Weekend Trip to One Tree Hill

Guy was super friendly upon arrival. The area is beautiful, and it was great to see all the animals. A little bit of noise from the main road, cause we camped on that side of the property. But we soon zoned out of the white noise and really enjoyed the surroundings.

We had an amazing time and Guy and his family were very accommodating and helpful in terms of what to do around the property and helping out with navigating the grounds. We arrived on Tuesday and stayed till Friday, we got reconnect to nature by being surrounded and greeted by the 80+ animals on the property. Our son had an amazing time, definitely recommend for kids or families due to the wide open spaces and opportunity to feed the animals. The water situation was great, being able to have a hot shower was such a bonus.

Had a lovely weekend away on Debra’s farm. Nice walk to the small waterfall where we were very excited to see a koala snoozing in a gum tree. Beautiful green campground shaded by large trees, friendly horses, plenty of cows to watch from across the creek. The creek itself was lovely and we spent a lot of time scouting around for quartz. Debra was lovely and very welcoming.

Great place to camp and Guy and his lovely family were awesome. Great greeting from young Izzy when we arrived. Very handy having a toilet and shower for guests to use. Waking up and seeing all the animals wandering through your campsite is fabulous. Recommend getting a tub of food to feed the animals, although word of warning, don't shake the bucket or you will have all the animals running to your campsite!!

We broke down 10km for the site and had to have van towed, Craig, Greg & Andy were fantastic in allowing us to glamp in one of their tents, whilst providing impeccable hostage, care, comfort, consideration in ensuring we were looked after not only by them, but the other campers. All contributed to ensuring our stay was easy and memorable- we will be back soon!

The Scrub is a great place to stay for a relaxing farm-stay break. Those so inclined can enjoy a paddle, swim or even a fish in the creek, as well as a walk/hike to a fairy glen on the property. The owners are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay an enjoyable one.

White Wallaby Farm

PLEASE NOTE, We do not appreciate loud music/noise or general anti social behaviour. This will cause you to be asked to leave without a refund. White Wallaby Farm is certified organic growing Garlic, Ginger, Turmeric plus other seasonal crops. Our camping area is separated from the growing areas by the road, the camping area is approximately 2.5 acres, is mostly bush and borders Hopping Dicks Creek. Actual camping site is about 1/2 acre and is a mix of gravel & grass. Farm walks can be taken by negotiation, fees apply ( Morning/afternoon tea included). Available produce can be purchased. Mobile phone and Wifi service is usually very poor at the campsite. Please do not cross over the creek, this is not our property & the neighbours have very strict biosecurity controls in place. We ask that you respect this situation. Caravans up to 6 mtrs long are acceptable (1 area only ) other areas suit smaller vans, camper trailers, tents etc. Facilities are basic, there is a bush toilet and a camp kitchen with gas stove and sink. No showers. No power. Tank water on site is pumped from the creek and must be boiled/filtered before use. Entry to the grounds is opposite Number 325, and has a sign on the fence indicating Number 326. NOTE, 325 is not our property, do not enter this driveway or use their bins. Our private driveway is approx 50 mtrs further along the road and has the number 327 on the gate post. There are rubbish and recycle bins for your use in the campgrounds. This is an area with significant wildlife and for this reason we cannot allow cats or dogs under any circumstances, IF, by chance you hit an animal or see an injured one please report it to us immediately. Please drive carefully. The area is very beautiful with lovely drives, bike rides and walks. The newly opened Murwillumbah Rail Trail is 30 mins drive away. Lovely local cafes are at Crystal Creek and Tyalgum approx 15 mins away Directions, if coming from the south travel to Murwillumbah then either via Chillingham or Tyalgum. If coming from the north take the Nerang to Murwillumbah rd and turn right at Chillingham. This is a very pretty drive and slightly quicker than via the M1. We only accept 1 booking at a time so that you have the area to yourself.

You're welcome to bring your furry four-legged friends along to camp too, but please ensure they do not hassle the livestock or travel across the creek, we have neighbouring properties all around us. Please feel free to swim in the creek wherever you please and you are most welcome to walk up the creek to adventure. There are some beautiful secluded spots and swimming holes, but please do not cross the creek, our neighbours like their privacy. If you arrive to extreme weather conditions please contact us before entering the property as we may have to recommend some safe spots for camping or arrange you to stay on The Vale camping site.

Things to do - Fishing - Kayak or Swimming in the dam is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks - The creek is seasonal, only flowing after good rain. It will dry up in some conditions. - Follow the walking trails for bush walks to spot the wallabies, kangaroos and some beautiful birdlife. - Kids can ride their bicycles along the trails. - Ewenique hobby farm is located roughly 500m up the road, great animal farm for kids to enjoy. - Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports
