Perfect for kayaking, floating on an inflatable lounge or swimming in the warmer months or to simply watch and listen to the rapids. The property boasts 160 acres with camp sites situated on a large flat well maintained grassy paddock, all sites look out to the creek and mountains beyond.
Easy access for 2WD and 4WD vehicles with plenty of room to turn around.
Campers MUST be fully self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities. Porta-loos are available to hire at additional cost for your stay, please message for pricing.
Please place all waste in bin provided. Please ensure all waste is bagged.
Dog friendly, however ALL dogs must be on a lead at ALL times and picked up after.

Situated a 1/2 hour drive South of Beaudesert, following the signs to Rathdowney and turning onto Christmas Creek Road that veers to the left. 26kms along the very picturesque Christmas Creek Road and you arrive at a little bit of paradise in the Scenic Rim. So much to see and do in the area, a short drive to the Lost World Tourist Drive and Tommerups Dairy to name a few. Further along Christmas Creek Road takes you past the Christmas Creek Cafe and onto Lamington National Park and bushwalks to the Stinson Memorial Crash Site and Larapinta Falls. So much to enjoy in the Scenic Rim.

We loved our two night stay at Bindarah downs. The grassy sites are well set apart from other campers, ample shade and good access to the creek. We enjoyed a stroll through the farm to see the dam. We will definitely be back.

Sites are amazing nice and big, you don’t have to unhitch if you don’t want to. The grass is well maintained. The owners come by and have a chat. The kids had a ball swimming in the creek and feeding the cows. Will definitely be back.

This was our first time taking the caravan to an unpowered site and stayed to bring in the new year. It was perfect for the kids and dogs with the creek, plus we were able to feed the cows. The weather turned out great - warm for the day and cooler for the night to use the fire. The owners are very friendly and will be back for sure!

Great little get away. Love that there was water in the creek and the dogs could cool off. Ample space between campers and lots of places to walk around the property. We visited Mt. Barney which was a short drive. Highly recommend this space and Shayne is a great host and was very welcoming.

Bindarah Downs is a lovely, quiet, rural setting perfect for our family camping trip. Shayne was very helpful and accommodating- great directions, explanations of the farm animals and walks and local area. Only a 15-20 min drive to Mt Barney NP hikes (including Lower Portals swimming hole). We camped right by the creek, which was running with beautiful clear water. No mozzies. Grounds well maintained. No toilets, so you need to be fully self contained.

Beautiful spot 🌿
A lovely grassy area to set up camp.
There’s a lower camp area closer to the river that I’ll probably try next time.
Super peaceful — the road is very quiet, and once the dam closes after 5pm you’d be lucky to see a car go past.
Only a 15-minute drive into Murwillumbah and about 3 minutes to Uki.
