We had the most incredible stay at FNQ Blooms! Nestled at the base of Queensland’s tallest mountain, this tropical flower farm is nothing short of magical. The property is a lush paradise, and camping beside the crystal-clear rainforest creek was an unforgettable experience. The campsite itself is relatively flat, spacious, peaceful, and surrounded by natural beauty — perfect for families, groups of friends, or couples looking to unwind in nature and have the serenity to themselves (like us!). Falling asleep to the sounds of the waterfall and waking up to the sounds of the bush was pure bliss. Exploring the creek and private waterfall was a highlight for me. The water is so clear and refreshing, and the scenery feels untouched and pristine. It's rare to find a place that offers this level of tranquillity, beauty and privacy in one spot. FNQ Blooms is a true tropical haven, and the flower farm adds a unique and vibrant touch to the whole experience. Jodie is an exceptional host and gifted us her time to share with us the lifecycle of a vanilla bean which was incredibly interesting! We can’t wait to come back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape in one of Queensland’s most beautiful corners.

Weekend Trip to TerraLyra Sanctuary Retreat

What a beautiful place it is, I loved my stay. Terralyra is a place for healing and sanctuary. The tent was large enough and the views from my tent were lovely. The showers and toilets were very clean, and Bush kitchen had everything I needed to cook and store my food. I enjoyed my coffee time sitting on the deck and inspired by reading the 4x4 adventure stories of Australia in a magazine that was left on the table. The host welcomed me and showed me everything I need to know during my stay, thank you Heather and Lousie, I will see you soon.

This is the second time we camped at Kerry's land. Site 1 is private and secluded, next to a crystal clear creek. Site 1 is better than site 2, which is in direct sight of the campers on the other site of the creek.

My partner and I loved camping at Echoes in the Valley! The property provided amazing views from every angle. We were allowed to drive along the tracks which displayed more breath taking scenery the property provided. Francine and her lovely staff made the stay relaxing and free of worry. My partner and I enjoyed the night under the stars by a campfire roasting marshmallows. You can opt in for additional activities the site provides such as camel feeding. We went during breakfast and was definitely an experience you can’t pass. Would definitely recommend this place to those that are wanting to escape from the city for a night and explore the surrounding exhibits.

RUSTIC RETREAT

Our property is situated on the banks of the great sandy strait just 400m from the Tuan Boat ramp with access to Fraser Island by boat or kayak. We are surrounded by Tuan State Forest and wetlands. There is a medium sized dam on the property for swimming.The Tuan Forshore has a park, BBQ area and picnic tables as well as garbage disposal. There is plenty of space in the surrounding forests for mountain biking, motor-biking and walking. 3km down the road in Boonooroo you will find a large park with tennis court and public BBQ's. The bowls club and Golf Club just 3km away and serve meals on weekends. This site is suitable for caravans, RV's, camper trailers. There is NO toilet facility on the property. We are VERY dog friendly and can be off lead as long as the dogs are friendly towards people and other dogs and don't bite our horses. We also have other peoples horses agisting in paddocks. Activities you can do include boating, kayaking, swimming, fishing, crabbing, walking, stand up paddle boarding, bird watching, kangaroo spotting, playing in the parks, beach tennis, mountain biking, hiking etc. Camp sites are far from the main house and other sites so you can have camp fires and play music, use generators without worry. Campers will need to be self contained (rubbish and toilets) and please leave your campsite the way you found it. Don't leave toilet paper or rubbish in fire pits please. Enter / Exit the main gate by pushing the code into the key pad. Gate closes after 20 seconds once it is fully open so be quick. NOTE: ***During Summer- November, December, January and February there are midgees (sandflies) at dusk and dawn and we do recommend midgee screening or spraying the mesh on your caravan windows as the standard mozzie mesh will not keep them out. Bring coils, a fan as they hate any breeze, bug spray and long sleeved pants and tops to wear in the evenings from about 5pm-7pm!*** *4X4's are recommended if you don't stay along the fence line as it can get muddy if there has been lots of rain. If you stay along the fence line you will be fine as the roads are compact and hard and the camp sites along this fence are higher up, they are marked with Fire Pits so camp here if you want to stay dry and get a good breeze.*

