We are a short walk or drive from NASH Horse Treking for those who want to do a pub lunch ride on a horse. It is a fantastic experience so Google them to book. We are a very short 900m bicycle ride from the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BRVT) which is one of the must-do cycle treks in the southern hemisphere. If you or your crew need a place to stay while riding the trail then this is perfect for you.
The town of Esk and two major dams are very close by where you can browse the antique shops, waterski, or fish to your heart's content.

Please bring drinking water and a desire to leave the riverside just as you found it. We have enough room for around 20 people in tents or camper trailers.

We purchased our block as a rural escape. It's 25 acres of koala protected bush. Camping is on grassy areas amongst the trees, this is basic bush camping suited to fully self sufficient campers. Our block is completely off grid, there is no power or water.
Listen to the birds, including the beautiful whip birds
Look for koalas and other wildlife: quails, ducks, birds, kangaroos, deer (our property is koala protected bush. Wildlife must not be disturbed).
Under a minute drive to local creek and swimming hole.
A few minutes drive to Wivenhoe dam recreation area.
15-minute drive to Fernvale for supplies (and one of the famous pies from the bakery).
20 minute drive to Somerset Dam for all your water sport fun.
Stop at a swimming hole or lookout on your way up to scenic Mt Glorious. We are About a 15 minute drive from Northbrook Gorge, a popular local hike.

We now have several secluded bush camp sites as alternatives to our more 'civilised' sites. They have no facilities apart from the site so you must be entirely self-sufficient. But all are single sites well away from others.
We invite you to come and share our property, soak up the tranquility of our quiet valley and enjoy feeling at home in nature. And your dog is welcome too (under control please because we value our wildlife, and no more than 2 dogs per couple or family group)!
The land is nearly 200 Ha in the western foothills of the Dividing Range, with the usually-flowing North Branch Creek being a green haven supporting lots of wildlife. It also includes the secluded back valley of Hann Creek to which you can walk, cycle or ride, with many tracks of lengths up to 3 km. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state.
It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge.
And we welcome dogs as long as they don't disturb our wildlife. Shandy, our own dog, is very welcoming to guests and might drop in to your camp for a visit.

How to get to us? We have two ways in .
Option 1:
Via Flagstone onto Bushman Drive – then into Wyatt road follow to the end and turn right onto undullah road follow for 5 ks .
we approximately 14 km from the Flagstone Shopping Centre.
Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended.
Option 2:
From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road.
This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. We do have 2 wheel drives make the journey !

Nestled in the northern foothills of the Little Liverpool range and Minden village, Foggy Lookout Wellness Eco Retreat (FLoWER) is 53 acres of hillside bushland, rolling pastures and private hilltop campsites, with stunning views, sometimes foggy mornings and spectacular sunsets.
Our property is an easy drive to many local towns in the Lockyer and Somerset regions and only an hour to Toowoomba or Brisbane city.
Towns to visit north of us - Lowood, Tarampa and Fernvale and Esk. Towns west - Plainland, Laidley, Gatton and Toowoomba. Country towns south - Marburg and Rosewood, plus easy access to the Scenic Rim. Drive East and you come to Ipswich and Brisbane.
We can help you tailor your own special Foggy Lookout gathering.
Our sites are 4WD access only at the moment and have a designated fire pit for camp fires, just check there are no fire bans in place prior to arrival.

We are a short walk or drive from NASH Horse Treking for those who want to do a pub lunch ride on a horse. It is a fantastic experience so Google them to book. We are a very short 900m bicycle ride from the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BRVT) which is one of the must-do cycle treks in the southern hemisphere. If you or your crew need a place to stay while riding the trail then this is perfect for you.

We purchased our block as a rural escape. It's 25 acres of koala protected bush. Camping is on grassy areas amongst the trees, this is basic bush camping suited to fully self sufficient campers. Our block is completely off grid, there is no power or water.

The land is nearly 200 Ha in the western foothills of the Dividing Range, with the usually-flowing North Branch Creek being a green haven supporting lots of wildlife. It also includes the secluded back valley of Hann Creek to which you can walk, cycle or ride, with many tracks of lengths up to 3 km. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state.
It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge.
And we welcome dogs as long as they don't disturb our wildlife. Shandy, our own dog, is very welcoming to guests and might drop in to your camp for a visit.

Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended.
Option 2:
From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road.
This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. We do have 2 wheel drives make the journey !

Every thing you need in once place, with a beautiful bathroom with hot bath, and flushable toilet…of course with beautiful view. And a nice outside shower and fire pit. Definitely worth another few vissits to hike to mountains and soundings. Catherine is a super host and always responded with very accurate and informative information.

We stayed two nights at Alex’s place. Even in the middle of beautiful views of the main range and of a lovely dam which is constantly visited by thousands of dragonflies then thousands of frogs at night. Alex’s let us know that the cicadas are very loud (January), to the point the dogs were a little stressed, however we’d still recommend the campsite. The campsite is below Alex’s home, and it was nice to meet Alex shortly after our arrival. We had excellent firewood waiting for us (well worth the extras bundle) but sadly we got a large storm so fire was not meant to be.

The hosts are lovely, the Valley view campsite is quiet and secluded and has great views. What a peacefully 3 days despite the heat. The Creek and waterfall are a great spot to cool off. Great camp site with a lovely swimming area. We stayed on the creek flat and to walk to the waterhole was about 5 minutes but not bad at all as it was through covered bush. David was so welcoming and his sweet little dog was a highlight for me and the kids. Our dogs had a great time too. Toilets were well maintained.

Lots of space for kids to run around and play. Plenty of room for small or big set ups. Super close to lake Wivenhoe, great for boating, fishing or swimming! Great getaway close to Brisbane.

We loved camping at Northern Skies, Danielle & her children came to visit us which was a beautiful touch.
The kids loved the playground and open spaces to play/explore.
Toilets were clean & good for portaloos.
