All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed limit. Fires must be extinguished prior to departure. Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot! We offer a choice of sites- either Lower Sites close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property or Elevated Sites with views of the valley. LOWER SITES have access to facilities- toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Most sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. These are the only sites that caravans can access. ELEVATED SITES have stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites. When submitting a booking request, select either a Lower Site or Elevated Site. Please include your vehicle make and model, camping setup (tent/swag/camper trailer), type of toilet and ensuite tent (if requesting an elevated site) and number of occupants (adults, children, dogs). Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather dependant. We are conveniently located only 2km from the Cunningham Hwy and are set in a quiet bush location surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Scenic Rim. We have a range of accommodation including powered and unpowered camp sites, group camp areas, bunk style cabins and a fully self-contained cabin. There is never a shortage of things to do, you can take a canoe or boat out for a cruise on the lake or try your luck at some fishing. Moogerah is well known for its large Bass & Yellow belly. There is a good bushwalk at the property that takes you out to Striker point and into the gorge waterfall with spectacular views along the way. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

One booking covers 4 people (no matter how many set ups/caravans/tents you have) You can pick wherever in the paddock that you'd like to set up - there are no pre allocated spots and you will be able to pick a private spot. Take a stroll through the olive grove and set up a picnic amongst the trees! Olive View Estate is a stunning 35 acre 700 tree working olive farm and guest stay accommodation. We have two paddocks on the back of the olive grove with breath-taking views. Enjoy a walk through our gardens and olive grove. You are welcome to roam our entire property - we just suggest wearing enclosed shoes. We have some very friendly farm animals - Olly the goat. Barb, Shaun, Dodge, Daisy, Duke, Georgie, Gracie and babies Leslie & Bo who all love carrots and apples. This is a full working farm and we restore vintage caravans and classic cars. You will see us pottering in the garden or walking our poodle, but we will leave you to your privacy. We have a beautiful vintage bus that we have converted into a farm shop and you can buy olives, relishes, honey, jam, seasonings, magnesium and more. We welcome small gatherings to celebrate birthdays, engagements or function (Christmas etc) just let us know during the booking process. We would appreciate quiet after 10pm. We are only 8 minutes from shops in town and a short drive for all of the Scenic Rim's attractions. We are in the heart of The Scenic Rim. The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need. *Please note any negative feedback for camping received was from a festival that took place on our property in 2022 and the event organisers promised the campers facilities and did not deliver. Unfortunately Hipcamp won't remove these comments and we had no management of these customers. ALL other positive comments are through us direct.

64 Hectares surrounded by National Park. *There are no showers but there is a compost toilet available.* A perfect spot to stay over for the Mt. Maroon climb. The local area has a tourism focus with plenty of opportunities to explore the Scenic Rim. Lake Moogara and Maroon Dam are not far away for jet skis, kayaking and swimming. If you are not up for Mt Maroon climb which could take up to 3 hours each way, there are always walks around the area that are less challenging. We are family friendly with easy terrain to set up for first time campers. Wake up to beautiful views and serenity. Sorry, no dogs are allowed as we have koalas and we are surrounded by National Parks Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Check on the day, it is usually fine to cook with contained cookers during a fire ban. BYO gas BBQ. Please note that there are no showers or potable (drinkable) water on our property, you will need to bring your own. Bring what you need and take it away. Leave no trace.

Pumpkin patch is a flat site. Easy to park and set up. Plenty of room and fire pit. No direct access to creek but easy to walk to the platypus pool on one side and a creek for exploring on the other. Cows kept out by electric fence so nice and clean. Will be back.

What a stunning view! Absolutely spectacular spot that’s all to yourself. I stayed one night at “The Train Station” and throughly enjoyed it. You most definitely need a capable 4x4 and some off-road experience getting there. I needed low range to get up the steep rock steps. It would be even more challenging in the wet. Definitely worth it through and a bit of fun getting there. Flat open ground at the top with 180° views. Excellent communication and navigation instructions from the hosts, thank you. Highly recommended. I will be back again for sure.
