Check in is after 1pm and check out is strictly before 10.30am, we promise you will get your 'Heilen Coo' fix 😝 We have Souvineers and firewood please bring cash 😍 Be mindful around all animals as they get to know you, be smart please. Kids can bring bikes, must be supervised at all times, no screaming or running. Pets are welcome, we have 2 dogs Jesse and Cane, who are both very friendly. Our Maremma is an Italian breed of livestock gaurdian dog, he does bark a little at night to protect our pets, which goes hand in hand with all of our other farm noises 😉 Our Neighbours have fish farms, you may hear the odd gun go off, just to scare the shags away from feeding in the ponds. We arrived at the site and were welcomed by Sarah. Such a clean, tranquil and extremely peaceful part of their paradise. The amenities were clean and were bristling with character. The sites were grassed, open and situated with a view of the river, this allowed the vehicle and caravan to stay connected if desired. Also remember to take floaties or a kayak/canoe to explore the river. Looking forward to our next stay in this beautiful place.

We were incredibly fortunate to discover Bucca Country River Retreat after a last-minute cancellation at another venue on the very day we were due to camp. Sarah was wonderfully accommodating and managed to take our booking straight away, turning what could have been a stressful situation into an absolute blessing. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had stumbled upon something special. The retreat offers luscious lawns and spacious, well-kept grounds that immediately set a welcoming tone. The views overlooking the river are simply breathtaking, and with easy access down to the water, it’s perfect for both relaxation and adventure. As the owner of two large dogs, I was thrilled to find that this is a truly pet-friendly campground. Not only were our dogs warmly welcomed, but there’s also an excellent pet-friendly pub just up the road, making it easy to enjoy a meal or drink without leaving our four-legged companions behind. This retreat exceeded our expectations in every way and turned out to be far better than the place we had originally booked. It’s peaceful, beautifully maintained, and offers everything you could want for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended for anyone traveling with dogs or simply looking for a serene riverside escape.

We loved our stay at Bucca River Retreat! What a perfect place to sit and relax enjoying the surrounds and the river! So peaceful and serene! We enjoyed a swim in the river, perfect temperature to! Toilets and showers are clean and today and presented well! The hosts Sarah and Ron are very welcoming and accommodating to any need required. Fire pits and wood are available to. Chrissy and Duane were extremely hospitable and generous to my boyfriend and I on our one night stay on their farm. The land is beautiful and animals were so gentle. We had the opportunity to feed the highland cows and lambs, made a campfire amongst the beautiful scenery, and indulged in the gift shop too. I would highly recommend this site to families, couples, and single travellers. Anyone would be able to find beauty here and I am sure we will revisit again!