Accomodation options include:  - 10 unpowered sites available which suit a variety of set ups including sites with your own private deck looking over the creek, shaded sites and sites with sun for solar - please refer to each site description for specific site size and photos. - 6 unpowered tent sites in our grassed where the main fire pit is located - no vehicles are permitted on the grassed area but parking is close by. - 3 private creekside huts / tree houses with stunning views, comfortable beds and bedding. Pets are welcome - as long as they are well behaved and owners clean up after them. There is a central fire pit with seating and cooking plate and an undercover fireplace / dining room as well if there is any rain or bring your own fire pit and use at your site. The property is located in the Pioneer Valley just outside Mackay, Queensland. We are 2 kilometres from the breathtaking Finch Hatton Gorge in the Eungella National Park. Just 1 hour drive from Mackay and 2 hours from Airlie Beach and the drive here is beautiful too. Two or three nights is a good amount of time to be able to explore the area including Eungella National Park, Finch Hatton Gorge (Araluen Cascades & Wheel of Fire) while still having time to relax at the Bushcamp. This 660m2 property backs onto the dog friendly Toogoom Beach. On low tide there is Km's of beach for you and your little ones to explore. Play with the soldier crabs and go searching for the prettiest shells. Dont forget to watch the sun rise over the ocean from the picnic table with your morning beverage of choice. If you prefer to skip sunrise you can always start your day by preparing some dough for a pizza night with the family. The outdoor patio is equipped with a TV to watch the footy on while you fire up the pizza oven. Giving you the freedom to create all the pizza combos you wished dominos had. Even though it is a shed it has all the basic ammenties any place has. The only difference is the ceiling looks a bit different. Fully equipped kitchen is stocked with all of the things you'd need to cook a sunday roast or even a microwave meal if you'd prefer. Complimentary coffee and tea for those that need it. The bathroom has a large shower with a gas hot water system. Its a dream for anyone who enjoys hot showers. Dual washing machine and dryer for those wet weather days that won't allow you to use the clothes line. We can accomodate up to six guests. Bedroom one contains two single beds, a 40" smart Tv and USB charging outlets along with a small cuboard for clothes storage. Bedroom two which has been closed in utilising large wardrobes with hanging and shelf storage. This contains one queen size bed and a 40" smart TV along with USB charging outlets. We have added a sofa bed in the lounge room that is equivallent to a double bed. All beds linen has been provided to allow for a comfortable stay. All TVs have access to netflix as well for those much needed movie nights. The yard is fully fenced with plenty of space for your boat or jet skis. Public boat ramp is only 2.5km's from the property giving you access to the fish the nearby reefs and fraser island. There is a hose long enough to flush out your gear and give the boat a quick hose down when you finally decide to come back to land. Fraser island sealink ferry is only a 35 minutes drive away to make a day trip to one of the largest sand islands in the world. Hervey bay Wetside Water Park is also only a 20 minute drive away and is a perfect way to keep the kids happy and entertained. Swim with the turtles at Reef world Aquirium or go for a wander down the Urangan peer. FInish up the day with some dinner at the Hervey Bay boat club with a beer or wine in hand. If you have missed any essentials or you're craving a crumb sausage the Toogoom convenience store is only 800m down the road along with the pharmacy. Local restaurants are near the boat ramp for a night free of cooking and clean up duties. Throw a rod in at the jetty while you're waiting for breakfast at Goodys.

Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in. The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type. Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you. Note: There are no ground fires permitted and at certain times of the year Qld Rural Fire brigade may enforce a total fire ban. We have our “Caffeine Injection” kiosk on-site for the weekends and school holidays.
