We now have a little country stall selling local handmade gitts, soaps, shampoos and lotions, suncatchers that sparkle, cold drinks and water lce blocks for the kids. Our property is situated on 25 acres in beautiful South Kolan, enjoy the peace and quiet and enjoy the farm animals. We are just 25 minutes to Bundaberg or Gin Gin. 5 minutes to 2 local pubs, service stations and local shop. Plenty of beaches, rivers and entertainment in the local area. If you are looking for somewhere fun for all the family you've come to the right place. Come and be blessed, enjoy our little piece of paradise. Bring your boat, kayaks, fishing rods, push bikes, surfboards etc. As the local surrounds hosts lots to do. parking available, plenty of parking out front. We have plenty of open space for you to pitch your tent or park your camper/caravan. Enjoy waterfront camping with easy access for fishing or water activities and swimming; BYO fishing gear, canoes, paddleboards, kayaks, etc. Due to insurance restrictions, no motorised boats or motorbikes are permitted. Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Pets are allowed but need to be kept on leashes, or in a secured area at your campsite, at all times. The Boyne Burnett Inland Rail Trail Incorporated is facilitating the development of the disused rail corridor from Taragoola (near Gladstone, Central Queensland), through the Boyne Valley, on to Monto, Eidsvold, Mundubbera and south through to Gayndah in the Burnett Valley. This property covers those campsites in or adjacent to the Boyne Valley. The corridor is an inland link between Gladstone and Gayndah, which has great natural scenery, wildlife and historical structures with small country towns spread along its length. There are several campsites (shown here on Hipcamps), on former railway sidings along the trail and a range of other accommodation types, some community NFP operated, which we encourage you to support. If you are after a quiet serine getaway on 40 acres, this property is for you. You are 4 minutes by car to Rules Beach where you can drive your 4WD with no permit necessary. You are 2 minutes to Baffle Creek Boat Ramp / Creek where fishing is great. You can Hire a boat from us ( boat license required) or a paddle board on the calm waters of the Creek. We have a filleting table and abundant water to wash vehicles. A Tavern, small convenience store and takeaway food is 10 minutes away at Baffle Creek Town. Turtle nesting on Rules Beach from November to March. Abundant bird life, wildlife and kangaroos. Close to the Historic town of 1770. We are off the Grid with 12v power, although there is a generator if you require to use the 240v. We have over a hundred mango trees and a couple of dams. Apart from the cabin, that has facilities and is fully self contained., if you want to camp you must be fully safe contained. We can also a small Jack-off camper that is also available to hire. There are walking tracks on the property.. Please do not leave pets alone in cabin. FREE Firewood Tours are available.

Was a lovely stay, my kids loved the pool and feeding all the animals. We took our two dogs and they were very welcome, just keep in mind they have to be on leash at all times because of the farm animals. Great stay

Loved staying here! The owners were easy with communication, and the sitters were lovely! The highlight for my two kids (under 5yo) was Peppa the Pig. What a big pig!! They thought it was funny and great how quickly she ate the food we gave her! I would definitely stay here again!

This is a very well looked after place. Toilets and tank water. I went to walk the rail trail and this campsite is in the middle between Kalpowar and Builyan ON the trail, very convenient. I went during the week and was there 3 nights all by myself, AMAZING. The views are just beautiful. Graeme was very quick to answer and give me directions. Navigator sent me somewhere else LOL

Great place to camp. Awesome views. Quiet. First night just us. Second night only one other site BUT then the bicycle riders started coming about midnight! And kept coming! Bright lights and chatting from groups of riders. Maybe there was an event so bad timing? Oh well it is on the rail trail. Still a good camp.

Very nice camp. We loved it. Loads of space, nice grass areas all slashed. New, clean toilets, great mountain views, Right on rail trail for hike/ride up to Dawes range tunnels, historic bridges and lookouts. Felt secure staying here even though we were only ones here.

We had an incredible stay here! Thank you Cheryl for making stay soo warm and welcoming! Our daughter absolutely loved all the animals! And there was no shortage of animals! Popcorn the pony was her favourite! Loved feeding the animals too! Your property is amazing and it was great to sit around the camp fire at night. Thanks again for hosting us. There was only one other camper using the site and we were able to have our own space. We also loved the access to the rail trail and the tunnels …. We were only camping 5m from the trail!! Loved the feeling of remoteness along with the peace and quiet that comes with making the effort to get there.

We had the most wonderful stay at Cheryl and Rick’s farm over Easter! From the moment we arrived, they made us feel incredibly welcome. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The farm itself is absolutely beautiful – peaceful, well-kept, and full of charm. It was a joy to see how well the animals were cared for – they all seemed genuinely happy and content. One of the highlights was the pool – it was spotless and so refreshing, the perfect way to relax after exploring the farm. We can’t recommend this place highly enough. It’s a perfect getaway for families.

What an absolutely lovely place to camp. There are lovely clean composting loos if you don’t have your own. Lovely caretakers who keep them in top notch condition. Many trees have been planted and while small for now (literally planted only a few weeks ago), as they grow there will lots of opportunities for shade. We camped in 4x4s roof top tents, and two in ground tents with a giant dog. The area is rolling hills but we found a beautiful level spot with views all around. A great spot for those passing through either by road vehicle, or those on the rail trail by foot, pedal or hoof power.
