We have a large communal campfire, sticks from the paddock can be collected, and firewood can be purchased on site.
Paperbark Camp and Farm Stay offers our guests the opportunity to pat and feed our farm animals. You are also welcome to explore the camp area with our dam and lovely bush surrounds where you will find hidden treasures amongst the trees and camp ground.

Take a very short walk to the Pir'ri Reserve Walking Track where you can do a spot of bird watching or simply enjoy a stroll on the rustic bush tracks.
Beautiful calm swimming beaches are only a 9km drive away. You may also like to visit our huge pier at Urangan, or take a walk along the bike path which stretches 17kms along the waterfront. You will also find a shopping centre with Woolworths in this area and other specialty shops (post office and retail). Plenty of takeaway available- KFC, McDonalds, Golden Chicken, River Heads Cafe for breakfast and lunch daily and pizza three nights a week and restaurants in the vicinity.
River Heads where K’Gari Fraser Island barge leaves from is 7.5km from our camp and you are welcome to leave your vehicles parked up for a small fee.

Keep in mind from December to March we have hot, rainy summers. For the adventurous campers who use swags/tents, we suggest a stretcher and a gazebo with walls for a little comfort. Some areas need 4wd also.
Check in is after 1pm and check out is strictly before 10.30am, we promise you will get your 'Heilen Coo' fix 😝

Be mindful around all animals as they get to know you, be smart please. Kids can bring bikes, must be supervised at all times, no screaming or running.
Pets are welcome, we have 2 dogs Jesse and Cane, who are both very friendly. Our Maremma is an Italian breed of livestock gaurdian dog, he does bark a little at night to protect our pets, which goes hand in hand with all of our other farm noises 😉
Our Neighbours have fish farms, you may hear the odd gun go off, just to scare the shags away from feeding in the ponds. It's totally safe.
Feel free to put on some music and have a few drinks by the campfire, but we want our farm to be a place where our animals and our guests feel safe and relaxed, so we do not accommodate noisy parties.
Relax and unwind with a book or go for a bush walk and listen to the kookaburras. Watch Sea Eagles, pelican, wild budgies, rainbow lorikeet and more. All your cares will feel like they are a million miles away as you soak up nature, we guarantee you will have an amazing experience.
6 Kms in at our historic Childers there is a Woolworths, IGA, great pubs for lunch, cafes and bakeries, plus a swimming pool, museum, snakes down under and Woodgate beach 25 mins away.

We recently moved to Gundiah Qld and acquired a beautiful piece of land (approx. 320 acres) with about 70 acres of picturesque camping located on the Mary River.
Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx. 20 minutes from the Bruce Highway) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful.
We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top.
There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts.
Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles.
We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property.
Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times.
We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe.
Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Great atmosphere and meals "tell them we sent you".

Beautiful calm swimming beaches are only a 9km drive away. You may also like to visit our huge pier at Urangan, or take a walk along the bike path which stretches 17kms along the waterfront. You will also find a shopping centre with Woolworths in this area and other specialty shops (post office and retail). Plenty of takeaway available- KFC, McDonalds, Golden Chicken, River Heads Cafe for breakfast and lunch daily and pizza three nights a week and restaurants in the vicinity.
River Heads where K’Gari Fraser Island barge leaves from is 7.5km from our camp and you are welcome to leave your vehicles parked up for a small fee.

Keep in mind from December to March we have hot, rainy summers. For the adventurous campers who use swags/tents, we suggest a stretcher and a gazebo with walls for a little comfort. Some areas need 4wd also.

Be mindful around all animals as they get to know you, be smart please. Kids can bring bikes, must be supervised at all times, no screaming or running.
Pets are welcome, we have 2 dogs Jesse and Cane, who are both very friendly. Our Maremma is an Italian breed of livestock gaurdian dog, he does bark a little at night to protect our pets, which goes hand in hand with all of our other farm noises 😉
Our Neighbours have fish farms, you may hear the odd gun go off, just to scare the shags away from feeding in the ponds. It's totally safe.
Feel free to put on some music and have a few drinks by the campfire, but we want our farm to be a place where our animals and our guests feel safe and relaxed, so we do not accommodate noisy parties.
Relax and unwind with a book or go for a bush walk and listen to the kookaburras. Watch Sea Eagles, pelican, wild budgies, rainbow lorikeet and more. All your cares will feel like they are a million miles away as you soak up nature, we guarantee you will have an amazing experience.

Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx. 20 minutes from the Bruce Highway) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful.
We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top.
There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts.
Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles.

We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe.
Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Great atmosphere and meals "tell them we sent you".

