2 lovely goats and many curious chickens — all happy to be patted and fed apples, bread and hay — plus our two dogs who call this place home. We’re also pet-friendly, just please keep your furry friends on leads at all times.

Our sites are completely isolated from town, with views and not visible from the road. Sites are set among nearly 100 acres of a mix of open land and rainforest. Multiple natural springs exist on the property and a few small spring-fed waterholes are scattered down the cascading hills. Friendly ducks, geese, fish, horses and an abundance of native wildlife live here. This location is home to several endangered species due to being one of the last isolated pockets of rainforest in the area.
Sites are part of The Bush Clinic where we specialise in designing and making natural creams, soaps, teas, dodorants and other products as well as running regular Meditation courses and topics such as Energy, Frequency, Grounding and Advanced Organic Growth techniques for those wanting to join in are formally available during your stay.
We are new to HipCamp so have limited facilities at present, but they are in progress and we have loads of space per site, comfortable, and lots to offer for those wanting to reconnect with Nature. If you know what ley-lines are - this is the right place to visit ;-)

Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses and goats. We have goat food for purchase on site. 🐐
The Stonesthrow Bush Camping lower sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Most of these sites are suitable for 2WDs and some sites are accessible to caravans.
The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by 4WD and require you to BYO sealed, chemical camping TOILET and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites however NO caravans.
🐾 Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers.
Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent.

Once you enter the Treehouse private drive you will feel yourself being transported into a magical world of gently flowing water, natural light, tall trees, chirping birds, rustling leaves, crickets, and frogs.

The location of the Treehouse was chosen by our then young children. We all fell in love with the magnificent camphor laurel tree growing at the edge of the seasonal creek.
We all found ourselves drawn to that place, so with the help of our friends and our children we began the project of manifesting a dream into a reality - the dream of living in the tree canopy.
As we worked on the Treehouse, the design was constantly changing. The whole family, especially our youngest son, contributed to the manifestation of the dream. During that time we overcame many obstacles and found solutions to build in the tree. It was an adventure, a lot of fun and we learnt a lot.
It became a dwelling for our kids for a period of time, until they grew up and left to conquer the big wide world.
Now it is here for you to enjoy, to reconnect with your dreams, to dive deep into your childhood playful memories where the world of fantasy and reality merge together.

Beautiful location along the Clagiraba Creek. Close to some amazing hiking trails, pubs and shops. The firefly’s at night was an unexpected and wonderful sight to experience.

Stones Throw was so nice from the minute we met Richard on arrival. We were escorted to our site which was very large with a couple of choices for our 14 ft hybrid van. The bird life and serinty around the property where delightful . We took a walk up to the platue which overlooks the beautiful surrounds.
We would definitely recommend this Hipcamp and will return another time ourselves.

Beautiful site atop the property, large camp site and good spacing out between other campers. waking up to cows and horses sleeping next to your site it was great. Host are lovely, even had Richard come up for a chat which was awesome, will become a regular here!

A wonderful holiday! The setting was peaceful, private, and very beautiful. The sky was full of stars and the hills were in view. The hosts and their two children were very friendly, and we felt very comfortable. Note that they have delicious sun-dried beef jerky! 😜 We will definitely come back! 👍

We stayed here for one night and had a great stay! There was plenty of space to set up and it was a really nice, peaceful little spot. Our dog absolutely loved it also.

We absolutely loved this land. The creek was very special and the land was gorgeous. The bird songs, running stream and surrounded by gorgeous nature was all so perfect. Facilities were awesome too. Thanks so much guys. We'll be back for sure!

This hipcamp was cute and surrounded by beautiful nature. The bathroom was clean and the showers had super hot water with great water pressure which was nice on a cold morning! One thing worth noting is you don’t get to select your site, and the owner chooses it for you on your arrival (maybe dependent on your rig, group size, and where other campers are parked). We thought we’d be getting a spot by the river since that is all we saw photos of, but we were actually placed about 100m up the hill, which was still nice and had good views. Although it was just below a residential house, and there were sites on either side of us booked, so it isn’t the most private camp. Each site has a fire pit and they sell firewood on site. For the nature, nice amenities, and easy access— we still think the price was great and would recommend it!

Beautiful peaceful camp. Big sites and fair distance between next site. Loved it and will be back. We live an hour away so great weekend escape but would stay longer if work allows!!! Karlie was so welcoming and helpful! Can’t stress how great our stay was! Thank you Karlie!
