Weekend Trip to Nguni Campsite Sunshine Coast

Absolutely loved our weekend stay at Nguni Campsite - Riverside. Hosts are fantastic, knowledgeable and very welcoming. The camp site is very well maintained and you have complete privacy all weekend to recharge and relax. The river is lovely to listen to overnight and the birdlife was spectacular. We walked down to the river and explored the lovely sights. Highly recommend this camp! It’s going in my top ten for sure!

Great to be away from the crowds. Close enough to Eumundi market, Coolum and inland waterfalls. Piggyback Thai was a sensational suggestion for dinner. We loved having a warm outdoor shower/bath. Very nice to be allowed to stay at Katrina's property.

This is a great spot to base yourself if you're set up for offgrid. Really close to Noosa and Coolum beach. Sites are large but can be a bit wet after heavy rain so keep that in mind. Thanks Gretta.

We decided to stay here because the free camps were packed like sardines. This campground was the cheapest in the area and even though there are no facilities it was a lovely and safe place to stop and unhitch for a couple of nights. I think the previous reviewer must have driven into the wrong property? It’s the second driveway with the HipCamp sign. You can camp in the open near the road or go around the back.

Great place to stay, tucked away in the valley with views of the mountains. Close to Port Douglas and Craiglie. The bump track is at your door step, tough hike but worth it. Pat was very accommodating and his dog Ella is absolute beautiful.

We have over 100 different varieties of dragon fruit, with each one having different foliage characteristics and tastes, like watermelon, lime, coconut, lychee and more. Half of our 3.7 Acres is farm forestry that we are building a syntropic farm in. We are 5km from the beach, 4.5 km from the nearest supermarket and 13km from 1770 headland. 12km to the north we have Eurimbula National Park where you can explore middle creek and Eurimbula creek. 8km to the South we have Deep-Water National Park, where you can discover by 4wd some amazing uncrowded beaches. Close by we have Agnes Water main beach, Workman’s beach, Chinamans beach and Springs beach to explore. 1770 headland offers a short walk with an amazing view. Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main lake that offers great swimming. Site five overlooks the lake and opens into a private bush area. River rd ranch is at heart of the sunshine coast being only a 10 minute drive to Coolum beach and Yandina, 25 to 30 minutes to noosa, mooloolaba, Maroochydore beaches, Sunshine Plaza, bars and restaurants! Being only 20 minutes to the sunshine coast airport it’s a great opportunity to park up your big or small touring rig to head interstate at short notice if required. This amazing property has views of mt Coolum and mt Nindery with some of the best sunrise and sunsets around. With easy access to the property we can also cater for larger caravans and big groups of people. Being on the river there is option for fishing and crabbing, we are only a few hundred meter walk to the Yandina Creek Wetlands walking trails. Camp Fires are allowed on site. Hunchy Hills 4WD Bush Camping

Formally a banana & pineapple plantation, Hunchy Hills is strictly 4WD only access property. There is a toilet and gas hot shower included. If you have a camper trailer it needs to be off-road/high clearance and you need to be experienced in towing off road. No caravans sorry, too steep and tight. Sites 1-3 are large level pads approx. 12M by 12M, each with their own fire pit and log seat. Site 4 is perched on the side of the hill and 6M by 6M in size. Suitable for vehicle based campers/swags/small tents with a sense of adventure and best with max 2 people. We have a backup spot too if access is too difficult. Pets (on leash) are welcome, please ensure you pick up after them. Kids (15 and under) are free and are not counted in the maximum number of guests. Camp site 1 is to the right of the trees on the flats of the front paddock. You will also see a fire pit. We are now a working hobby farm and have animals free ranging on the property. Mary River is down the road 4km and a great spot for fishing. The national trail runs along the river and is a great spot for walks or bike rides. We have a number of horse riding camps in the nearby area as well.We have fire drums available and well behaved pets are welcome. Situated 45 minutes drive from Bundaberg, our 320 acre property has a small goat farm and 270 acres of bushland to explore. Take a walk through the trails or follow along the dry creek bed (seasonal). There are plenty of kangaroo, bandicoots, goannas, water dragons, koalas, and varieties of bird life to catch a glimpse of. We back on to Littabella national park where there is more to discover. There are 4WD tracks through Littabella National Park, take a half day adventure through the track to Rosedale pub for lunch and come home, making a complete circle. Trail bikes may be driven through the national park. We are close to Baffle Creek for excellent fishing. There is an annual family fishing festival in September. Or try Lake Monduran about a half hour drive where there is great fishing, kayaking and swimming. There are many state forests and national parks nearby to explore. 20 minutes to Rosedale, 30 minutes to Norval park Beach where you can 4WD during the winter months and see turtles nesting October to March, 20 minutes to Baffle Creek southern boat ramp at Winfield, or 40 minutes to Baffle Creek, 45 minutes to Bundaberg. 1 hour to Agnes Water. 2 hours to Hervey Bay. 5 hours to Brisbane. Guests are required to be fully self-contained with their own shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Free firewood, collect as much as you need from around the property. We have a small apiary, and our happy bees enjoy the tree blossoms way up in the treetops. They do produce plenty of yummy honey, so ask if we have any available.

Tappy's Tours and Camping

The campsite is situated on the beach, sheltered by the sheoaks in the back dunes. At the rear of the campsite lies a freshwater lagoon, locally known as the keyholes. Currently, there are four sites available to be booked. There is a camp kitchen with a two gas burner, all pots and pans, plates and cutlery with table and chairs to sit at. There is also a big esky there to use for either your food or drinks. Fresh water is provided in twenty litre drums. The bush shower works on the keg being heated up just like a kettle. Once it is hot then a nice warm shower is to be had to wash off all the salt from the ocean. There is also two compost toilets for your convenience. A unique feature includes the opportunity for surfing, fishing, and swimming in your private lagoon. A short drive will take you to Point Lookout. 10 minutes and you are at the pub mixing with the locals. Access is via the beach only and tides are a consideration. Please check "Point Lookout tides" on Willy Weather. I don't normally travel on the beach if the tide is over 1.5 metres. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is required. Camper trailers can be brought in as they are light. Caravans are not permitted due to the tight turning circles.
