A camping location like no other, such breathtaking scenery of mountains, valleys, nature and night skies. We stayed at The Family Tree camp site, and did not disappoint one bit. Tim and Anna made us feel very welcome. I really hope to return in the near future with my family so they can experience the beauty of this property, absolutely beautiful, such a credit to you guys. Wow, what a stunning place this is! As soon as you arrive, you are greeted by magical mountains, as you drive into the campsite it just gets more beautiful. We spent a wonderful night here, camping together, roasting marshmallows on the campfire and swimming in the river. Creating truly amazing memories, ones we know we'll hold onto for a long time. If you're looking for the perfect weekend escape we couldn't recommend this amazing place enough! Thank you for letting us stay!

2 nights at Crystal Creek Rainforest Treehouse

Aneta and Paul’s treehouse exceeded all expectations. Nestled in a peaceful, natural setting, the space was cozy, beautifully designed, and full of thoughtful touches that made our stay incredibly special. Waking up to birdsong and having coffee on the balcony felt like a dream. The bed was super comfortable, and everything was immaculately clean and well-prepared. Aneta and Paul were wonderful hosts—friendly, responsive, and genuinely caring. If you're looking for a relaxing escape that reconnects you with nature without sacrificing comfort, this is the place. We can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely breathtaking hidden gem. Even the drive to the location will have you in complete awe. The view... I can't even describe. The spot is private, quiet and tidy. Perfect for star gazing, we saw a few shooting stars. Has a small table and 2 large campfire spots which you can utilise; a drop toilet, which usually not a fan of but didn't smell and was very tidy. Brendan was very responsive and the gentleman that met us was very kind

Nice bushy setting Bit too close to the highway for my liking, but it's nice and easy to get into town to get supplies you forgot. Lots of other campers present but spread out enough to not be an issue. Will visit again

Weekend Trip to Gleneden Farm - Heritage Produce

Gleneden is truly a top place to visit and great place to immerse yourself in for a few days. Our site was perfect for 2 with our camper. We didn’t have direct access to the creek, however was close enough for glimpses and we were certainly able to hear it. Whilst exploring the property we were able to check out the other sites that we would like to try next time 🙂 We had a beautiful walk along the creek and coming to the mini waterfalls with multiple swimming holes was a bonus. Sunset Hill also offers a different aspect to camp. Rohan and Fiona are great hosts. We visited their farm shop and came home with a range of their produce. Finally can’t not mention their gorgeous dogs. Grandpa, Dad, Mum and pup.. adorable. Thank you for opening up your farm so people like us can get to enjoy such a great stay.

We LOVE Long Crossing! So picturesque, peaceful and welcoming. We’ve visited twice so far and will keep going back. Today we just didn’t want to leave and procrastinated packing up until the last moment. Being so close to Killarney and a good pub meal is an added bonus. We have 2 dogs and they love it here too. Highly recommend!!

Such an amazing place and site! The view from Site 11 was spectacular and it was very private and shady. Heaps of room. Short 10 min easy walk to facilities, but steep climb back. Facilities were well maintained. Lovely walking around the property - make sure you walk to Jinny Lookout. Tough walk but the view from top justifies the climb. Great long weekend!

This hip camp is awesome! The sites are spacious and spread out so you hardly see anyone else. The views are insane! The hot showers are an added bonus. Would defs stay again! The 4WD tracks are good fun and the lookouts are beautiful.

My husband and I stayed on Site 10 at Larapinta recently. Cam was helpful, friendly & responsive to my messages. We loved the site as it had stunning views & it was both spacious and private. We enjoyed exploring the 4WD tracks around the beautiful property. We were self contained, however the facilities at the shed were amazing for a HipCamp. We would highly recommend this property. Great memories and fantastic experience!

Over the Creek

We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite. We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. Good Firewood for camp ovens etc is available for purchase under Extras. Pre order your wood. For this one off price we will supply you for wood for your whole stay. The property was first settled in the 1840’s and became the headquarters of Tamrookum Station in 1878 when Robert Collins and his family purchased the property. Just over an hour from the Gold Coast and Brisbane. At Logan Park Farm we have camping grounds and Murphy's Country Accommodation - a three bedroom cottage. Search for "Murphy's" through Hipcamp. Scenic Rim Regional Council Camp Ground Licence Acc21/0010. There are no facilities here, if you do not have toilet facilities please do not book any of our sties. A large natural lagoon and the Logan River provide opportunities to relax, swim, fish or kayak. An abundance of Carp and Tilapia provide great fishing opportunities at the Lagoon or the Logan River. Children aged 12 years and under no charge (please do not include them in your numbers when making a booking) Pet friendly off-grid camping. All sites are unpowered. No motorboats or motor bikes. No parties - this is a quiet camping area please keep noise including music to a minimum level. Please respect our wildlife, our neighbours and your camping neighbours at all times. Camp Creek Retreat

