This expansive 178-acre property is situated at the peak of the Normanby Range in stunning Mount Perry. It also boasts breathtaking, endless views of the countryside, mountains, and clear starry skies.
With six hand-dug gold mines on the property that date back to 1880, Mount Perry has a rich history of gold mining. This property offers a great place to retreat as well as fossicking. You must present your fossicking licence on arrival (costs apply to fossick per day).

A huge 350 acres to explore where you will find waterways, billabongs, hills, dams, mango trees and more.
Walk through the seasonal creek, easily accessed at the Mango Grove, and see a lot of Quartz and other rocks.
While exploring you could find Kangaroos, Echidnas, Goannas and many bird and plant species.
Did we mention Gin Gin is only about 15 minutes away? So there's no need to worry if you need more Ice or Food! And if your interested in a day getting wet, Paradise Dam is only 40 minutes away.
The area does have some places that we do not allow visitors due to needing clearing and cleaning. Please be mindful to stay away from the areas with 'junk'. We are trying to clear the place to turn it into somewhere magical and we appreciate your understanding until this occurs.
It is a beautiful place and the price is currently low due to all of the ongoing work we are doing at the location.

Weekend Trip to Fig Tree Camp
Our stay at Fig Tree Camp was something out of a movie. For what was originally planned to stay one extra night up north turned into us falling in love with this property. The scenery is just breathtaking and the community with the other campers made this a wonderful stay, even just for the night. Colin the host is so amazing and made us feel so welcomed. Highly recommend this stay to everyone and can’t wait to come back!

The couples cabin was great. Had everything you needed to stay for the nights we were there. We didn’t use the bbq, electing to go to the local town for food each night. The animals were great, Precious (the pony) was adorable and made friends with my puppy. I have recommended my family and are planning to come back in a group.

I really enjoyed our stay in the couples cabin, the camp is in a stunning location, on top of a hill with views for miles of the surrounding ranges. The Cabin has a bullnose veranda overlooking the dam and picturesque scenery.
The campfire was also a highlight on our one night stay.
Colin is a very friendly and welcoming host ,we will definitely be back again hopefully for a longer stay.

I stayed in the couples cabin which is an absolute steal of price. You can sleep with the doors open (mosquite net over bed) and are greeted with a menagerie of farm animals in the morning. Stunning grounds to explore and the host really goes the extra mile! I was pained to leave.

Stayed in the couple’s cabin. Absolutely beautiful. Comfy bed. Came with everything you need for cooking on the bbq, cutlery plates even bug spray and chairs. Super impressed. The shower facilities are amazing. The property is stunning. And Colin is so welcoming. Will definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Fig Tree Camp
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful campsite, and it was an unforgettable experience. The cabin was cozy and well-maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and rustic charm. The view from the cabin was simply breathtaking, providing a serene backdrop for a truly relaxing stay.
The host Colin and Katrina were amazing, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights of our stay was the variety of animals on the property. We enjoyed interacting with their horse, geese, chickens, goats and even cute piglets and of course their playful dog! It was a delightful experience. Being off grid, the campsite offered a unique opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with nature. The facilities were with a short walk from the cabin, clean toilets and showers that added to the overall comfort of our stay. Overall, this campsite provided a perfect escape, combining natural beauty, excellent amenities, and outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a peaceful retreat.
P.S. if you are into fossicking, you can enjoy the gold mines.
