through the paddocks or approach the club.
During weekday stays (and some weekends) you will have the pleasure to see fighter aircraft, KC-30s and the impressive C17 Globe masters doing some low flying and pass overs as we are just on the edge of the Amberley RAAF Base circuit area.
This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping shower, and drinking water supply.

-Push bikes,
Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also.
-Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports
-Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye
-Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :)

She loves pats, runs and a brush. She is super gentle.
Sometimes the horses are at nearby agistment so, ask if the horses cam be here for your visit.
Baby animals are seasonal.
There are a couple of small playgrounds, clean double flushing toilets, picnic tables, gas bbq and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in.
We have firewood for sale, and I make a barrista coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself.
Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow while your staying here.
The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary.
Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids.
We also offer day visits for $5 per person.
Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay.
Wivenhoe Dam (photo of big water mass) , Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all close by. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas)

Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property.
Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. The large campsite is located alongside our 14 acre dam with a pontoon and dam banks to explore.
The site is flat and mowed with easy access from the road for caravans.
The dam is perfect to launch a SUP/ canoe out on, float around on floaties and spot some turtles or eels.
Great to swim in/ try your luck with a fishing rod, but NO JUMPING from the pontoon as water levels vary and submerged debris/ trees etc. (common sense swimming in dam and water sources.)
The pontoon is perfect for evening sunsets (or a sneaky proposal, which has happened a few times already!)
** Please be very conscious of deciding to camp with children in close proximity to an open water source. Safety is our highest priority.
The campsite is bordered by seasonal crops.
We also have Cattle that rotate through different paddocks on the property, depending on feed and crop cycles. (Not all guests will have cattle about sorry kiddies!)
**Pets welcome, but to remain under STRICT supervision. Not to chase cattle or wildlife. **
Our property is also home to the local remote controlled airplane club.
Guests will be able to see and hear them buzzing around of a weekend. You can watch from the campsite but we ask not to walk through the paddocks or approach the club.
During weekday stays (and some weekends) you will have the pleasure to see fighter aircraft, KC-30s and the impressive C17 Globe masters doing some low flying and pass overs as we are just on the edge of the Amberley RAAF Base circuit area.

-Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye

She loves pats, runs and a brush. She is super gentle.
Sometimes the horses are at nearby agistment so, ask if the horses cam be here for your visit.

There are a couple of small playgrounds, clean double flushing toilets, picnic tables, gas bbq and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in.
We have firewood for sale, and I make a barrista coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself.
Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow while your staying here.
The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary.
Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids.
We also offer day visits for $5 per person.
Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay.
Wivenhoe Dam (photo of big water mass) , Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all close by. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas)

Our bell tents provide a cozy retreat amid natural surroundings. Each tent is furnished with the option of single or double bedding. Byo linen and cooking facilities. Perfect for couples, families, and solo travelers, these tents offer a comfortable stay where you don't have to do anything! Tents can be set up at any one of our creek or bush sites.
Remote 4WD Camping
Designed for adventurers, our remote bushland sites are accessible only by 4WD, offering true seclusion and natural beauty. These exclusive spots allow campers to escape civilization, surrounded by trails, scenic views, and the calming sounds of the wild. Contact us about staying at these secluded spots as they are not listed yet and need guidance on how to get to them.
Horse Archery Venue
Our property is home to a growing horse archery centre, hence the name "Run Amaç", Amaç being the Turkish work for 'aim'. Bringing an ancient sport into a Aussie bush setting, riders of all skill levels can enjoy training areas and trails, with opportunities for archery lessons and competitions. The camp site is in a clearing in the Eucalyptus woodland on the most rugged part of a working cattle property. The walking tracks range from easy to challenging, with spectacular views from the higher points.
An abundance of wildlife live here. Birds range from Kookaburras to Bower Birds. You are sure to see wallabies and possibly hear a koala if camping in summer.
Please be aware that spring is usually the driest time of the year and the most likely time for fire bans to be in place. A gas bbq with a burner will be provided for cooking and boiling water if a fire ban is in place.

The absolute best! Samantha is an outstanding host and keeps the camp area and toilets clean and tidy. She promptly responds to messages and doesn’t harass you like some other hosts.
Shops etc is only a 5 minute drive away and there’s a bistro/tavern just down the road if you want to grab dinner or a drink. Thank you Sam for being a wonderful host, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

We loved staying at Curragundi Ridge. Catherine is a lovely host. It was more like five star glamping with the outdoor shower, bathtub and first-rate fire pit with all you could ask for. If you’re looking for privacy and a camping experience to remember - then this is it.

This is a beautiful little peaceful spot. A gorgeous view, we purposely didn’t pack any toys for our kids and they were kept entertained for hours playing in the creek and hanging out with the goats!!! We will be back.

We absolutely loved our stay at Cheriton Bush Camp. It’s one of those places where you arrive and instantly feel more relaxed.
We stayed with our caravan and the site was huge, private, and really easy to get into and set up. Levelling was simple and there was heaps of space for the awning, chairs, and for the kids to run around and explore.
The best part was how peaceful it was. The kids had a great time riding their bikes and just being outdoors, and we loved sitting outside in the afternoons listening to the birds and watching the sunset. The stars at night were amazing too.
The hosts were really friendly and easy to deal with, and you can tell they’ve created something special while keeping the natural bush feel.
If you’re travelling with a caravan, have kids, or just want somewhere quiet to switch off and relax, we’d highly recommend it. We’ll definitely be back.

heaps of room but very popular. as much as this place is so popular there is a fair distance from fellow campers geusts are friendly also hosts . toilets very clean land is worth exlporing , would be great for large groups but also for a solo camper like me . definetily reccommend this place . (pine mountain rd is alot of road in many places) Prepare to travel alot of a road while trying to find the place .

We thoroughly enjoyed camping at Gums at the Billabong site at Sandy Creek. It was stunning scenery and we got to see some beautiful bird life. The outside bath was amazing under the stars. There is ample space and this particular site is very private, which we love.
I have already recommended this site to many others.
Thanks very much to Cameron and Christina for the excellent communication and respectful approach.
We particularly enjoyed getting to see the jets flying over, doing practice formation from Amberley Base, this was an extremely exciting surprise. They definitely were not intrusive and not early in the morning so it was very exciting during the day.
