Bring your fishing rods, kayaks and walking shoes. There's some great fishing here including barramundi, perch, yellow belly mullet, gar - and plenty of catfish to keep the kids entertained! Don’t have a kayak, no worries. We also have kayaks available for hire. We also have the most magnificent sunrises and sunsets here, with beautiful birdlife including hawks and water eagles. Great for bird watching and photography! All campsites have access to the water unless we are advised per booking. Less than 5km down the road you will find Wallaville where there is a great local Wallaville pub, and a corner store that offers great pizza. Telstra is available for communication, and we are also only 18km from Gin Gin and around 50km from Bundaberg. Campfires permitted in the designated areas only, bring your own fire pit when possible as we have a limited number of fire pits available. when fire restrictions/bans are not in place. Plenty of fallen timber around the place to collect for firewood. On the website a quote states, “In the late 1980’s, fossils found near Boat Mountain just outside Murgon in Southern Queensland rocked the palaeontology world. 15 new fossil species discovered here were found to be 55 million years old, predating any other Eocene period fossils found in Australia by 20 million years.” Suited to all, make a day of it and visit 55 Million Years Ago in the morning, enjoy lunch at a local winery before heading to Boat Mountain to see where they found the fossils and enjoy the sunset. Weekend Trip to Paradise Lost on the Burnett

We had a great time. Very private and a lovely place to while away the hours. Excellent directions and support from the host made this an ideal weekend get away. We will definitely look at returning. The site was huge and we had no problem manoeuvring our caravan into the spot. The dogs loved wandering on lead around the river edge. Thanks so much for having us. We really enjoyed the stay.

2 nights at Rockview Farm

I had a fabulous stay next to the billabong and creek with abundant birds and wildlife in a secluded, grassy location next to the water so my self and my dog could cool off in the heat. Tracey was an extremely friendly and helpful host who made me feel very welcome. I saw a huge lungfish, goannas and other lizards, snakes on the other side of the creek, Rakali (native water rats), a huge list of birds, including a pair of resident azure kingfishers and red backed fairy wrens. I am really looking forward to my next visit!

We had the best time at Jennifer's property! Our camp site was spacious, the creek was easy to access for swimming and Jennifer is a great host - easy to communicate with and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Wonmoti's Haven

Follow the directions written out not google maps. Great place beautiful scenery and some pretty good facilities, 4 or so cold showers and some drop holes nice undercover area and Wayne was great. Pretty much plug in the utopia falls rock pools from the Maryborough side and follow that in the dirt road past the brick utopia hut and a place called reeds residents, follow that road down a fair way till just past a creek crossing (was dry when I went)

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Dam Crazy. Peaceful, clean toilets, plenty of birdlife. We loved the walking tracks and the jetty and boat shack are a great addition.

1 night at Range Station Retreat

Range Station was a little gem - very relaxing with amazing views all around. We had the place to ourselves, but there was plenty of room to spread out. It was dry with a total fire ban when we were there, but at other times it would be a sea of green, rolling hills with fire pits, a port-a-loo and a delightful nursery / garden to explore. It’s off the beaten track so it feels like being a million miles away - perfect!

Weekend Trip to Big Rocks Bush Retreat

We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere initiated by John. Lot's of room for us in the Main Camp. My 7.7m long Mitsubishi Rosa (bus to motorhome conversion) handled the interesting track in from the main road without any issues at all. I quite like this park and look forward to future camps there.

Weekend Trip to Big Rocks Bush Retreat

We loved staying at big rocks bush retreat. They were very accommodating and the area was just beautiful to stay. Next time. We will try out a different camp but enjoyed the one we stayed at near main camp was good to be able to bring the dogs and the bikes and have a great weekend away with family.

Weekend Trip to Allium Acres

Absolutely magic spot on a beautiful part of the Burnett River. Amazing sunrise in one direction and spectacular sunset in the other. This section of river is so perfect for kayaking. The river is teaming with lung fish, birdlife, fish and we even saw platypus right at our campsite. The waterfalls downstream were a lovely surprise. Our campsite was absolute river front and bliss. We awoke to birdsong in the mornings and the nights were peaceful. 10/10

Weekend Trip to Range Station Retreat

We loved the tranquility and peaceful atmosphere at this camp! Stunning sunsets and so much wildlife and farm animals to be seen cruising around in the farmlands. The site is fully fenced so is perfect for dogs as well. Would recommend!