In Queensland, just north of the NSW border, in the Running Creek area of the "Scenic Rim". The nearby National Park is Mt Chinghee, which is part of the Shield Volcano Group of the World Heritage Site Gondwana Rainforests of Australia. We have grassed valleys and forested hills, which provide the perfect setting for bush walking, bird watching, star gazing, or just relaxing. All of our camp sites are well separated from each other. If it's total seclusion and privacy you're after, "Fig Tree" and "Ridge Top" would be perfect for you. While "The Old Hut", and "Washout" are closer to the road, they are not visable to each other. Our newest addition., "The Reserve" is tucked away on the banks of a special shady grassed area with lots of room to spread out. Guests staying with us must have their own toilet/shower facilities and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. The sites are accessible for 4WD only. Get back to nature and explore. Many native animals have been spotted on the property wallabies, possums, echidnas, goannas, bandicoots, dingos, and koalas as well as a large variety of birds. Also a variety of frogs i.e.. Red/orange eyed tree frog, desert tree frog, white lipped tree frog, striped and spotted marsh frogs, striped rocket frog and stoney creek frogs. ( see how many different calls you can hear) This beautiful 200acre property in Camp Creek is part of the original "selection" by William Dimmock in 1895. It was a dairy farm, and at one stage the family grew market garden crops on a plateau high up the mountain, using a flyingfox to bring the crops down. Originally the property took in "Screw Gully" from Glenapp up to Tartar Creek Rd. In the 60's Jim Dimmick (grandson to William) sold out and the land was sub-divided. The property now supports up to 40 head of breeding cattle and 2 retired horses. Scenic Rim hosts local wineries; restaurants and coffee shops, and Mt Tamborine, all within an hour drive. Only a 1.5 hour drive to the Gold Coast.

This fully contained cabin is approximately 30 square metres and features a small veranda out the front facing Little Widgee Mountain and Buchanans Fort. Sit back and relax on the bench seat or table and chairs. A larger veranda out the back faces Christmas Creek and the mountains to the west. Relax on the deck chairs and read a book, or sit at the bar and enjoy a drink while watching the wildlife. There’s a table with chairs to enjoy your breakfast or dinner outside.The loft bedroom has a queen bed. There’s reverse cycle air conditioning to keep you comfortable. The kitchen is self contained with a small microwave/oven, a 60 cm ceramic cooktop, a medium size fridge/freezer, a toaster and kettle. The lounge room has a couch, 40 cm TV with DVD player, small table and chairs. There’s no free to air TV channels available. BYO DVD or there’s a small selection available. No Wi- Fi There’s a small firepit and chairs in the yard to enjoy the sun setting over the mountains and stars at night. The cabin is a few minutes drive to the creek where you can go swimming. Relax on the sun lounge listening to the birds sing and Christmas Creek flowing by, or enjoy a Scenic drive or bushwalk in the local area. Christmas Creek Café is just down the road. As a starting point for this new venture at Findon Creek we offer 3 sites which are all suitable for larger groups; all situated on grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites, though the flats themselves are not boggy. Explore the great outdoors by wandering along our extensive bush tracks and trying your hand at fishing in our farm dam stocked with silver perch. Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Kyogle is a 30 minute drive away. And there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall. Figtree Farm at Findon Creek promises opportunities for contemplation, relaxation and fun and it is our wish that you will have many happy memories of your visit here.

Kerry Valley Secret - Stockyard Creek and Platypus Campsites in the Scenic Rim are exclusive bush campsites - once you have booked no-one else will be able to camp at that site - and they are perfect for groups! The Stockyard Creek Campsite is situated on the babbling Stockyard Creek and there is a short walk to the bigger Albert River waterhole. This pretty spot features Silky Oaks and Ironwood trees, views to Luke's Bluff and Ding Bing falls in Lamington National Park, has plenty of shade for tents and a huge space for caravans and camper trailers to turn around in Family groups love the site for the babbling but shallow child friendly Stockyard Creek - perfect for paddling and playing in. The Platypus Campsite has larger waterholes than the Stockyard Creek Campsite and you are able to wander the 2km of river frontage while fishing. It has easy access off the main Kerry Road. Friends love our campsites for catch ups, the bird watching, small historical or nature walks around the property and of course the cool waterholes in the Albert River. Other groups use Kerry Valley Secret as a base camp for hiking adventures in the wilderness end of Lamington National Park. Bring your togs and floaties to cool down in the waterhole on the Albert River. Don't forget the marshmallows to roast on the fire at night (firewood provided). Binoculars and boots are a must for bird watching and exploring our walking tracks through the forest. Both campsites have basic toilet facilities (a portaloo) and firepit (with a free bag of firewood provided). Stockyard Creek Campsite also includes a picnic table and sink. Exclusivity is a feature of both our campsite and for that reason we only take a flat rate booking. Once you have booked no one else will be able to camp at the site, it is all yours.