Welcome to Riverside, a brand new campsite for that traditional style campground experience. Heaps of space, surrounded by nature, while still a stone's throw from civilization, come and see the beauty of this incredible natural environment for yourself.
We have river access and our own private river beach (beautiful sandbar) at low tide, great for paddling, bird watching or fishing. Views to Fraser Island, large flat grass fields, freshwater dams and national park forests to explore.
Because we are surrounded by wilderness and on the river, depending on the weather, wind, tide and particularly during the warmer months, insects and bugs may also be present. Please be aware and bring insect spray or protective clothing to suit your visit.

Just 30 minutes from Hervey Bay and right off the highway, this spot is such a gem. With farm animals, a magical fairy garden, bikes, a playground, and beautiful bushland surrounds, it’s perfect for a relaxing stopover.
The best part? The most delightful hosts who are constantly adding thoughtful touches — and it’s not even a year old yet! 🙌
There’s a shower & toilet, water refill, and a handy camp kitchen, making it an easy and comfortable stay.
Being relatively close to the highway (not that you’d know it when here as it’s all bush land!), you can hear some noise, but it’s not super loud.
We stayed on site 5 which was large enjoy for multiple families and close to everything!

Sweeping views is a great space for a group camp. Reasonably flat and grassy suitable for bigger rigs. A short walk to the camp kitchen and facilities if required and the dam. If you're a caffeine fiend, then order a coffee and enjoy from the deck. This was our second time to TerraLyra in 4 months and highly recommend a visit. Will definitely be a go to for a quick getaway.

The coffee was so good, certified great.
The entire place was amazing, beautiful scenery and total zen feeling.
We had so fun kayaking on the lake, enjoyed cooking our steam fish on the firepit and the marshmallow ofcouse.
Highly recommended and we almost can't wait to go back there.

What an amazing property and hosts. Heather and Louise greeted us when we arrived late on Friday night, they explained the property and directed us to our campsite. The campsites were perfect we had a secluded spot with campers either side of us but we could barely tell they were even there. The property is stunning with a huge dam to kayak (Heather and Louise provide kayaks to use free with a coin donation) , we walked the property and it is just stunning. The facilities are top notch and they even had the option to purchase their delicious barrister made coffees and homemade banana bread. These were both delicious, huge shout out to Louise’s’ grandmas recipe of the banana bread(she would’ve been proud) . You have done her proud with your baking skills. We stayed for 4 nights over the Easter weekend and it was busy with over 140 people but it didn’t feel like there was that many people , with how the property was set up and spread out a special mention needs to go out to Heather and Louise for an outstanding job with this Hipcamp. If your are ever up this way I cannot recommend this place highly enough , go visit Terra Lyra you will not be disappointed. Can’t wait to return here for more adventures and fun times at this amazing Hipcamp 5 STARS

Suzan and Vincent were super lovely, camp spot were very generously sized. We had a great time for out first camping trip away in our camper. Very family friendly, My kids loved feeding and holding the farm animals too!
As stated, there is some highway noise over night, and being self sufficient is definitely recommended. There is one Communal toilet that is enclosed with the shower. It was nice to use however caused a bit of a que at times and using the shower with the kids after somone had been to the toilet created a bit of a wait time to let things settle before going in. Just something to be mindful of. The grounds are lovely, the hosts are so welcoming and we will definitely return once they have continued to expand a little. A really nice place to stay 🙂

A property that has had so much work done to it, and the aspirations are still plenty to go. Amazing hosts, always up for a chat. Very clean and spacious site, kids loved playing with the goats, chickens, ducks and guinea pigs. Was very appreciative to the easter activities that were put on, even though that meant me "running" around with chocolates attached for kids to get.
You will definitely see us again and we look forward to seeing the ongoing changes you make!

Such a peaceful property away from the over crowding of some camp grounds.
Awesome camp kitchen with hot water, fridge/freezer, standard oven, bbq, dishes, cutlery and cleaning equipment,
Toilet and shower was a great bonus.
The hosts Heather and Louise were so accommodating and sold barrista coffee from the veranda every morning.
I choose not to use my powered site as they are quite close together so set up on the open field.

Good family fun. We booked the secluded spot which was a walk away from amenities and the dam but worked perfectly for us. 100% recommend bringing your fire pit and foraging for wood (bring something to chop it with).

An incredible stay at Terra Lyra. We stayed at the Inner Glade campsite which was perfect and secluded for myself, my partner and our dog. Heather and Lou keep the property incredibly well maintained and amenities are easily accessible and clean. The dam is beautiful and great for a swim or a kayak. Our dog loved the Baby Dam also. A morning coffee up on the deck from barista Heather is an extra special treat and is a wonderful way to start the morning. Heather and Lou are so warm and welcoming and have a lovely way of making you feel really looked after.

We enjoyed our Easter break at Billabong Breeze, host George was very responsive over messaging and Steve was extremely helpful for all campers over the weekend.
Short distance to Gympie, Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach made it possible to do small trips to see the sights of the area.
