We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required.
Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property.
Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed.
Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water.

The site is flat and mowed with easy access from the road for caravans.
The dam is perfect to launch a SUP/ canoe out on, float around on floaties and spot some turtles or eels.
Great to swim in/ try your luck with a fishing rod, but NO JUMPING from the pontoon as water levels vary and submerged debris/ trees etc. (common sense swimming in dam and water sources.)
The pontoon is perfect for evening sunsets (or a sneaky proposal, which has happened a few times already!)
** Please be very conscious of deciding to camp with children in close proximity to an open water source. Safety is our highest priority.
The campsite is bordered by seasonal crops.
We also have Cattle that rotate through different paddocks on the property, depending on feed and crop cycles. (Not all guests will have cattle about sorry kiddies!)
**Pets welcome, but to remain under STRICT supervision. Not to chase cattle or wildlife. **
Our property is also home to the local remote controlled airplane club.
Guests will be able to see and hear them buzzing around of a weekend. You can watch from the campsite but we ask not to walk through the paddocks or approach the club.
During weekday stays (and some weekends) you will have the pleasure to see fighter aircraft, KC-30s and the impressive C17 Globe masters doing some low flying and pass overs as we are just on the edge of the Amberley RAAF Base circuit area.

She loves pats, runs and a brush. She is super gentle.
Sometimes the horses are at nearby agistment so, ask if the horses cam be here for your visit.

There are a couple of small playgrounds, clean double flushing toilets, picnic tables, gas bbq and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in.
We have firewood for sale, and I make a barrista coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself.
Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow while your staying here.
The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary.
Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids.
We also offer day visits for $5 per person.
Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay.
Wivenhoe Dam (photo of big water mass) , Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all close by. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas)

The pontoon is perfect for evening sunsets (or a sneaky proposal, which has happened a few times already!)
** Please be very conscious of deciding to camp with children in close proximity to an open water source. Safety is our highest priority.
The campsite is bordered by seasonal crops.
We also have Cattle that rotate through different paddocks on the property, depending on feed and crop cycles. (Not all guests will have cattle about sorry kiddies!)

Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow while your staying here.
The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary.
Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids.
We also offer day visits for $5 per person.
Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay.
Wivenhoe Dam (photo of big water mass) , Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all close by. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas)

Pitch your tent or caravan on this beautiful 10 acre property, where each morning you can wake up to the horses at your front door. It's a short drive to the townships of Fernvale or Esk, where you will find all the shops and supply needs for your camping trip.
Have a camp fire and take in the beautiful air of Coominya. Bring your push bike and hiking gear so you can walk the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and take in the beautiful views of the Somerset region. The Rail Trail path traces the former train corridor from Fernvale to Yarraman and is over 160km long in total. You can do small sections at a time. The path is accessible via any of the well-preserved former railway stations along the route.
Not far from here, Somerset Dam is popular with water sports lovers, and fishing enthusiasts. Pack a picnic and settle in for the afternoon beneath a shady gum tree along Lake Somerset’s shores.
We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower and drinking water. Access to rubbish facilities is provided. The camping area is 2WD accessible.
Well-behaved leashed Pets are welcome.

Digitally unplug, with no phone coverage at the site, but retain peace of mind with phone coverage available within a 15 minute drive if you need to reconnect with the outside world.
On your way here, consider visiting Pioneer Village in Laidley and the local lavender farm.
IMPORTANT NOTE: There are no amenities at the campsites and bush toileting or burying waste is strictly prohibited. You must being a camping toilet and toilet waste must be disposed of off site at an appropriate facility.

The Two Tree Hill campground has spectacular views. Better than expected. Very quiet, clean and tidy. The grasses were green and well maintained. The host was so accommodating and respect our privacy. I highly recommend this campground. The road going up there were just so easy . I highly recommend this campground. Can't wait to comeback.😍

Good amount of facilities, simple access. Great for a quick getaway from Brisbane. Plenty of space to find your own area, not too busy. Would recommend to anybody looking for an affordable camping night.

Bare’s Hideaway was a lovely farm style camping experience! The paddocks had great views and were well kept, with flushing toilets and hot showers close by. Paul and Tracy were amazing hosts, making sure we had everything we needed, even taking us to see the new born piglets in their farm.

This gem is way bigger and better than the photos show! Such a quiet, peaceful and natural outlook with clean and charismatic facilities built out of recycled materials. The just were lovely and have though out everything, each day Paul and Tracy would drive past to check if we needed anything and Paul was nice enough to take us to feed the pigs, piglets, sheep and goats. We will be back for sure for such an authentic farm stay.

What a lovely spot at Bares Hideaway! Given the small number of campers they accept, there was plenty of space to spread out. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of toilets and showers. Wherever you chose to set up your camp, you were never far from amenities.
During our stay there was a large group there for a celebration but they were far enough away not to bother us.
We will look forward to coming back again!

What a great spot. Was very well maintained. Plenty of room, we even flew our kite. Enjoyed cooking on the plate above the fire. And even has table and chairs under a cover. And had a magical view of the stars. Would recommend to anyone looking for a private spot that's well maintained.

Our first visit to Bares Hideaway and won't be our last! Paul is a top bloke and very easy to chat to. There are a few different camp site options with something for everyone. We stayed at the Shell camp and were interested to see the goats, sheep and pigs. There are a few old buildings to have a look at and the amenities were excellent! We will be back! Thanks guys

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Bares Hideaway. The location is beautiful. The facilities are basic, but very clean and functional. The people who greeted us were friendly, polite and helpful. For the price it was better than I expected, and I would happily stay again. The only downside for me was that none of the farm animals came to visit when I was there. I am happy to reccommend this place to others.
