Sunrises are spectacular while sunsets by open campfire are also a highlight of the Riverdell experience. Take a short walk up the creek, west of The Junction carpark above the camp site to see some scenic rockpools and waterfalls in the cool of the rainforest canopy. Walking boots are highly recommended. There is plenty to do and see in the area including exploring nearby Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Gardeners Falls, Kondalilla National Park, Australia Zoo, indulge in a tasting at the Barrel at Clouds Vineyard opposite the front gate, stroll through Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World or take a short drive to some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. Due to new council regulations, we can no longer camp directly near the creek edges as we did before. Our campsites have now been relocated to higher ground, offering beautiful views of the creek. The creek entrances are accessible within 50 to 300 meters, depending on the path you choose. Unplug and unwind at our 22 acre camping paradise nestled amongst the rolling green hills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Listen to the babbling water sounds of Scrubby Creek and the Mary River that meandering through the perimeter of the property for over 1 kilometer. Stroll through our mini rainforest, paddle in the creek or have a dip in one of the many rock pools. We will even let you build as many rock towers as you like! Throw an inner tube in the creek and float around while the kids laugh and play all day long. Let the kids dig holes or fossick for the perfect skimming rocks, ride bikes or play endless games on the beautiful landscaped grass. Plenty of trees to put up that hammock or soak in the creek with views overlooking the wilderness. Sit back and gaze at the starlit skies while the kids roast yet another marshmallow on the campfire. We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite. We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. Due to new council regulations, we can no longer camp directly near the creek edges as we did before. Our campsites have now been relocated to higher ground, offering beautiful views of the creek. The creek entrances are accessible within 50 to 300 meters, depending on the path you choose. Unplug and unwind at our 22 acre camping paradise nestled amongst the rolling green hills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Listen to the babbling water sounds of Scrubby Creek and the Mary River that meandering through the perimeter of the property for over 1 kilometer. Stroll through our mini rainforest, paddle in the creek or have a dip in one of the many rock pools. We will even let you build as many rock towers as you like! Throw an inner tube in the creek and float around while the kids laugh and play all day long. Let the kids dig holes or fossick for the perfect skimming rocks, ride bikes or play endless games on the beautiful landscaped grass. Plenty of trees to put up that hammock or soak in the creek with views overlooking the wilderness. Sit back and gaze at the starlit skies while the kids roast yet another marshmallow on the campfire. We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. The property is filled with the delightful sounds of nature, from wallabies to a variety of birds, with the charming chime of the Bell Bird and laugh of the Kookaburra resonating through the trees. Positioned near the river's origin in the hinterland, the river is a habitat for the platypus, Mary River Cod, and other native animals, including the critically endangered White-throated Snapping Turtle. One of the highlights of our campground is its proximity to the river. You'll have easy access to one of two river access tracks, just a short stroll away. As you approach the river, you'll be greeted by the soothing shade provided by the surrounding trees. The river itself offers a diverse range of experiences, from calm and shallow areas perfect for kids to play safely, to exciting rapids and refreshing rock pools for adventurers of all ages, with water depth varying depending on seasonal conditions. Guy and his family were welcoming and gave clear directions on how to get to the property and where to setup camp. The kids especially enjoyed feeding the animals. They have horses, ponies, cows, sheep, goats, alpacas, chickens, turkeys and even free-range guinea pigs. The animals were very friendly and the ponies and chickens were very curious about what we were eating and came very close to us and the ponies allowed the kids to pat them. We pre-purchased a bucket of animal feed when we made the booking. Animal feed times are at 5.30pm and 8.30am. We camped near a tree towards the top of the driveway. The tree was decorated with festoon lights which provided a nice light to the bathroom at night. We got to see a shooting star and the kid's thought they might have seen Santa's sleigh. It was a great first time camping trip for us. Thanks Guy.

We had such a wonderful stay at Gums. The site was private, peaceful, and a really decent size, giving us plenty of space to relax without feeling crowded. They have no facilities apart from the site so you must be entirely self-sufficient. But all are single sites well away from others. We invite you to come and share our property, soak up the tranquility of our quiet valley and enjoy feeling at home in nature. And your dog is welcome too (under control please because we value our wildlife, and no more than 2 dogs per couple or family group)! The land is nearly 200 Ha in the western foothills of the Dividing Range, with the usually-flowing North Branch Creek being a green haven supporting lots of wildlife. It also includes the secluded back valley of Hann Creek to which you can walk, cycle or ride, with many tracks of lengths up to 3 km. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state. It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge. And we welcome dogs as long as they don't disturb our wildlife. Shandy, our own dog, is very welcoming to guests and might drop in to your camp for a visit.

Horses/cattle live here so animal droppings are to be expected and cattle may bellow from time to time, it is a working farm after all. Please do not feed the horses or cattle. Pets are welcome but must be kept on leash/restrained at night. Pets must not disturb any of the livestock or native animals in the area. If you a lucky you may even spot platypus, there is abundant birdlife, bandicoots and bettongs if you are a nature lover. Powered Caravan site is also grassy and flat with a large area for kids to play. If you choose to set up in the open away from the trees the house will be in sight (45m away), but we live a quiet life and respect your privacy. The property is on the Brisbane River, the site offers river glimpses however there is no river access. Suitable for tents, campers trailers, caravans and RV's. We are close to the CBD so the site is a great option for a 'shake down' for your new caravan or camper trailer. If you're new to camping this is a great place to ease into a lifestyle that offers so many opportunities further afield. You won't have to share the campsite with other campers, you will have the spot all to yourselves. Supermarket, bottle shop, takeaways, cafe and pharmacy less that 4 km away. Campfires are permitted. Firewood is available as an 'extra' for $20, please go to 'extras' to add to your booking alterantively purchase on arrival. Power (10amp) and drinkable water is available close to campsite. Daisy Hill Conservation Park is also a short drive away which is a great spot for a picnic and offers mountain bike trails, walking tracks and a BBQ area. Moreton bay access is also close by with a short drive to either Victoria Point, Cleveland or Redland Bay. In addition, the property has beautiful walking trails. Campfires permitted however must be kept within the allocated fire pit and must be outside of restrictions. You must have portable toilet and be fully self-sufficient. All waste to be removed by campers upon departure. We would like to preserve this site for all future campers so please ensure that you abide by our rules. Generators welcomed, to be switched off between 10pm and 7am. Please be mindful of loud music after 10pm - please adhere to this request else you may be asked to leave. The Warrill Creek runs through the property, adjacent to the campsite and is home to an abundance of wildlife and vegetation all of which you are welcome to explore. The creek runs seasonally and makes a beautiful swimming area, but is just as enjoyable when dry allowing for a great path to explore the area. The site is only a short drive off the main road so the property offers an ideal spot for short stopovers, or alternatively use it as a base to explore the rest of the Scenic Rim. The abundance of walking, hiking, fishing or biking opportunities in the area are endless, or if you are more into relaxing into some food tasting and wineries then you’ve hit the jackpot. Just an hour and a half from Brisbane CBD! In lieu of camping with nature there are no amenities and limited service with some providers, but if you are chasing something in particular please let us know. We are happy to help. Harper Creek Road and Harper Creek Criss cross one another as you drive through the valley. The ridges either side of the road are largely timbered, whereas the valley floor is productive land. The large property is located towards the end of this no-through-road, almost at the end of the line. While the property has dual access from both Engle Rd at the top camp; Harper Creek Rd, we enter from the valley. Camping on the top block is also available for 4WD vehicles only and not suited to large caravans. Campers are required to be self-contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pits with firewood provided or BYO. The mid-1900’s cottage sits in an idyllic setting, framed by the trees. The cottage is not yet available for Farm stays but will be soon. The location, vegetation and topography provide the privacy, the fauna & birdlife (the Bellbirds) combine to provide the solitude. Harper Creek cuts through the front corner of the property where it is met by a minor creek that drains the high country. You want more … how about a total of 115 acres (46.42 ha). While it is predominantly well-treed, it does have some cleared camping opportunities. It is watered by the creeks and one dam. There’s a great camping site at the top of the block, with a fantastic view! The property is off Aherns Rd, close to the village of Conondale and mid-way between Maleny & Kenilworth. With good access to the freeway via either Maleny or Kenilworth.… a perfect bush camping spot in a perfect setting! Pets welcome, please ensure they are kept under control and picked up after.

We are a multi-generational property, so you may see some of us wandering or driving around the property, these tracks are not close to the cabin site, but definitely in view of it, we'll definitely be mindful and respectful of your space and privacy while you stay with us. We also have a lovable short haired border collie named 'Benji', he will probably follow you down to the cabin and soak up as much love and attention as he can, he's harmless.
